I've never had a problem with going to them for five years. My appointment time I didn't have to wait more than five minutes. They helped me get a frame. Smooth transition picked up my glasses on time. They notified me that they were in the only thing I had an issue with was this last year? I got a new pair of glasses and I don't think I set them on my face properly for the bifocal so just make sure you double check that and that's not on them. That's on me. read more

This place has thousands of women's glasses and hardly anything for a straight male, what they said was for males did not look like anything the guys I know would wear, bright yellow or red frames, and the ones that maybe were at least bearable, were $250, to $300 for cheap plastic frames made in China, that leaves me $50 to $0 to pay for the lenses that cost another $300, to be fair I blame my insurance company too, because this is the only place I'm allowed to go, I literally have not had glasses for over a year now because of this, I'm on disability living off of $1200 a month and don't think I will ever be able to afford them again... and when I mentioned what my concern was, the lazy women who work there could care less, and point to their overpriced sections of "men's" glasses, I'm not a flamboyant gay man so they don't work for me... these people don't give a shit about anything unless you have blue hair and a nose ring in your head, the only reason I'm giving then 2 stars is because the doctors do a good job read more

I came here to get an exam for glasses AND to get contact lenses for the first time. The Dr that did my exam, Dr Cristina Escober, was great, no issues at all with her or the exam. Staff was nice. At checkout my eyeglasses and trial contacts were supposed to be ordered and I was told they'd call me when both arrived, so I didn't have to make more than one trip. I got the call that my order was in. When I got there my glasses were there and they were great. My contacts were not there. I had to ask about them and first the girl helping me said there were no contacts on the order. Then I told her there should have been. The reason I came here was because I could get glasses AND contacts, and that I was told I'd be called when my glasses AND trial contacts arrived (the girl helping me was the same girl that helped me at my exam appointment and told me that). Then she said, "Oh they are just taking a little longer" and they'd call me when they came in. I checked the order status online a few days later and the contacts were only ordered the day I picked up my glasses. The arrival date came and went with no call, so I called to check on them. I called the customer service line, and they tried to connect me to the store but then came back on the line and said, "they said they aren't in yet". So, I called again a week later, exact same scenario-no one from the store got on the phone just passed a message through the customer service line saying they were not there yet. About an hour later I get a call from the store saying they were mistaken, they were there. When I get there to pick them up, keep in mind these are trials and I haven't worn them before, they hand me the contacts and say, "let us know if they work out and we'll put the prescription in". No instructions, no tutorial, nothing. I don't know if that's how it's done at "an outlet" so I said, "so I throw these away every day?" "Yep" "Ok.... Thanks" and I left. I went home and watched YOUTUBE videos. I got through the 5-day trial, and they were good, so I called to ask them to order the prescription. Once again no one from the store got on the phone so I passed the message through customer service to order the prescription contacts and was told "the manager is going to handle your order herself, and she'll call you tomorrow by noon". I never spoke to the manager myself, so I don't know who actually said that, but I never heard from her "tomorrow by noon" so I called the next day and told customer service I was supposed to get a call from the store manager by noon but didn't hear from her. The customer service person remembered me and said, "really? that's what I was told". People get busy, I get it, I just wanted to make sure the order was placed for my contacts so she tried to connect me to the store and again came back on the line and said, "they said they will order them." I looked on the website a week later and didn't see an order, but I figured if the manager handled it herself maybe it wouldn't show up. I called a few weeks later and surprise, the order was never placed and the only order showing online was the order that was placed for the trials when I picked up my glasses and it showed that they were not ready for pick up even though I had picked them up weeks before. I sent an email to customer service explaining the situation and I got a response saying they got my contacts ordered. Great. I got a call yesterday telling me they came in, pretty much on schedule so I was happy! Went to pick them up today and they were another 5-day TRIAL pack not the prescription. Different person helping me today told me the manager didn't see that the trials ever arrived so she ordered trials, which would be understandable since the only contact lens order showing now was the one placed more than 2 months ago when I picked up my glasses and it still showed they never came in. At that point I was done. I told the person helping me if they could just give me my prescription, I will order them myself. She said the prescription would need to be signed off by the Dr and she was working at another store, but I would have it by the end of the day. I had it a couple of hours later, so this person did a great job taking care of that. I got my prescription and ordered my contacts from a different place. In closing, if you need glasses, you will probably be ok. If you need contacts, based on my experience, I can't say the same. read more

I took my chances after reading the negatives reviews because they were kind of old. I'm glad I did! The doctor was very thorough and efficient. The staff answered all my questions. We ordered two pair of glasses and they both arrived sooner than expected. I asked for a copy of my results and they gave me one without any issues. See you next year! Let me start by saying I worked with an eye surgeon for a very long time. Eye exam was decent... Frame selection huge, but that's where you make your money! Well, my glasses came I hated them and they let me start completely over without charging me! Got my new glasses had them for about four months and the lenses started cracking but I know that that's a lab problem. I tried to call a couple times and tell them my lenses were cracking. They told me I was out of warranty. I finally drove all the way over there and talked to the manager, the one who took care of me most of the way through this journey. All I did was take my glasses off hand them to her and say this isn't normal wear and tear. She said oh my goodness no it isn't. I'll order you a new set and she did!! I think these kind of places are OK if you don't have any eye problems other than needing glasses. There aren't any opticians there that know how to fit a frame on a face. Most of those girls are just stylists there to tell you they all look nice. There's so many things that go into picking a frame. I'm able to adjust my own glasses so I can make them fit my face the way I want them to. I guess this is why these days everybody you see their glasses are sliding down their nose! I also think if you're very nearsighted, these places won't work for you because you just can't order lenses your base curves have to match or you won't be able to see right and you'll feel like you're on a boat lol. I could say so much more. Bottom line is, awesome customer service from the manager, but God forbid you try to talk to one of the other employees because they are clueless. read more

