I would call if I was late knowing that they might reschedule me or charge me my co-pay, but it is the right thing to do! I love my ENT doctor but this level of disrespect is unacceptable. The receptionist was very busy, but she could have let me know they were running behind. Got to an exam room about 42 minutes after my appointment time and waited another 15 minutes to see the doctor. I waited and 65minutes to see the doctor and I only spent five minutes with him. My rant is to let you know that if you have an appointment here, block our two hours of your day. They will not tell you they are running behind. The doctors are great, but the lack of respect for their patients is dissap

She has been under the care of an ENT at home for 2 years, she is very sick right now and needs help. The receptionist rudely informed me their new patients will not be seen until June. Are u kidding me? You cannot see a local college athlete within a week for a sinus infection??! She also said she would need a referral...okay fine never heard of that we have a PPO. Thanks for NOT caring and. NOT taking care of college athletes in your area!

OPTUM SUCKS. Optum…read morehas turned the Redlands clinic into a non caring, money hungry mess. Beaver was like family where they really cared about the patients. Optum cares about ONE thing, MONEY. Beaver doctors have fled from this horrible company, leaving the few original doctors facing double patient loads, triple paperwork with no time to complete it and RULES, RULES, RULES that take away from the care that we used to receive. Optum is a disgrace and needs to be under review for their corrupt business practices. My review is for all departments, especially internal medicine.

I received negligent post-op care and poor communication which worsened my recovery. I wasn't given any guidance about common side effects that may occur post-surgery or how to remedy them and when I reached out for help via the patient portal, I received little to no response. I experienced constant vomiting, constipation, and throat pain for multiple days. During my first follow-up appt, Dr. Umeda dismissed the symptoms I reported which then developed into oral thrush the very next day, likely caused by the antibiotics he prescribed. I had to seek emergency assistance from urgent care and when I reported this to Dr. Umeda, he showed little accountability, argued with me, and made unprofessional comments, like questioning the validity of my diagnosis and saying, "can we be friends again?" There were unnecessary delays in prescription orders and overall poor follow-up which only worsened my recovery and resulted in me having to take additional unpaid days off of work. I cannot recommend Dr. Umeda (or this clinic) due to the lack of professionalism, patient care/education, and basic communication. I strongly encourage finding another ENT.

From beginning to end, Dr. Lee demonstrates confidence, professionalism and expertise beyond his years. My father was diagnosed of stage IV throat cancer at City of Hope in June 2014. Due to insurance…read moreissue, he had to be transferred to his local doctors for intense radiation therapy and chemotherapy after their tumor board decided on his treatment plan. His health deteriorated but he was able to pull through it all and recovered. A year into his recovery, he tragically started smoking again. His throat cancer then returned and the tumor was growing much more rapidly this time around. His previous doctor referred us to an ENT physician at Riverside Community Hospital. My father and I met with this resident surgeon who conducted himself in the utmost incompetent and uncertain way and advised us that he and and other three resident surgeons would do laryngectomy on my father. My father couldn't even be convinced that the surgery would make him recover again. During this time, my father's shortness of breath worsened everyday to the point he felt suffocated. He was on so many medications and had to carry oxygen tanks with him all the time. It was emotionally painful and unbearable to be around and see him suffer. His conditions worsened and he started to be in and out of emergency room. Eventually ER doctor had to perform tracheostomy and my father stayed in ICU for a week. He was then sent to a rehab center for recovery. Upon his discharge, we managed to find a new ENT doctor, Dr. Carvalho in Hemet. Dr. Carvalho finally referred us to Dr. Steve Lee at Loma Linda University Medical Center for laryngectomy. I wrote all the above because I want people to know that my family has seen a lot of doctors ranging from top notch City of Hope dctors to resident surgeons in community hospital. If you manage to find Dr. Lee at the very beginning in your journey, you should know how truly blessed you are, and you should look no further. It took us a long and painful journey to get to him. In January of 2017, Dr. Lee and his team performed laryngectomy and throat reconstruction for my father. The surgery was a success and my father has since then been cancer free and he is able to speak with his voice prothesis. Everyone in the family including myself thought we were about to lose my dad sometime before his laryngectomy, but he has recovered and started a new life. All of this is because of the beyond exceptional care he has received from Dr. Lee and his team. Dr. Lee is warm and genuinely caring. He's calm, reassuring and pleasant to be around. His humble and down-to-earth character almost makes you feel like he is just a neighbor next door and not a God-like surgeon. After many years being under Dr. Lee's care, it made us realize Dr. Lee is truly one of a kind. He is a top rated surgeon who is driven by his calling and passion as a doctor and he is wholly committed on academic research and striving to provide the best patient care with his team.
