Everything went amazing. We came down from Maine for the week on business and I brought all my glasses, that needed work, here to 20/20 BECAUSE they're amazing. We came in and the service was spot on, very attentive and got seated right away, straightened out our vision insurance, got right to work. That was mid morning. In less than 4 hours, both pair of glasses got refitted with new lenses for just over $200. Wow. They fit and we're set up perfect. Now, I go to look at the reviews and was shocked to see 2.2! We got friendly and capable service, good quality glasses and lenses, and fast turnaround here. Prices were also reasonable. We were on vacation and forgot our kids' contact lenses and glasses. So we searched around for one hour places. Walmart doesn't do them, but they recommended this store. Initially we were concerned about going here because there some negative Yelp reviews, but we found far more favorable reviews on Google, so we gave it a shot. I'm glad we did. We even enjoyed chatting with the staff, who were very helpful. This is an easy five stars. They kept all their promises, gave us a good deal and were very friendly. read more

I never write reviews, but I feel violated and upset. I just left and will never return. I paid for a warranty on my lenses and used it a year later, all good. Then, about 3 months later, one of my lenses began to delaminate. That's the best description I have. They said they were scratches, and that was clearly not the case. I don't know the process of how these lenses are made, and they had no explanation. I was made to feel like it was my fault?? They did remake both lenses after speaking to multiple people and a nominal charge. I also left with the feeling like I did something wrong. When I picked up my lenses, I asked the question, can I buy the warranty for the new lenses? It was an immediate NO, hmmm I wonder why? During the initial visit, just about everyone in that office was involved. I guess I will continue to use Lenscrafters, I tried 20/20 eyeglasses, and they failed me twice. read more

There is a hovering cloud of unpleasantness and incompetence hanging over this store in the past year. I was a big fan of theirs and recommended them to everyone because they make glasses in house. With the exception of Iris and Gail (quit) the employees are angry and snotty. Today a double header, the wrong prescription in my glasses and my contacts. The contact counter woman gave no explanation and did not comprehend the notion that the contacts they ordered for me were incorrect. They bagged them and handed them to me, I checked them before I left and saw the wrong prescription. I went back in to explain that the prescription was wrong and got a blank stare and almost a denial of error. No acceptance of error, no congenial, "we're sorry about that." Two years ago, I loved them, now, not so much. Sorry. I did get a sample pack until the correct ones were ordered. I buy 180 disposable contacts four times a year, $140 x 4. And at least 4 pair of prescription sunglasses. I am done, done with them. Moving on. (sound of crickets). read more

That's not my issue, the staff was unfriendly at best, condescending and rude! Staff is helpful and selection is pretty large. I really, really like how they service my glasses anytime I walk in and for free. That is a big deal!! The reason I give them lower star's is only because, when I went there it was cheaper to buy glasses out right than it was if I used my insurance. I left happy that I can see again but really upset about how much I had to spend out of pocket. I talked to another eye glass store, who looked at my insurance to confirmed I should have got my lens free. They also talked in out of getting translation lens telling me they will not work in your car. Well that is great, but what about all the time I spend outside? I wish so much that I had got the translation lens now. I went back to see about adding them it I would have to get all new glasses. :( read more

*Beware* If you have insurance make sure the frames you are purchasing are purchased at the going rate because they triple charged me for the frames I bought through my insurance company, which means not only did I get ripped off, my insurance company got ripped off as well. I did my best to let the insurance company know and never got a response back, so it may be fairly easy for this company to over charge on frames. I would give a negative number if I could. My dealings with management and a few of their employees was a completely unpleasant and unethical experience for me. I purchased a high end designer pair of frames and progressive lenses through insurance and I told the optician immediately after trying the glasses on that they felt way too strong. She didn't acknowledge me, would not listen to me and in fact pushed me to give it a week or two . Well, after two weeks of repeatedly coming back to the store, they finally admitted the prescription was wrong as evidenced by getting another exam by the other optometrist, which clearly showed a mistake on the prescription. The original exam was stronger than the second exam. They tried to downplay it through conversation with me, as if the prescription wasn't too much of a difference. They tried to shame me and I wasn't having it. After going through that very uncomfortable and unpleasant experience, I decided and was allowed to get a larger frame because I was told a larger frame may help me see better with the progressive lenses, more field of view. One of the opticians recommended I try a certain brand of frames on and I was told they were high end designer frames and the price tag reflected that. I ended up liking the frames and when I picked up my glasses I should have realized they really weren't designer frames when he told me he didn't have a designer case for the frames. Fast track about three weeks ahead, every time I picked up the frames I wondered why the arms looked like maybe they were cheaply made and so I did a search on the web and found out these frames were three times less than what I paid. Now I understand marking up a frame but the price I paid was grotesquely marked up and I called another location of the same store to find out what they were listed at and was told the frame's cost. The cost was marked up more than $100 than on the web, but not grossly over marked up of what I paid. And this the same company, just a different location! When I brought this up to management from the store I bought it from she told me point blank "you chose these frames." Actually I didn't, the optician handed them to me to try on, he recommended them to me and then I chose them. Did they slap on a higher price tag because they knew I had insurance? I don't know. I asked who the regional manager was and who the owners were and I did some research on the Internet and found out this is a privately owned company. Based on my experience and based on reviews I've read and based on a couple experiences from others when I was in the store, I think this is a very shady business and I will never ever go back. Every single time I dealt with these people there was an unpleasant feeling inside of me and I should've ran the other way. Because life is stressful enough right now with everything that's going on in the world I'm not going to fight this. The least I can do is write my experience and maybe this will help somebody else. The staff are all knowledgeable and available to answer questions without hovering. The In-Store Optometrists are staffed and equipped to screen for potentially serious eye problems. The basic exam is reimbursed. They have a good selection of frames at each price point. When it's time to sit down and write up the order, they explain the lens options without any hard sell. Anytime I've brought glasses back for adjustment or repair (even years later), they've performed an ultrasonic cleaning and replaced the nose pads. read more

