My friend and I opted to go to Daisy Nails and Spa for our manicures (removal and shellac manicure for me, a shellac mani and pedi for my friend) on a Friday afternoon. I called about 3 weeks prior to the appointment as I wanted to make sure we got our manis together or around the same time. The staff were prompt to take my name and number down during the phone call. Day of our appointment, although we arrived on time we still had to wait about 10-15 min for our nail technicians. I probably waited a bit longer. The place was a little over half full and all the nail technicians were busy with other customers. My shellac removal and manicure took almost 1.5 hours long (usually would take me about an hour at another salon, however, I did have to wait a bit in the beginning). My nail technician was attentive and friendly. I had 2 split nails which she was aware of and took care to cover them up. She also listened to how I wanted to shape my nails and made sure I was okay with the length. Manicure wise, she did a great job! My friend was also happy with her mani and pedi services. If you pay cash you don't need to pay tax. They do however, accept credit and debit as well. Overall, good salon around the neighbourhood. It is a popular place so it does get quite busy, best to book an appointment ahead of time, especially on the weekends!

I have been struggling to find the right RMT who can truly do a deep tissue to the exact pressure I need and Wendy has been the only one that have delivered. Better than my 4 season experience too dare I say. She has excellent control when it comes to consistent pressure or gauging the areas where she needs to concentrate, ease up or work more on. She did warn me that due to the deep pressure I may be sore the next day but you know what? I was not. I was limber, flexible and felt like a million bucks. While this level of deep tissue may not be for everyone, Wendy is the only RMT I have worked with so far that can adjust the pressure and constantly asks for feedback. Conversation was great. If you want to relax you can do that as well and doze off without needing to carry on much of the chit chat. I was extremely surprised to find this level of satisfaction with a random place I completely found by fluke. Really went above and beyond for my customer experience. Apart of that the clinic is clean and they provide slippers for you to change into which I like as a added spa feel. They also do lash extension, facials and laser hair removal (none of which I have tried). Up next, I want to try the Thai Massage which Wendy recommended. I like that she did not up-sell like other clinics but genuinely just recommended her colleague to me based on my complaints and symptoms. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER…read more I went to my first appointment booked for 5:30pm. Since it was the first one, I thought that probably I would have to fill in some forms and I decided to arrive earlier at 5:15pm. When I arrived, the office was closed with a post-it on the door mentioning "I will come back at 5:45pm". I thought it was weird if my appointment was at 5:30pm but I decided to wait. The office is at the second floor on a building with no AC at the hallways and I did have a face mask so it was very annoying due to the hot. Then, at 5:40pm another client came and told me she did have an appointment at 5:45pm. So, when I explained to her than I had been waiting for a while she called the owner and she told her we were both there. This customer told me that she preferred calling her because the first time she went there the same thing happened to her and the owner had completely forgotten about her appointment as well. When the owner came back, she didn't even bother to apologize and she just asked the other lady to go inside instead of me who at that point had been waiting for more than 30 minutes! When I asked her about my appointment, she just told me what I was explaining was "impossible" because she did book my appointment for 6pm and that she went out at 5:30pm (seriously?! When she had done the same to the same other client on her first appointment as well? And when I had been there since 5:15pm?). In few words, after all the wait she just implied I was lying about the time of my appointment, as well as all the time I had been waiting there and she didn't even apologize. Just told me that because I did have to fill in some forms (almost at 6pm), the other customer was going first. I was VERY frustrated so I decided to find another place to go. Just a very AWFUL way to treat a customer on the first appointment!!

Just a note, they are a little bit rougher when they do the facial than some other places I have been to. The facial massage is more firm and same with the arms, etc. The lady who does the facials is strong! I wonder if she also does the massages as they have a RMT service on their website. I will have to ask & try the massage sometime. On Sunday I had a basic pedicure & since I paid cash the price was very reasonable. It's so relaxing to have a pedicure. Lina, who did my pedicure was very good & fast. I even turned on the massage chair though it wasn't that comfortable for me. I think the massage chair isn't made for a petite person like me. LOL. In any case, some of their prices went up a little. Don't be surprised, inflation is making prices go up everywhere & covid supply problems also haven't helped. It is what it is. I still think the prices are reasonable.
