Waited 3 months for an appointment with Dr Killeen, who came recommended, only to arrive and find out I was confirmed with Dr Leftwich. I was told if I had wanted Dr Killeen, I would have had to wait a year. By the end of the visit, I was smitten with Dr Leftwich. Plenty of parking. Well lit, spacious waiting room. Still had paperwork to complete, even though I had pre-registered. Receptionist was a bit frazzled but and told me when I said the name of our insurance wasn't the right plan that it wouldn't really matter. I told her there was a difference and sat down. We all have our days. Once I was called back, which was after my appointment time, the nurses were super efficient, friendly, willing to answer questions and talked me through each step of the process. And it was a process, but it appears they have it down. Immediately felt comfortable with Dr Leftwich, and by the time I left felt confident I knew/know the status of my eyes. He was also able to put a name to a spot in my eye that other doctors for the past 20 yrs have told me, "Keep an eye on it." Check out was quick and I was offered portable sunglasses, which I totally used. Going back for a 6 mon on the spot, and I'm a satisfied and hopefully permanent patient.

The ladder "would be less painful and leave a small mark under my eye for about 2 weeks". 5 months later and I still have a bright white sack of steroid fluid under my eye that looks like a pimple. It has barely changed since the day it was put in. After inquiring about it several times, I was told to be patient and put makeup on it. I would have NEVER chosen to go this route had I been told I might have this for months, years or even permanently. Very disappointed with how this turned out. Update: Perhaps due to this review, his office refunded my co-pay. He also called and asked to have another look, but I had already started to see another eye doctor.

For some crazy reason she allowed Dr Leader to perform my RK surgery and he ruined my eye. 30+ years later my vision is impossible to correct with contact lenses or glasses and my eye is in constant pain. I should have sued him into bankruptcy, but I was young, dumb, and too forgiving. Avoid Dr Leader, he butchered my eye.
