I'm so disappointed with the service I've received the past few weeks. Years ago, all 4 of my kids had their wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Ads at Oramax and everything was good for the most part. When I was told I had to go to an oral surgeon for issues with my 19 year old implant, I figured I'd go to Oramax being that my past experience was good. My appointment was 10/2/25 with Dr. Ads. I had an xray done and the Dr said I needed to have the implant replaced but being that he could tell how shocked and stressed I was about the situation, he recommended meeting with another Dr about possible laser treatment for the issue first. As I was leaving, I asked him if I could still get a quote/estimate for replacing the implant. On Monday 10/6, I called the office to ask if I could have the panoramic x-ray sent to me. Being that this is a big procedure, I just wanted to get a second opinion. I was told that I didn't have a panoramic x-ray, that it was a CT scan. I told her whatever it was that I had last Friday, can I get a copy of that. She said it would have to be put on a disc and picked up after 24 hours. I also told her I was waiting for an estimate and she said I should have that within a few days. On Thursday 10/9 I called to see if the disc was ready for pick up. The women didn't know what I was talking about. She looked at my file and said I had a panoramic x-ray and said it could just be emailed over (OMG, that's what I said the first time and I was told I was wrong). She did email that over. I then told her I was still waiting for an estimate since last week. She connected me to someone in the billing department. The women told me I would need an implant removal, bone graphing and implant replacement. She assured me that she would get me an estimate Friday (the following day, 10/10) morning. On Wednesday 10/15, being that I still had not heard from anyone, I called to leave a message for the dr. The receptionist asked what I was leaving a message regarding and I said I had questions about the implant. She wanted to know what the exact questions were. I told her I wanted to know the urgency to do the procedure and listed off a few more questions. She said fine and that she'd have the Dr call me. It is now Monday 10/20/25 and I have no received a quote OR a call from the Dr!! Very disappointing!!!!! I have read negative comments about the office staff many times but figured since the Dr is the one that does the work and he's always highly recommended, I'd continue to struggle through the difficulty with the staff. There's always a chance they didn't relay the message to him but at this point I'm pretty much done. I'd rather not spend thousands of dollars at a place where I feel disrespected. read more

The care by the medical staff for my husband's tooth extraction was excellent. However, their billing practices are shady. Our dental insurance paid a paltry $258 toward the extraction, which we had to pay upfront with Care Credit. Six weeks later, no notification from the practice that they received the payment. I went to the office, and they indicated they would only refund $180 because we didn't owe as much as they originally estimated. This is not right. They profited about $78 off the insurance payment, claiming that they didn't need to pay the extra amount because our portion of the balance was lower than expected. I am filing a complaint with various Illinois departments. Yes, it's not a lot of money, but the practice is wrong. read more

There was an issue where we had to wait longer to check in because the office manager pulled other receptionists away for a chore. I spoke with Dr Ads and he is aware of the situation, apologized, and indicated it will not happen again. Regarding the photo below Dr Ads indicated that he will change the verbiage of the sign so it doesn't convey an idle threat to people who are waiting for patients. Visited Aug 2 and got a preauth call back Sept 19. They said they received it Sept 19. Called insurance and they said it was submitted Aug 31 and sent Sept 4. They'll waste your time and lie to you. Bonus: They offer digital forms to pre-fill. When I got to the office they handed me the same forms. When asked about the pre-filled digital forms they said those weren't right. If I could give them 0 stars I would. My daughter visited this location regarding for a consultation on her wisdom teeth. Before this visit my husband spoken with personnel and asked great questions regarding charges and preparation for a daughter's consultation. Not one time during scheduling did personnel advise my husband that we will be charge $162 the day of consultation due to a billing code they use. After our daughter's consultation she was told she had to pay $162 for a copay. (?). I called for an explanation and the office personnel stated that she told my husband during scheduling and that he was fine with it. I know my husband and if he heard that amount for a copay, this appointment would've not happened. To falsify what was said and use a billing code knowing insurance would reject is unethical. And to tell me $925 needs to be paid prior to the procedure but then also say it's submitted to insurance. It really is unsettling how this company handles billing. I remember years ago their office would be full to now 2-3 people in the waiting area. It's a beautiful aesthetic place but the service and billing is a bit shady. read more

