The swimming area is clean and lifeguards are on duty. There's adequate snack items availavle,available, various watercraft for rent to cruise around the pond. The scenery is postcard level, and the parking and picnic facilities are outstanding. If you want to make it a more fulfilling day for the kids, Cole Park is only a hop & a skip away from world famous Animal Adventure Park. A wonderful day is in store for you with a swim, picnic, and a visit with an amazing menagerie of exotic animals. I highly recommend Cole Park for the entire family. Have big fun!

There is swimming for about 40 feet in, and then there are boat and kayak rentals for the rest of the lake. Let me tell you something - Kayaks aRe fun! You can go so fast in them. I towed both my friends with my kayak last time, they are wimps! Boats are pretty boring to me, I could never get the oars right. Oh, as of last year, kayak and boat rentals are free. wait... FREE! Even 1 dollar is a deterrant based on principle. Here it is so easy. So THIS is where my tax dollars are going... 5 stars for free kayaks. Love kayaks.

(As an owner of rental properties - I notice details: coffee filters, charging cords, night lights, etc. - on top of the important amenities - all were there and in fine order! Matt and his team are amazing. Food was delicious and plentiful - many offerings to cover all dietary wants/needs. Staff are all friendly, accommodating, and personable - restaurant, housekeeping, and fly shop. Robbie was my guide for float trip. He is awesome "fish finder" - very patient and lots of laughs. OH YES - AND WE CAUGHT FISH! Rainbows and browns... We'd have caught more; had I not tangled my line. I shall return and recommend, wholeheartedly!

The entire lake encompasses 52 miles of shoreline, 5,700 acres, and is 13 miles long. If you're interested in a boat tour, they have them available and we saw many on the lake. The trail will take you through various types of terrain, but they're all enjoyable and full of sites to see. As you're making your way through the tree filled section of the trail, don't forget to look for the geocaches that are hidden throughout. It is fun to hunt and each geocache contains cool items.

We had site 98, but 98/99/100 I think are the best. 100 is a top notch site (that's private and right next to the playground (geared towards young kids around 3-7) Roadways are paved and perfect for biking. Beach was clean and accessible. Kids loved the big playground down by the beach. Bathrooms were clean and right across from our sites. Power is available at the bathrooms for airing things up or charging. Park rangers were visible and went around often. Felt very safe and nothing was rowdy even on the weekends. Camp store at the entrance of the park had essentials and even a few gift shop items. Staff was friendly and accommodating. We would definitely be back.
