The people here are genuinely friendly -- whether in community gatherings, support groups, or classes. There are also designated volunteers ready to pray with you. Several months ago I suffered a severe sciatica attack and could barely put weight on my right leg. One woman noticed my pain as I slowly made my way into church and prayed for me, and others did the same on different occasions. Today I am in great shape, and I'm grateful for the care and prayer I received.

The young lady who facilities them is incredible and speaks in such an authentic and welcoming way. But there are group leaders in there who are saying things they should not be saying. The woman said that everybody has to turn to Jesus and be saved or they will not make it to heaven. Even people of different religions. I'm so tired of Christians shaming other people of different beliefs and religions. And unfortunately some pastors speak in languages that make Christianity feel like a cult. When you are mature and are a truth seeker, you will see the religious cognitive dissonance and unfortunately this church has leaders with them. Always use your discernment, listen to God and not the mouth of men who manipulates God's word & the church to make themselves look holy. Fortunately there are a few leaders & pastors here who speak with light and doesn't manipulate the bible or God's word to shame people. The ones that see past the facade of the old religious speech. They speak to encourage and uplift. These are your true leaders. Always trust your gut and find those who you resonate with when you decide to attend this church. And no need to write a respond about me writing to guest services. Train your group leaders. Change the dialogue. Teach people to be Christ like, to be unconditional loving, how to stand up to truth and actually take action instead of being passive, judgmental, shameful, or hateful of others for not being Christian enough. I was deeply invested and invited many family and friends to join. Sadly, my experience eventually became one of hurt and disillusionment. ​In 2020, during the Rooted program, a confrontation occurred where I reacted in anger to disturbing language from another attendee. I am transparent about my mistake; I used profanity and I own that. However, leadership focused solely on my reaction while ignoring the context of my life: I was currently navigating a divorce, the death of my brother, a job loss, and a traumatic physical attack that left my hand severely injured. Not one person from the church visited me during my hospitalization. Under the leadership of Connie Surratt and Autumn Igo, my serving privileges were removed, then quietly restricted even after being "reinstated." I felt intentionally hidden and denied any real pastoral care despite my attempts to engage. ​Two Easters ago, I was accused by security of yelling at someone at the altar. This was entirely false I was actually greeting longtime friends from my Bible study. This culminated in a scene where a leader (Gwen) physically grabbed my arms and verbally assaulted me in the parking lot, witnessed by other volunteers (Dean and Janet). Despite it being proven that the accusations against me were false, no apology was ever offered. I remained "on penance," feeling like a child walking on eggshells with angry parents. The breaking point was the treatment of the vulnerable. On a day we were taught about helping the community, I saw a pregnant woman with children being surrounded by security and recorded by staff. When I asked to help and feed her, I was told she was being removed at the instruction of Autumn. I later found the woman around the corner in tears; she asked if she could pray for me. It was heartbreaking. This, alongside a later incident where a man from the church harassed me at a post office for "trying to buy my way into heaven" by helping another woman with diapers, showed a distorted view of mercy within the culture. ​Three weeks ago, I was approached by Autumn and Daryl after a service. Despite my request for witnesses, Autumn made serious, false accusations of verbal and physical abuse against me in front of my friends. I was told to leave and never return under threat of police involvement. This felt like a coordinated attempt to discredit me and separate me from the community I love. ​Since leaving, I've met many others with strikingly similar stories. If my full story had been heard openly rather than discussed behind closed doors, I believe I would have been met with understanding. Instead, I felt watched rather than shepherded, and defined by assumptions instead of relationship. ​I am not perfect, but what I experienced was not restoration it was control and image management. I am grateful for the hundreds of kind individuals in the congregation who reflect Christ; they are the reason I stayed so long. I pray for accountability at Seacoast Grace. Revelation reveals the heart of a church, and I speak this truth with love for those who have been pushed away like me.

Stellar church with a wonderful serving team that reminds me of how great God is!…read more Location-Los Alamitos, a lovely little city that reminds me of a place called Fremont in the Bay area. Several neat neighborhoods, mom and pop shops, as well as schools, and the LosAl race track! They meet at Los Alamitos High school using the theatre for worship service and some Classrooms for their kids ministries. People: The people here are so friendly and inviting. They make you feel like family and the volunteers are so dedicated to making Sunday set up go Smoothly. Parking: The school parking lot is all open for Sundays and it is never hard to find parking. The lot is close to the theatre so you just walk less than 50m to get to the service. Hospitality: Right before you walk in for service there is a grand set up of free coffee, tea, donuts, cookies, fruit, and pastries! As well as a greet team right after the parking lot to welcome you. (Pictured the coffee table set up and behind it the theatre where the worship service takes place). Service: The service starts with worship, a welcome announcement, then a wonderful Biblically centered message, communion, and ending worship. Overall- Highly recommend checking this church out and considering it as a home church if you are looking to grow spiritually, and become a part of a thriving Christian family!

Hi there. About 7…read moreyears ago I moved to the area and it was overwhelming to find a church-- not because of a lack of options, but you can't get a feel for the place from a website. Here's some info I wish I knew about a church before I went to visit... What do we believe? We love Jesus. And people. Stonebridge is a non denominational evangelical church. Actually, this is an area where the website can explain better than I can-- here's the statement of faith and core value outline: http://www.stonebridgecc.org/about-us/what-we-believe What are Sundays like? We meet in an industrial area within the Gibo Kodama Chairs building. There a few signs leading up to the church, parking is plenty and it's easy to find. There's coffee/tea/water before service that you can bring in with you. Service starts at 10:30AM, begins with worship music, announcements, and praying for people. There is a quick "greet your neighbor" time, but they don't ask new people to stand or anything that puts a spotlight on you. The message is typically given by one of our 2 staff pastors, they have pretty different styles. We have a pastor who is in his 20s and single, and another who is... well, I don't know how old (I'm not going to ask!), but all his kids are out of college. They both overflow with the love of Jesus and bring great perspectives to the Bible. How long will I be there? Service ends before noon, but stay for refreshments! It's a light lunch and we love getting to know people during this time. Lots of people will greet you and you definitely won't sit alone. This fellowship time wraps up around 1PM-ish, though you're welcome to leave whenever you like. Who are they? A loving, super casual, accepting group of about 100ish multi-generational people. I know, I'm sure all churches say that... People come from all walks of life. I know this because they share openly on where they've been and what they struggle with now. There are people who wanted to go to church, but didn't think they could because of what they were doing in their life, and they say Stonebridge is the one church where they felt comfortable and accepted. No need to clean up your life first or put on a happy face. Just come, be real, and we want to know you for who you are. I love how our church loves people. Most people are in shorts and flip flops even on those few days it rains. We're casual and there's no need to dress up. Come as you are! It's such a blessing to be at a multi-generational church. We have kids, youth, young adults, and adults of all ages. I'm so blessed by the wisdom of those older than me and that I can hang out with and invest in our youth. We don't have cliques, we're not big enough to have that struggle. Everyone talks to everyone. That said, our age groupings are not big-- there's usually about 5-10 kids in our children's ministry (occurs during Sunday service, though kids are welcome in Sunday service if they like), 10-20 in our young adult group, etc. Oh yeah, and a lot of people here like Hockey. The church used to be next to The Rinks in Huntington Beach. When should I go? Come for Sunday service. There are weeknight meetings as well (Small groups, youth group, college group, etc.), but it's easiest to come on a Sunday and meet a few people then.