I had a pre-assessment appointment just before last Thanksgiving and my dental surgery this morning. Dr. Ads and his staff were always nice, knowledgeable and professional; especially Diana, who took care of my administrative/financial needs and Lissette, who prepped me and assisted Dr. Ads during my surgery. I went in for a "free consultation", but was told that I would have to pay the $200+ copay up front. I was confused, so I asked "if they could bill me for it"? The woman said "no". I asked why they didn't tell me this ahead of time (like when I made the appointment) and her response was "because you didn't call us back to confirm your appointment". However, they left a voicemail message nonetheless, but no mention of a copay upfront policy. The woman was very rude, I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone, under any circumstances ever. What has led me to leave this review; was that the Dr who performed surgery on my daughter, called in the evening to check up on her recovery. Impressive. Most Drs do their job & that is the last you hear of them. The fact that he took time out of his day to make sure her recovery was going smooth & if we had any questions to reach out, was reassuring. We met Dr Ali Q, a month before her procedure. Since she is away at school we needed an office who can accommodate our schedule & answer all questions and concerns. This office and Dr Q did that from day 1. Day of surgery, it all went quickly. It was very organized, & I would say it went faster than I expected. Our daughter's recovery has been great so far. We are about 8 hrs in and the bleeding has almost stopped, no swelling, and things seem to be headed in the right direction. They sent us home with a care kit/bag, w/some starter foods, snacks, post surgery stuff, Prescriptions & instructions. We have a few weeks before she heads back to school, the timing was great! I would recommend this office to anyone concerned about oral surgery, or has a child in college & needs scheduling accommodation or just any parent concerned about anesthesia and has questions and doesn't want to brushed off, this is a good place. If I could give 0 stars I would. I came in for my wisdom tooth extraction Aug 2024 and Dr. Q came in and asks if I am ready to have all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed. I only have 3 wisdom teeth. Then after the surgery, I woke up and was practically shoved out the door. I was told I would receive a call that night checking up on how I was doing, I did not receive that call until afternoon the next day. Post-extraction about 1 1/2 months later I start experiencing horrible mouth/jawline pain. I called and talk to someone on the clinical team to ask their opinion if this is related and the clinical staff made no attempt to understand the type of pain I was in, where the pain is located, etc. and was extremely dismissed and told me to go to the dentist and then if the dentist thinks I need to see an oral surgeon then I can come back. I saw a dentist and they told me my mouth was extremely infected from my wisdom teeth extraction. I called Wednesday at 4pm and left a voicemail with the OraMax staff asking for my information to be transferred to a new oral surgery place and no response 3 business days later. I called again and asked for my information to be sent over and the staff was rude and did not even care that I was asking for my information to be sent to a new oral surgery location. I will not be coming back, and I recommend you spend your hard-earned money elsewhere at a location that cares. read more

I put off getting my wisdom teeth extracted until my 30's.. given that I believe most get theirs extracted in their late teens or 20's, I was a bit apprehensive to say the least. I was actually referred to Dr. Ads and his team by my dentist, Dr. Waheed. I cannot thank the both of them for this 'opportunity'. No one looks forward to going to the dentist or even an oral surgeon to say the least, but let me remind you that perception is key. Starting from the initial consultation all the way until after the procedure, Dr. Ads and his staff surpassed even my expectations which is saying quite a whole lot. I have had a nervous tick about surgery since I was little and while Dr. Ads reassured me all would be fine, I was still hard to convince, but when the big day came, I felt zero pain from the surgery itself. I am still in recovery as this occurred a little over 2.5 weeks ago. I will like to note that Dr. Ads does indeed provide his contact information to reach him directly even after-hours should anything arise, which is exactly what did happen - I developed the dreaded dry socket, not by any of my doing, but the clot just never formed unfortunately in one of my four extraction sites. The pain was beyond excruciating, Dr. Ads offered to take me in immediately the following day and gave me the special packing that alleviated the pain within 10-15 minutes and had me come back a few days later to remove it; this was a week ago. Since then, recovery has been fine, just maintaining oral irrigation on the sites to make sure no food/debris get lodged. Each time when I did go in to Dr. Ads at OralMax (I went 5 times; first was for the initial consultation, second was the surgery, third was a drop-in due to some pain, fourth time was coming in due to discovering dry socket and application of