Service is honestly the biggest thing I noticed during my visit. The barista (maybe owner?) greeted me with a huge smile and welcome. Multiple people during my short time here came in and knew her by name - they asked about her holiday plans and when she would reopen after a short holiday break. It was clear she had created community here - something that's really special in a cafe. I got a hot matcha and it had great flavor. I also got a gluten-free chocolate chip scone that felt a bit dry, but otherwise good. There seating definitely fills up fast in here with some fellow visitors and medical students, so I ended up sharing a table with some students. Outlets were a bit limited as well. I started seeing Moka pop up around me after my visit - my friend in Madison swears by their coffee beans, and others rave about their coffee and lattes. Give them a try in Rochester!

I decided to get the Peach Fruit Shaker, this is made with coconut milk, peach syrup, dried peaches and vanilla. This is similar to the Summer Skies drink at Starbucks. I've seen several people walking around with these shakers. This was far too sweet for me, I didn't like it at all. While the flavor was peach, it was very candy like, very artificial and very sweet. If you're looking for quality coffee or drinks check out any of the local coffee shops.

But what struck a cord was when a homeless person came in with no shoes and we could tell he was genuine. I approached three different Caribou Coffee associates and handed them a twenty dollar bill and asked them to give him $20 worth of food to take with him. They all ignored me and when I said multiple times to take the money and feed him, they all looked at me and turned around and walked away. I'm a retired firefighter and know when someone is down on their luck. But these employees took the cake by ignoring my Good Samaritan aid. Shame on them. Corporate should have a special team meeting to rehabilitate the employees to higher moral standards.

The donuts looked so fresh and there was a huge variety. I know some of the reviews on their corn dogs and bubble tea are mixed. I didn't try either. However, I will say that whenever I go to a place, I tend to get what it's most known for. Mochinut is known for their donuts, so I got a 12 pack of donuts to-go. There was no wait when I went. We took them home and they tasted sooo delicious and fresh - on par with mochi donuts I've had in the Twin Cities. Absolutely loved them. My favorite flavors that I've tried so far are the Strawberry and Oreo - but you really can't go wrong. Highly recommend and I'll definitely be getting more in the future.
