All around great people. Show up and do what they say they will do. Shipped a large and fragile 3D printer with them- showed up in perfect condition and was able to plug it in and go. Shipped a few other large or strange items as well. Same story- showed up in the condition I gave it to them in. Pricing is great too. They are very responsive and professional. Many of our clients rave about their quality of the crates. We would not have been as successful without Orange County Crating. I've read the ridiculous review left by one of OUR clients complaining about his cheap neon beer sign that UPS destroyed by throwing the crate around. We have a strict policy of NOT shipping neon though any of the carries for this exact reason. This buyer insisted on paying for a crate and took the risk of shipping it though UPS. It was damaged by UPS, he received a full refund and kept the neon. He had no business writing that terrible review. They are great and one of the best in the business. read more

My boss tends to put me in charge of difficult projects, which is how I recently had to ship a 6 foot square, 4 foot tall antique Italian fountain. It's from the 1800s and looks like something from a town square or really nice courtyard. And it had to go to Canada. Needless to say, UPS and the postal service weren't options. I found out about Orange County Crating through a friend's recommendation, but they'd only ever shipped a slot machine, and I was really worried about mailing something this big and heavy. Long story short: I had nothing to be worried about. Orange County Crating gave me an estimate based on the dimensions, sent a team out to measure it, and custom built a box to ship the whole thing. They came back a few days later and had it loaded into the box and onto a truck in less than an hour. The box wasn't just something they had lying around or threw together. It was made specifically for the fountain, was really sturdy, and had all sorts of braces and things. I'm not a box expert, but it looked super legit. Nothing was going to happen to that thing! The fountain traveled internationally, arrived on schedule, and the estimate was accurate. Even better, my boss was thrilled with the price. He thought it would cost more to ship - so I looked good in the deal, too! The employees were friendly and very professional. They clearly do this sort of thing all the time. If you ever need something big, ungainly, or just plain too fragile or expensive to trust to UPS, I couldn't recommend Orange County Crating more! read more

If I could give them less than one star I would. I used them to send a glass item across country - they were recommended by the seller of the item . I requested that they insure the item for replacement value as well as crating and shipping costs in case the item was damaged (I have done this with other packaging companies) . My item was totally destroyed during shipping. They of cource blamed UPS as a terrible shipping company - but they continue to use them. I requested an insurance refund. After several weeks I got a refund for the replacement cost of the item ONLY. They ignored all my subsequent emails inquiring about what they had insured and why they had not followed my request about insuracne value - they got paid and could care less about there customers. These guys are the worst - you will only get any customer care till the check clears. I am left holding the bag for crating and shipping cost for an item I never recieved find someone else to ship with !!! read more

The family antique bench needed to be crated and shipped to the 91 year old matriarch and her family in Baldwin, NY so I went to the Internet researching Google, BBB and Yelp. I gathered estimates from three companies re: pick-up, crating, transport length and delivery specifications. I hit gold when Joe Rivers at Orange County Crating responded to my request. Photos of the bench at various stages of protective packing and crating were provided. Transport time to NY was the fastest at no additional cost with XPO tracking info. Delivery included a call to the family to schedule the delivery. Yesterday a joyful call from NY confirmed delivery had been completed by a "wonderful" delivery man who rolled the crated bench on a dolly down 1/2 a block when his huge truck could not clear the overhead street lines!