I went to Optical Outlets. Two years ago and customer service is the worst. I came in alone and needed help to pick out glasses. Now after seeing Doc I can't see at all. No help again. Paid for glasses. Left realizing did not give me the glasses for my dilated eyes. Got caught in heavy traffic on Wickam Road. Eyes started watering and could not see at all out of eye driving in traffic to Lk Washington. So my stupid self accidently made an appointment with them wentvin and same treatment. The finale was handing my glasses not wiping them adjusting nothing. Never have I experienced such shoddy behavior from a business.. They all need to do a six week course in CUSTOMER SERVICE BECAUSE... there is none there!! read more

Thirty days later I have still not heard anything back from the "district manager" about my glasses situation. This place is a JOKE...but I am not laughing. Another eye exam from a reputable independent DR. and the results were amazing. The prescription from optical not one but two were way off. The new exam and glasses cost me $700 out of pocket....but now I can see and read. Better Business Bureau has not heard back from this place either. that's how they are ...sweep it under the rug!!!! Finding the store was fine but I agree with other reviewer, they aren't ready for you when you arrive for your appt time, I sat for about 20 minutes for my 3:00 pm appt. When I went to pick the glasses up and they didn't adjust the glasses to my face, now I have to make another 25 minute trip back to get them adjust. Staff are not trained properly, you should never leave the store without seeing the adjustment team! I went to get an adjustment after getting my glasses but the individual who was greeting and arranging appt tried to handle my adjustments, when I got home I realized they are to loose and falling off my face. I know finding staff can be hard right now but a well organized business doesn't let their untrained staff take care of customers. Very unprofessional, zero respect what so ever. I get a text message that my glasses are ready the Sunday before Christmas ( odd timing first thing Sunday morning, but ok, maybe someone is trying to play catch up for the holiday week?) Before i waisted my time driving down on a Sunday, I google and see they are closed Sunday, open Monday. Monday I go out of my way while trying to pack to catch a plane first thing Tuesday morning. I fight to get to the store before closing, now hoping to have my brand new glasses and have my hopes dashed by a sign reading "Closed For Inventory." Thanks, thanks a lot, i really needed my time waisted 20 hours before I fly away for Vacation. Here is a pro tip from someone who has been in retail management for over 15 years, do you inventory the first week of January when nobody gives a shit. I don't know how and why they have an exclusive contract to see all the patients sent by the VA and the kids sent by the Brevard County School District?... I went there 3 times, twice sent by the VA for myself, once sent by the school with my child. All 3 times they keep sending me numerous texts and calls reminding me to be there 15 minutes before my appointment time. Adalyn was very helpful in helping me pick out the right frame for my face with my glasses and very professional and referring me to a further doctor on some more tests that need to be done overall it was a great experience. read more

This is the worst place to buy glasses. The lenses where done incorrectly and I had to wait for them to be redone and it took a long time to get them again. They may have excellent prices, but you get what you pay for both in customer service and product reliability. I ordered the anti glare and scratch finishes, but when I finally got my glasses the lenses immediately stated to scratch, the anti glare finish cracked and the frame itself got really pliable. Go somewhere else and pay a little more, but then you won't have to replace the glasses so soon either. read more

If I could give it zero stars I would. I made an appointment after receiving a form from my daughter's school for her to get an exam and a pair of glasses. I explained that my daughter has special needs including autism, cognitive impairment and sensory issues. I asked to be with someone who could work well with non typical children. I was assured that they had experience with people like my daughter and were able to work with her without issue. When we went to the appointment a very pleasant woman tried to do the usual tests with my daughter. My daughter can not sit and tolerate light coming toward her eyes or air being blown into them. With me holding her head still, the lady was able to do one test, but the "doctor" insisted that she try the other one. My daughter could not sit in place (with me restraining her) to do it. We then went in to see the "doctor". He was not the least bit personable. He appeared disheveled and wore sandals without socks. His whole demeanor was not typical of a professional office setting. He asked me, "So what is her developmental age?" in an annoyed tone, all in front of my daughter. My daughter may have special needs, but she is fully aware of what people near her are saying. He told me that he couldn't examine her and said we should see Dr. Tether. Um, do a two minute google search. I let him know that we go to an ophthalmologist in Orlando who does a thorough exam and has no problem working with people who has special needs. I was informed that I could bring that prescription in and they would use it to make her glasses. I then took my daughter to Orlando where she was terrified after her experience with the "doctor" at Optical Outlets. I did get her to go in and it was such a dramatic difference. Every person who we encountered was amazing with my daughter. They had methods they used to distract her and to get her to look where they needed her to look. Clearly they were all trained to approach every person, no matter age in ability, with respect. I took my daughter (whom I had to bribe with a smoothie) to Optical Outlets to drop off her prescription. Immediately I was told that I had been called because they could not make her glasses. I was NOT called. I wouldn't have bribed my child to go back to the office of horrors if I had been notified that they could not make her glasses. Apparently the voucher that my daughter was given by Brevard County Schools us only good at one location in all of Brevard County - Optical Outlets in Suntree. They would not accept my prescription from a reputable ophthalmologist and needed one from their quack of a "doctor." So...I wasted time going into their office twice and terrified my daughter for NO reason. If you have a child with special needs, I would HIGHLY suggest that you not go to this office. Both times that I was there it was completely empty except for the three ladies working there and the "doctor." The ladies were pleasant, other than saying I'd been called when I had not, and this really isn't a review of them. The entire establishment has an "off" feel. Something isn't right there and the "doctor" is not professional in the least. read more
