After reviewing what my dentist had tried, and my mention that the dentist stated oral surgeons have access to better anesthetics, Dr. Winston gave me 3 shots, which almost immediately took me completely out of pain, and after giving the shots time to numb everything, he took what felt like a minute or two, at most, to remove the troublesome tooth. I called him a miracle worker! The office also called me an hour or so after I got home to check on me, which was appreciated. She was very rough and matter of fact and when you are awake during oral surgery this kind of attitude is not helpful to the patient. So many times when waiting at Dr. offices the receptionist never even acknowledges that you are waiting but here they are really great. Its the little things like that that make an experience memorable. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is because the 1st oral surgeon I went to here was not very nice. For example, when I asked her "is it going to hurt?" She responds "well. It wont feel good!". Sorry but that is not helpful at all. I also explained that I did not have a current dentist. The receptionist said no problem and gave me an appointment. Day of my appointment, I arrived 15 mins early ( had a 2 pm appt ) - they did not see me till about 230pm - When they called me in, the lady asks me to step into this room for x-rays. She did not present herself of who she was and I ask what the cost for this was. She rolled her eyes and ask the billing dept what the cost was. I agreed with the cost and she took the x-rays. She didn't say a word as she place my x-rays in the slot of the room. The Dentist came into the room and explained that she could not give a consultation - that I would need to go to a dentist first and the dentist will give them the overview of my teeth. Was very confused since when I made my appointment, I stated I did not have a current dentist and now being told I would need to go to a dentist first. After $300.00, I received nothing but a run around from them. I don't know why they didn't state this first and now out of pocket of $300.00!

He gave her novacaine injections to numb the area but did not numb the area before the shots. She was the last patient of the day and my daughter felt like he was rushing. As he proceeded to take out her teeth, he accidently took off part of another tooth that was in between. The instrument then hit the back of her throat causing a red sore. That night my daughter was in horrible pain and lots of bleeding from the tooth that he injured. She called me the next morning and told me what happened. I proceeded to call the office manager, who of course, made up excuses for him. This dentist saw me talking to my daughter and then paying. He did not say a word to me about what happened.
