Thank you for the diagnosis of acid reflux. No, I will not take Pepcid Rx for 2 months since it only makes it worse and I will not do Barium xray. My body is not a trial and error playground. When questioning my stand on not wanting to take this drug, your exact answer was: " you may get cancer later. If you don't want to take our suggestion, then you can go somewhere else. This is how we do things here." I'm sorry doc but your cocky domineering attitude won't make a patient feel safe. It repulses it. And fear mongering with cancer only works on unsuspecting victims who truly feel helpless alone. When I asked a deeper Q about not enough acid instead of common belief of too much (that is why Pepcid makes it worse by lowering it even further), you changed your story to, out of balance acid. For anyone interested, White Pine Needle tea works great to balance digestion and get rid of phlegm! Also no more coffee and dairy for me for a while. Already feeling better!!!

I would constantly be sneezing out globs of yellow or green phlegm which was always embarrassing at work! Finally my PCP suggested I see an ENT. I had to wait a month to see Dr. Balaker which was a bit of a bummer but thankfully she was worth the wait! She saw me immediately at my appointed time and she had a caring demeanor. She did an in-office nasal endoscopy which wasn't painful or uncomfortable at all and immediately diagnosed me with chronic severe sinusitis (sinus infection that hadn't been treated or resolved for months). She's very knowledgeable and professional! She prescribed two weeks of doxycycline antibiotics to ensure it cleared out the stubborn infection and said to follow up if my symptoms don't clear up. I didn't realize how much pressure was in my face until I took the first day of antibiotics-I felt immediately better! It cleared up by week 2 and never had to go back. Overall, it was a solid, smooth experience. Thank you Dr. Balaker!

At my follow-up appointment on 10/24/25, I expressed that my symptoms had not improved. Dr. Balaker performed a brief nasal scope exam that lasted less than a minute and stated that everything "looked fine." When I asked for a CT scan to further evaluate why my symptoms persist, I was told it was not necessary. I left feeling dismissed and unheard. Throughout my visits, I felt rushed and uncomfortable asking questions. During my last appointment, her bedside manner was particularly concerning -- she was not personable, appeared impatient, and at times rolled her eyes when I asked questions. As a patient who underwent surgery, I expected thoughtful follow-up and a willingness to investigate ongoing symptoms. After surgery, no one from the office contacted me to check on my recovery or schedule follow-up care. I had to call the office myself to arrange a post-operative appointment. Additionally, prior cultures had shown heavy growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and I did not feel there was adequate follow-through regarding this finding. Finally, at my follow-up visit I was told there would be no copay. Four months later, I received a bill, which was surprising and frustrating. Surgery is a serious decision. Patients deserve careful follow-up, transparency, and to feel heard when they report persistent symptoms. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I will not be returning to this provider.

This was my 1st surgery ever along with being put under general anesthesia. Dr. Zuniga is absolutely amazing. He is very kind, approachable, transparent, and communicates clearly every step of the way. I immediately felt an overwhelming sense of peace, care, and calm with his presence for my procedure. My story began with discomfort and hearing loss in my right ear. At first, I went to a doctor who diagnosed me with a middle ear infection and prescribed antibiotics. However, the treatment brought no relief. My condition only worsened -- I continued to experience pressure, discharge, and pain. Later, it turned out that the diagnosis had been incorrect. The real cause was a fungal infection, and in such cases antibiotics not only fail to help, but can actually make the problem worse. Because of this mistake, the disease progressed: the fluid that had built up behind my eardrum eventually developed into a cholesteatoma -- a serious and dangerous condition that can destroy the ear's delicate bone structures and threaten one's health. Almost a month later, when the situation had already become very advanced, I finally came to see Dr. Zuniga. From that moment, everything changed: I met not only a brilliant surgeon, but also a remarkable human being. From the day of the correct diagnosis until the operation, there were many worries and difficult moments, but at every stage Dr. Zuniga showed incredible patience, compassion, and support. I always felt safe and knew I was in the very best hands. The surgery, which I underwent more than six months ago, was a success. Today, I feel wonderful. It was a truly complex procedure, but the result has been nothing short of a gift. Words cannot fully express the depth of my gratitude: it is relief, joy, and the overwhelming feeling of having been given back a full and normal life. In addition to his outstanding professional skills, Dr. Zuniga possesses rare human qualities -- kindness, attentiveness, and genuine care. People like him, who practice medicine at the highest level while also giving so much of their heart, are a true blessing. Meeting Dr. Zuniga has been one of the greatest blessings of my life. On behalf of my whole family, I want to say: we thank God for sending us such a doctor, and we will be forever grateful to Dr. Zuniga for everything he has done. May God bless him and all the physicians who serve their patients with the same devotion and love for their calling.

I was not greeted at all. Instead of a simple hello or acknowledgment at check in, a staff member pointed at a wall with a tablet without a smile or courtesy. I then spent approximately 45 minutes in the waiting room, observing both the front and back office as they avoided eye contact and acted visibly annoyed when asked questions. I have nothing negative to say about the doctors themselves; however, the behavior of the office staff reflects poorly on the practice as a whole. I strongly encourage management to provide additional customer service training, as the staff is unfortunately creating a very negative impression for the patients.