Went there two years ago for glasses even though I had to drive over 30 minutes from South Brevard. I thought they had a good selection and I was treated well and thought the prices were very good. When shopping for glasses based on price I've learned that adding extras adds a lot to the overall price above the advertised price. 20 20 included many things as standard and I was very happy with my glasses. I have pretty good insurance, but because I need progressive lens, they nickel & dimed me to the tune of $600+ for two pairs of glasses! (I got two pairs of glasses because I thought I was using their "buy one, get one free" deal) When I called an hour after getting back home and checking my insurance coverage, I was told about their no coupons with insurance policy, and I asked to cancel my order. Looking for new specs today, went to 20/20 Eyeglass Superstore for an eye exam appt. Arrived 20 min early and started filling out paperwork, told the young lady I wanted to ensure they accepted my insurance before I saw the Dr. Told her specifically,, I didn't want the exam if they didnt accept my insurance.. She had me complete another form, she took it and walked away. 15 minutes later she called out for me to begin my exam. 30 min later, exam complete and after having looked for frames, we were unable to find anything we liked tremendously so I told the young lady assisting i'd simply like my prescription so we could look elsewhere for frames. She then asks for the $39 for the exam. I reminded her that I asked specifically about the insurance and that I didn't want the exam if they didn't accept my insurance. She stated that the Dr. doesn't accept insurance and that I had to pay for the exam. YOU COULDNT HAVE SAID THAT BEFORE THE EXAM? I Went ballistic...ultimately paid the bill but told them very boldly that their business is deceitful and that I would do everything possible to see that everyone I knew (& more hopefully) was aware of their shameful practice. Avoid this business if at all possible, if this is your place of employment, I'm sorry. I know people gotta work but get out before they destroy your morals. I went here and was greeted by 2 men with arms crossed, blocking entrance to the store. I was surprised by their attitude and that I had to show my prescription to look at the available frames. After looking and finding a pair I was interested in, I could not find anyone who would answer my questions, even though there four people sitting at various desks nearby. I was refereed to an empty desk, where I waited for 10 minutes for anyone to help me even though the store was empty. After receiving the highest quote of 6 local stores, I asked if they had a handout I could take notes on, and tried to take a cell phone picture of the frames I had. I was stopped and informed that pictures were not allowed in the store. At this point I left the store. Easily the worst customer service and highest prices of all the eyeglasses stores in town. I went here for an eye exam and brought my own frames. It was not until the final person I seen who ordered the lenses for me didn't even ask me what kind of lenses I wanted as far as quality, I needed progressive and when he was finished the price came to $350 which I feel is out rages for a pair of lenses with no frames! After thinking about it I called there to see if I could cancel and of course no refunds or cancellations. In the past I went here for glasses and paid around $300 for lenses and frames but this time I feel I was really ripped off and will not go back there again. If you need glasses or lenses avoid this place unless you want to spend more money then you should. I know, they may be more expensive in some cases, but worth it with my scenario, after having gone through tons of eye doctors never getting my RX right for neither glasses or in particular, very complex contact lenses (RPG multifocal) done right. Dr. Markle was the first doc I've been to in years who absolutely got my glasses and contacts unbelievably perfect the very first time. When it comes to your eyes, paying more sometimes is absolutely worth it. For those who don't have the major eye troubles I do, sure you can go to a cheaper place, but if your vision is full of astigmatism, oddly shaped corneas and you are considered legally blind, you cannot mess around with finding "cheap" alternatives. I tried it for years, all to no avail just to save here and there. Actually, they were less expensive on contacts fittings. There are always complainers, no matter what, but for the first time in 8 years, I can see as well as I did 20 years ago, thanks to this amazing place and Dr. Markle. And that to me was worth it. My friends can get glasses 2 for 1 super cheap, etc, but not me...I have too hard an RX to fit, and requires the ultimate thin lens and "naked" frames, and of course, all the add-ons. And as for contacts? Not many docs these days still handle RPG multifocal lenses which are horrendously hard to get right without multiple fittings. Dr. Markle did it perfect the first time, and I haven't seen that in over 10 years. Donna is great, came in to get glasses re-adjusted and she understood exactly what I needed the glasses to do...I'm sorry some people had complaints, but I can honestly say I can see again like I haven't seen in ages. Don't appreciate being told to have my 75 year old mother and 14 year old daughter to wait outside in the hot 98 degree weather while I had my appt. We all had masks on and we were literally the only customers in the store! I was told it's the policy right now to have people leave as soon as their appt is over and no additional people. My 14 year old finished her appt and was told she and my mother would have to wait outside for me. I understand taking precautions by social distancing and wearing masks, however, there was no one else in the store! The staff were rude and still insisted they wait outside in the heat?!?!?!? Doctor was the only decent part of this