I was harassed interrogated and left on a third story parking structure after me telling the police officers that I just had an aneurysm and embolism in my heart, and if they could please help me get to my car I had several heavy and a dog that I rescued in my arms they drove away three cars, three police cars and left me in that parking structure. I was horrified by the time I got to my car, I was profusely sweating and was out of breath. I called the department and let them know what it happened. I just can't even believe this is the conduct of the sheriffs when I called for help and was treated like a criminal in my hometown the police officers definitely didn't behave in this manner. I personally have had friends that were sheriffs and this is not proper conduct.!

The driver was seen by multiple witnesses traveling over 100MPH before colliding with my car twice (once in the rear, once on the side) causing multiple injuries (19 rib breaks, punctured lung, multiple punctures to spleen, nerve damage to left arm/hand, concussion). These injuries nearly killed me! The reckless driver claimed he was going approximately 55 in a 45 and was recommended to receive a standard speeding ticket in the report! Even though in the report multiple witnesses saw him traveling nearly twice that speed and the wreckage showed he was going much faster than he claimed . He was also driving on a restricted NIP license, had 11 other infractions in 2 years a DUI and reckless driving offenses!!! This doesn't even address his sealed juvenile record! Why was he only recommended to receive a standard speeding ticket by OC Sheriffs (his offenses and injuries he caused met the requirements of a much heftier violation). This kid is a habitual offender with a pattern of bad driving and bad choices behind him! For public safety he should not be on the road!

I ended up sitting in custody for four days over something that clearly wasn't a crime--proved by the fact that the charges were dropped. That tells you everything you need to know about how poorly this situation was handled. This wasn't law enforcement--it was lazy decision-making and a lack of proper training. No common sense, no investigation, just straight to arrest. Situations like this shouldn't happen, yet here we are. If this is the level of judgment being used, it's honestly concerning. People's freedom shouldn't depend on whether an officer feels like doing their job correctly that day.

Biased and Unfair Treatment by Officer Stephens on Alicia Parkway…read more I'm writing to formally express my deep concern about the behavior of Officer Stephens, who stopped me near Kite Hill on Alicia Parkway and issued a speeding ticket--despite the fact that I was not speeding. As a proud service member of the U.S. Army, I've dedicated myself to protecting this country and the freedoms we all enjoy. It was both disappointing and disturbing to be treated with clear disrespect and what felt like racial profiling. Officer Stephens made inappropriate comments, including questioning my appearance (specifically, why I was wearing earrings) and spoke to me in a dismissive and demeaning manner. He did not allow me to speak or explain anything during the stop. His conduct was unprofessional and, in my opinion, discriminatory. I strongly believe Officer Stephens is in need of immediate diversity and sensitivity training. This type of behavior undermines public trust and reflects poorly on the department as a whole. I hope this complaint is taken seriously. No one should be made to feel targeted or disrespected based on their appearance, background, or ethnicity--especially those who serve this country.

I used my Airbnb hosts' phone to call them (the Airbnb hosts said they didn't have my size charger and were annoyed by my request which I understand), the dispatch person who picked up overheard my Airbnb hosts speak Korean and Chinese in the background, she totally switches up her attitude and starts speaking Chinese to me which was kind of funny to me at first then she says to me "this is America you know" about my problem hinting that it's petty and unserious and unsalvageable which i totally was aware of already, that it could be considered bad for an individualistic society to call for help for something small, but technically in the U.S. the police are supposed to help with small and legal tasks such as flat tires or lost individuals walking around without help. Plus you're not supposed to just knock on anyone's door and ask for help from strangers here you'd get blamed for being stupid if you get kidnapped. I received a voicemail from Officer Martinez asking for mo was not theree information. The second time I came down to the PD, I was told Officer Martinez was not there. Ibrought down a complete report as to what happened on May 14th. I included pictures to assist in understanding my complaint. I then went on Yelp to see what kind of reviews Santa Ana Club Towing had. There were over 5 pages of reviews, and my suspicions were spot on. I made a copy of at least 25 reviews, all collaborating with my report about Santa Ana Towing Club setting up a sting to tow cars. For the 3rd time I brought down my findings to the Tustin PD.These reviews date back to 2023,24,& 25. I am appalled at the history of this company and can't believe these incidents have gone on this long without any investigations. Again, I was informed that Officer Martinez was not in. They don't have voice mail so you can't leave a message for them. This time they told me she was in some sort of training and wouldn't be back until next week. I asked if I could leave her a message to call me. They took my name and number but I do not have much faith in my message being delivered. Why did they not tell me from the very start she was in some training and would not be back for a few weeks. Go figure? So now I wait and see if anything will be done. And of course, how can we post a review without, stating that those summer uniforms are the best!!!!, Who doesn't love those uniforms. Yet on a serious note. I agree with the poster below... most of the officers here are amazing, yet there are a handful, that clearly don't do the department any justice. My only complaint (as silly as it is), is their Facebook page. It's not engaging with others. It's cold and not welcoming. I also follow the Huntington Beach PD on my facebook, and there is such a huge difference in the way they (HB) interacts with their neighborhood (via facebook). I really think Newport Beach, needs to take a page from HB. To become neighborhood friendly and not so standoff'ish, this would only benefit the department and our beautiful city. I was asked to do a wellness check on someone and when I arrived I noticed 2 LBPD units parked up…read morethe street and then I saw a message that the person I was checking on was deceased. I needed to relay the situation to a family member that lived out of state and it was nerve wracking to say the least. The officers were there for hours waiting for the coroner and explaining to all kinds of nosey people with somewhat inappropriate questions. I have a handful of cops in my family but I don't get to hear about the slow days per se. LBPD contracts with a service called TIPS. They send counselors to calls where someone is impacted by a traumatic situation. These people along with the officers were amazing and they stayed till the last person walked out and I locked the door. Of course if I get a ticket from LBPD in the future I'm def coming back and taking some s away.
