I was at the dollar tree on Bristol in Santa Ana, when I noticed Sheriffs had 2 people in handcuffs sitting on the driveway part of the parking lot. I figured I'd ask one of the sheriffs what's going on. That's when I encountered a half sheriff wannabe gangster Hispanic male about 30-40 years old dark skinned, black hair, goatee, anywhere from 5'8 -5'11 about 170-200lbs wearing black cargo shorts and a black and white plaid long sleeve jacket, no visible tattoos. The rude SOB said "leave unless you want to be a part of it" aka I'm about to make some shit up and arrest you. I replied that I don't want to be a part of it I just want to film so I take out my iPhone and begin recording. First thing I did when I began to record was ask his name but all of a sudden he had nothing to say to me. Instead he looked flustered and called over his bff deputy Timothy Micheal Critz, Caucasian male, blonde/light brown buzzed hair, 35-45 years old about 5'4-5'6 approximately 185lbs, who at the time was making a personal phone call, he told the person on the other line that he had to let them go then approached me and told me that he didn't mind me filming but asked that I leave... Since he identified himself and didn't try to play tough guy I decided that out of the kindness of my heart I would leave. However after I left and was looking for my car I hear the Hispanic sheriff yelling at me that I should be embarrassed for not being able to locate my vehicle, I went back and reminded him that he's a public servant and I suggested that instead of threatening me with false arrest and jail time they should assist me in finding my car. They gave a condescending laugh, probably at the ridiculous misconception that they're here to help. I was visiblely unafraid of them which must've triggered Timothy Micheal Critz's Napoleon complex, he said I was about to join the prisoners if I didn't leave. I told him that sure he can arrest me but what is he going to tell the judge since everything is being recorded and shows that I have not broken any law? They didn't say anything after that. I did research and found that the fun sized skin head deputy sheriff Timothy Micheal Critz made $267,688.40 in 2016. Unfortunately his Hispanic bff didn't id himself so I have no idea what his name is or what he's good for. I left a couple pics but the sheriffs department made Yelp take them down. Remember those of us with real jobs make their annual salaries possible, I wouldn't accept some punk server threatening to spit in my food and no one should accept being threatened with jail time for filming in public or asking a public servant what happened. Unfortunately there were more bad deputy sheriffs there that night than good ones. Timothy Micheal Critz and his bff acted under the color of law while the other 3 sheriffs just stood there acting under something else other than their oath and let the freedom of the press go down the drain . Another little known fact is the blatant practice of retiring as disabled. PTSD is the buzz word to early retirement and the opportunity to own their own business.
