I really appreciated that he focuses on the root cause of issues, not just symptoms -- a true example of great osteopathic care. She did not take the time to review my chart or listen to my medical history before refusing to refill medications that had already been prescribed for my shoulder injury. I'm not someone who takes medication daily, and I've never had any issues with misuse, so I found her approach dismissive and lacking compassion. I am a 68 year old who has been healthy and cautious my whole life. When I brought up my recent kidney stone, (and showed her the stone), she didn't take my concerns seriously or even discuss it with me. Her overall demeanor came across as unprofessional and condescending. I had hoped to establish care with a new physician after moving, but after this visit, I'll be returning to my previous doctor--even if it means driving two hours. I expect a doctor to show respect, listen carefully, and treat patients as individuals. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.