experience. The tech that assisted my son made him feel bad about the frames he tried on for sunglasses then she repeatedly made mistakes doing the invoice. Disgusting. That's the word I use to describe my 5 year experience with this place. I have 6 pairs of glasses from them, so my experiences are over a broad range of time. The staff is very pushy, and they REFUSED to give me my prescription after I paid for my glasses and paid for my prescription to be done. Also refused to give me Very shady business. Rachel (staff member there most recent experience) is very rude, as are other employees. After buying a $300 pair of glasses, I had to wait 15 minutes like a buffoon until someone would come help me get my glasses adjusted. It took them less than 10 seconds to heat them up and fold them. When I asked for them to be readjusted, they snared are me and was almost angry that I was there. Many other places are much cheaper locally, and have far better staff. I have spent well over 1k with 20/20 and I will never spend another dime with them. Waiting for the doctor to see me takes 1+hour every time, they are always rude or not open to answer questions. I made my appt at 1030 am thinking that I needed an appt to have someone look at my glasses that I messed up on jan 31 I arrived and they asked if i was there for an eye exam or contact exam and I answered that I did not know. I explained why I was there and the young receptionist implied that I was there for one or the other, so I said glasses. When I went in the exam room I said that I wanted to see if my glasses were ruined. Dr looked at them and said they can try to bend and play with them but that I would have to sign a waiver. When he was done they told me to go over in the glasses section and wait that someone would come see me. Emily came and I told her the same thing, and that I probably should look at glasses in case they could not repair my glasses. She said she would take care of me....and that Mike could look at my glasses when we were done. I settled on cheap frames at 159, but when they added up all the other charges, it came to 522 dollars. I was also told that it would be two weeks before my glasses would be ready She then took me over to Mike and he made me sign the waiver. He took my old glasses and 15 minutes later he returned them saying that they were still out of wack, but he got them pretty straight. When I got home, I noticed that the scratch that I thought was on the glasses was now gone with his cleaning and that the glasses fit well. This was two hours after I left.  I then called and told them that I did not need the glasses and they said no refunds. I asked to talk to the superior and was told her name is Wendy and that she was at lunch. She called back 90 minutes later and told me that my glasses were already made and that they say two weeks because they send them out for the anti glare. They offered no discount, no refund etc only store credit. I offered to just pay for the glasses even though I felt they scammed me. But I would not pay for the anti glare since the glasses had not been sent out (it had only been two hours). Wendy was sarcastic, laughing and rude and would not work with us. Wife Called Wendy Novak at 20/20 eyeglasses and asked her boss name. Melissa Schneider. She said she's the CEO, but Wendy refused to give us her contact information, even email. Says she's never available. Said I could email Wendy only at wendyw@2020eyeglasses.com. My wife explained that We felt we were being scammed and that We would be reporting to the better business bureau and online for their unethical practice. I tried using the web site to make an appointment, but when I realized it would not work for that day, I called in and made an appointment, but this seemed to cause everyone I met to say, 'well they shouldn't have given you this appointment if you did one online...' as if "they" was not them and as if a paying customer should just turn around and walk out. The doctor was great. No problems there. The folks helping with the glasses were nice as well...until you get to the actual buying part of the program and suddenly your in a used car lot haggling for a deal. The WJRR mention this ad radio spot for $149 for two pairs of glasses suddenly turned into over $1200 and they made fun of me for thinking this was expensive. Then it turned into...'well...I gotta ask the manager if they will "allow" this discount..." which they did like FIVE times. It took three of them to keep me from running out the door slapping down coupon on top of coupon until finally they said, 'what do you want to pay for your glasses...' and knowing a decent pair of glasses should cost around $350, that's what I said....suddenly they are back over to the 'manager' again and they approve it! Well good. Except I still don't have 2 pairs for $149. WTH? I bought the glasses as they were decent for that, but I'll never go back again. Buyer BEWARE! Also: in this day and age of so many places to choose from - including Wal-Mart for affordable no hassle eye wear, WHY IN THE HELL would a store in this economy play these kinds of games? My last pair did come from Wal-Mart and were actually a better brand and better made and protected lenses. The doctor was equally good and the after care actually better...and here I thought I was stepping up to something 'classier' than Wal-Mart's vision center...literally a block away from them. read more

Went to the Orange City store ordered glasses they had to send them out to put the scratch protective on them picked them up and realized on the way home (about 50 miles) that my distance was blurry took them back a couple of days later and they checked them and said they were right they had me look at the chart again and that was good but it's looking at a distance that it's real blurry they don't want to hear that. I have been wearing them for about 2 weeks and they are no better I spent 800.00 for something that isn't right. read more
