The National Optometry Centre offers FREE eye exams!! Ok admittedly they're student run clinics, but that actually works to your benefit. The students are excited to learn and to be performing tests on you, and because of this you actually get a more thorough exam that you might get with a seasoned vet. Still worried about the capabilities of students checking out your eyes well not to worry all tests and results are re-checked by a supervising consultant. I had a really great experience here and everyone was super friendly and helpful and I left feeling like my eyes had gotten their best exam in years and even better because it was all FREE. They also have contact clinics and other specialised clinics and will recommend you to those if they feel you need it. Absolutely superb!

He jsut asked me if alians are controlling my mind, if the TV is talking to me and if I have thoughts of killing people, then he increased my anitdpresants and sent me on my way. Thats not what I went there for. Waste my time and cost me a day off work for nothing

No communication around delays or what to expect. Nurse couldn't find a vein in 3 places. I'm black and blue. When she did find one she lost it and then explained she didn't know if she had finally found one. The surgeon would know when they tried to sedate me. 5 hours after arriving I got to theatre. No apologies nothing and a mouth piece put in. I'm fasting no food or water and sedative is administered. Felt nothing and tried to let the surgeon know but the nurse pushed my head down told me not to move or try speaking.... In recovery and removed everything myself bar the cannula. No one came near me. They almost forgot to take bloods again before I left. Private hospital????

Mentione everything to staff at the start what i actually want from them and main reason why i am there. Met 3-4 different staff members during this time and at the end the last one staff memeber said she cannot give anything in writting .. There was alot of staff in the store but seems staff need more training about the services they can offer. I wish staff should have mention this to me at the start so i would not waste my 1 hour there and find an alternative place who actually have more trainned staff. Complete waste of time.

Also the price advertised for Varifocal from 230 Euros ended up paying 540 Their so called designer frames are cheaply made. After one of my lenses got scratched I decided to look for a new optician. Found one in Dalkey. Gill Opticians were absolutely amazing. From the time I entered their establishment the customer service was excellent and huge selection of high quality designer frames Also they use Zeiss lenses which are the best. If you need glasses that will last you for long time I would recommend Gill Opticians to anyone. You won't be disappointed

They are usually so…read moreuninterested and keen to write out scripts, that I never feel like I've done some good spending with my 50 - 70 yoyos. Went here for the first time earlier, and was greeted with the friendliest GP I've ever come across. She sat down beside me and just listened, then chatted with me as if she were a friend, offered solid advice and many options to suit me, and was even eager to save me money on a few things. Besides this, when I arrived in the centre, I had to wait a max of 3-4 minutes before being seen. The place is smack bang in the middle of Smithfield, so really easy access-wise, and it's pretty brand new, so nice and bright, airy and clean looking. Overall, my visit gave me full confidence in their abilities, something I'd very rarely say about any visit to a GP centre!

However, more importantly, both the doctor and the nurse I saw were so efficient, thorough, professional, and warm. This visit put my uncertainties at ease when it comes to finding a new physician (moved here a year ago from the U.S.A.) I was very pleased with my visit and feel I'm in good hands. Here's to 'an apple a day' keeping the doctor away - but, if it doesn't, this is where I'll be!

I've been going to Mercer for 5 years now as it's linked to my college so everything is free for me…read moreuntil I graduate so I'm not familiar with the charges, but the clinic is very clean and most of the doctors are very nice and professional. Over the years the doctors working there have changed and I usually seem to get a different doctor each time a make an appointment. I can understand that they are a busy clinic, but it would be handy to see the same doctor so you don't have to explain things multiple times or have them stare at the computer trying to figure out your medical history. On a good day I only wait 5-10 mins from my appointed time, but on a really bad day it can go up to 30mins. The clinic itself is very clean and big, has BBC on the tv and it's not too hard to make an appointment with the exception of December~ January. They do travel health and immunisations as well at a cheaper rate than places like Tropical Medical Bureau but are only open until 5:30pm. Overall, nice clinic, efficient service and professional staff.
