This is by far the worst nail salon I've been to. I've given them multiple chances, even though I should've stopped after the first visit. Every time I come in, there's no greeting at the door, and the staff is consistently rude and unwelcoming. They often claim the wait time is very long--even when there are no other clients and employees are just sitting around. This has happened on several separate occasions, weeks apart, so it clearly isn't a one-time issue. There's no accountability, no apologies, and absolutely no sense of customer service. Sigh, Soooo annoyed. I made an appt few days prior. 10am appt. 1st. The owner or who ever he is was just parking close to 10:10... I walk in, no acknowledgement or Good Morning at all... I was penciled in with a Melissa, I believe her name was (2nd tablet on the right) 2nd. She grabs her cuticle cutter and runs it under water. No sterilization. She starts to cut my cuticles dry. No soaking, no pushing back of my cuticles, NOTHING! I sat for a total of maybe 15 minutes when she was ready to paint my nails. I asked are you really done with cutting my cuticles??? She answers Yes... To not make a scene I said I'll pay for the 15 mins you took of ur time. But I'll go elsewhere. This girl had the audacity to charge me 20$, fully aware of me saying the work is trash. I sai in front of the owner My cuticles are not even cut well. He TRULY didn't give a shit. Neither did she..... I'm not new to getting my nails done at all. I did a spin around the block trying this salon again after 3+ years of going elsewhere just because and it was a waste of my time and money. Extremely annoyed. *This salon is dirty. All work stations are dirty as shit. The nails polishes on the walls are dusty. Looks like no one wipes their stations down at all.... What a waste of my damn morning today. read more

I didn't like the way the nail technician filed my nails, she almost broke them, and she never told me to wash my hands. After she put cream and oil on my hands, she told me to wash them, which is illogical. Also, when she did my feet, she didn't cut my nails because they were ingrown. I had to tell her. Let's start off with the fact that the prices they display in the bulletin board on the front aren't true. Each nail tech will charge you differently which is something I was not aware of and they don't specifically advertise that. I made an appointment with Rudy and got there on time. He made me wait an extra 30 mins before he got to me and the place was packed. It was also quite dirty and they re-use files and don't clean between customers. Amazing, super friendly staff. Came in on a Tuesday morning at 10am as a walk-in for a gel polish mani and pedi. Signed in and was attend in less than 15 mins. Not sure on any other day it would be this fast. You can make appointments. My technician Mani was wonderful, took her time and was very nice. I've recently started going to this salon and I always end up in Gaby's chair. She does a phenomenal job every time and I tend to come with unique nails designs. She's always been able to recreate a nail look for me! I suggest coming during the week around noon so you're not waiting for hours because my first time coming was on a Saturday and I literally waited 5hrs(5-9pm) just for a refill so keep that in mind. I scrolled through the reviews to make sure this place was worth my time before calling to make an appointment for a Monday afternoon. I called ahead of time to ask if they could take me for a MANI/PEDI and possibly a full set. They said sure come right now. I arrive 30 min later and only THREE people are in there, yet the woman tells me she can only do my nails not my toes anymore because she "expected me to be there in 5 minutes and it's been 30 minutes." I've been a fan of the Optima Lite Nails brand since 2007. I left S. Florida in 2008 and 7 years later, nothing has changed. They are still serving up futuristic designs, quality work and great service. It's located in a nice and newer plaza right off of US-1 in Florida City. From the owners down to the staff everybody is pretty lively. It's also a place you can relax. While I'm not sure of how often it happens, there are times when they serve their customers a glass of wine to enjoy while receiving a service. While I am more than sure that everybody working at the establishment is more than qualified to "slay" most if not all of the services, here is what I know from my years of patronzing the business. 1. Rudy is great when it comes to nail designs. He takes his time... He's a perfectionist. 2. Rudy's sister (whose name escapes me at the moment) does an AMAZING job at sculpting/waxing eyebrows... This is coming from a woman who barely has eyebrows to shape in the first place, but when I tell you that she works wonders, it is the truth. 3. After reading the wonderful yelp reviews, my partner and I decided to come here for a pedicure. Once we walked in, service was pretty fast and we were seated in a chair fairly quickly. Both of us requested a Deluxe Pedicure. Which brings me to why I have only given them 2 stars. A deluxe Pedicure should last around 1 hour, ours lasted a mere 40 minutes. The massage we received on each of our legs and feet was 3 minutes. Just enough to rub in the lotion. I'm very disappointed! We could've just gotten a regular pedicure and paid less for what we received. read more

I liked coming here on my lunch break because I work fairly close. It's always been four stars, but today I had a really unpleasant experience. First of all, when I called the person that answered mentioned there was absolutely no availability, not even for walk-ins, but to come in anyway. I asked, "Okay, so around 12:00 PM should be fine?" She then tells me there is an opening for right after 12:00 PM. I didn't understand how they went from booked to come in, but I was happy and stated I'd be in at 12:05. She then said my appointment was booked and started to end the call. I should have known when I had to ask her to take my information though. How can I be booked for an appointment if she didn't ask me my name. I got there at 12:07 PM and stated I had an appointment. The receptionist said that the person my appointment was with was not there. I told her I had an appointment, and she said the nail tech left for the day. Needless to say, I could not get a manicure and won't be going back here. The receptionist had no record of me, so must have not even booked my appointment or let the nail tech know. I was informed the next person could see me in 25 minutes, so I did not have enough time to go somewhere else and get a manicure as planned. read more

Love this place and it's staff, but there's always a wait. Make an appointment. I feel like they take a while longer to get the job done compared to any other salon,but they always do an amazing job. Just be prepared to spend at least three hours in there plus whatever the wait is. Destiny is the only person on the planet I'll ever let touch my eyebrows again! Girlfriend knows what she's doing! DONT NOT RECOMMENDED FOR PEDICURES! I've gotten my pedicure done there a while back and I wasn't pleased tbh. My friend recently went on Tuesday for a pedicure and the next day woke up with fungus!!!! Her feet are really bad she had to go to the doctors! She could barely walk she had to miss work. Not sure what it is, that specific person that did her pedicure did not sanitize the materials or something but it's really bad! I have to be honest there is a guy there that does amazing work on acrylics that I've been wanting to go and get my nails done with him but now that this happened its not worth risking even doing my nails there at all.