oral-pack to alleviate pain, fifth time was removal of the oral-pack and post-op followup and release) he and his staff are the absolute benchmark of patient care. I cannot say I ever look forward to having any more oral surgery, however if I ever needed it, I would come back here again without hesitation or worry. Dr. Hussein Ads is the best in the business, I had 3 out of 4 impacted wisdom teeth with the bottom 2 sitting on the nerve in my jawbone. There was high risk me losing feeling throughout part my face for possible short to long term numbness due to that nerve interfering with the bottom 2 wisdoms extraction. Not even one week after I have 98% feeling back and am heeling great. I would recommend anyone with deep impacted wisdoms not to go go anywhere else. I was referred here by my dentist for 3 implants. I arrived a few minutes early with my paperwork filled out and sat down in the waiting room. I was not called back until 45 min after my appointment time, which was made even more frustrating by the fact that I had watched several other patients who came in after me had been called back already. The nurse then told me that the doctor would not be able to help me unless I paid for a special X-ray not covered by insurance. $250. I was not told about this when setting up the appointment nor was it mentioned in any of the paperwork. I said okay and got the X-ray. Then the doctor came in. I have full top dentures and instead of focusing on the three implants I needed, he told me how I needed to get implants instead of top dentures and that he had payment plans available. To top it off, he said "don't you look in the mirror and feel bad about yourself?" Actually no I don't but thanks for the vote of confidence. Rude office staff. Rude dentist. Getting your wisdom teeth removed isn't fun. Especially if you waited until age 35 like me where they are impacted and all four need to be removed by an oral surgeon with hands that were blessed by God. Luckily, there is Oramax in Schaumburg. Dr. Ads has a good reputation and was actually referred to me by my dentist who just happens to be next door (Dr. Nicholson) and another oral surgeon. Oramax's facility is brand spanking new with advanced equipment such as CT scan on sight. This is very helpful especially when your procedure is more complex like mine. My wisdom teeth were close to the nerves so there was a higher probability of complications such as nerve damage, sinus infection, and a longer recover time. Talk about being fast and efficient, I had all four of my teeth removed in 30 minutes. By the next day, I was no longer in pain, the swelling was gone by day three, and I was back to eating normal food in a week. My coworkers couldn't even tell that I had the surgery. At the end of my procedure, I even got a care package with soft foods to eat. I don't believe in luck - I believe in skill and divine intervention. I went to OraMax to get my wisdom teeth taken out. My bottom teeth were extremely impacted while the top two came out. But the left tooth was severely damaged and it hurt me a lot. I went to Dr. Nickel and he had a plan prepared with my X-ray on display. Right before my procedure, the nurse ran through some more information and gave my ride a care package. Good doctor and caring nurses, but real sloppy billing office. We paid up-front for 45 minutes of anesthesia, 15 minutes of anesthesia was never given during surgery. Billing office/doctor never brought that to our attention, that we over paid for 15 minutes of anesthesia ($250.00). We had to bring it to their attention. They don't have a clue about billing and how to code procedures for insurance. I made many calls to our insurance because of the billing offices lack of knowledge and unwillingness to help. I had been so nervous to get my wisdom teeth out that I postponed it for years. I was referred to Dr. Ads at Ora Max through a friend who said he did an awesome job. I can't believe how pain-free, pleasant, non stressful and easy of an experience this has been for me . Everything about this office is great! The people at the front are friendly and helpful, and go over insurance information for you. The nurses are all friendly and comforting, and give you all the information you need for our procedure (mine was wisdom tooth removal) The doctor is great as well, I had no swelling, severe pain, or nerve damage (I know this isn't only based on the Doctor, but definitely important). I love my experience from beginning to end. I went in initially due to infect wisdom tooth. I was refer by my dentist. I discover on the first visit three of my wisdom teeth were impacted. I knew about one being impacted. I had one pulled awhile ago. When I say everyone was nice and Dr.Ads explained everything and made me comfortable. I had to get a cat scan on my second visit and it was quick and easy. My third visit was surgery. I was nervous but everything went great. The staff was great. I was given a blanket because I was cold. They asked if I had questions and went ooh we everything so I was comfortable. The procedure went great. I just add that all teeth were not only impacted but one was on the nerve (hence the cat scan), one through the nerve and one in my sinus is cavity. After the procedure it took about 2-3 day's for swelling to go down and about a week to eat Normal food again. I will definitely be recommending my family and friend here! read more
