Eggs Benedict And a Vanilla Latte
    Jordan T.

Forager Brewery (Cafe) up in Rochester, MN not only does beer and food, but they do breakfast too! I love their lattes and the specials when they have them and this eggs Benedict is by far the best one I've had and I've sampled many of them. This would be my top rec for breakfast or brunch here!

was in town for a few days of meetings and stayed the weekend. this place had a great breakfast menu, simple yet excellent. my group all enjoyed a huge mugs of coffee, brewed perfectly. we had 2 avocado toasts (outstanding) on sour dough and 1 egg sandwich in croissant (fabulous) . highly recommend this place if you're in town. they have option to order ahead, but the atmosphere is very pleasant for a nice breakfast or brunch

Lots of variety, I really like their pizzas but if you're a drinker they have a wide selection.

We got the curry and the forager bowl. Both were very odd. The curry was very sweet and had a lot of random flavors. The beer was great.

When I was there last month, the parking lot was pretty busy. I didn't park steps away from the main entrance, but way to the right of the main doors. After a wonderful meal, I walked over to my car. I passed by The Fit Loon and it stopped me in my tracks. It had the feel of ZeeV's Nutrition Studio, which is my place for healthy, low- to no-sugar shakes and teas. Could this store be one? Yes! I was so happy that I walked in without any thought. I was greeted by a nice man behind the counter. He asked if I had any question as I looked at all teas and shakes listed on the wall. I settled on the watermelon crawl tea. Since I didn't have any questions about the menu and knew what I wanted, he knew that I was familiar with healthy teas and shakes. "Where's your nutrition homebase?" he asked me. "Toronto, in Canada. I used to live in Rochester and found your store in passing," I said with a huge smile. I asked if I could sign in to the touch pad. He said of course. It helps that I'm registered on the Engage app, so associating my drink with me when I pay makes everything easier. He let me know that the store was celebrating its one-year anniversary. What shocked me was that I have been coming to get pannekoeken in this plaza for nearly a year and I had never noticed this store until now. Where have I been?! This place had so much excitement buzz happening thanks to its anniversary. You could get branded merchandise, from hoodies and t-shirts, to drink cups. It had cakepops that looked amazing. You could enter a bunch of draws, to celebrate the store's anniversary. The snack bowl had an assortment of protein bars that I had never seen before. The store is cozy. I loved the comfy chairs. The wall with What's shakin'? and balloons was the perfect place to take photos. My drink was ready for pickup. I thanked both staff members and left. The man wished me a good trip, which I appreciated. The watermelon crawl tea was excellent. It had watermelon and cucumber. I felt like I was at a spa, but was visiting my old 'hood. It was the perfect drink to keep me cheerful and hydrated in Rochester, and kept me energized when I left and drove an hour back to Bloomington. The Fit Loon was a wonderful find. I will be back. I'm so happy that Rochester has a place where you can get healthy drinks. Such a terrific edition to the city! (424)

(I really am spoiled by the high quality tea shops in my home state.) I usually get my first drink at a place at whatever the recommended sweetness level is to get a feel for the baseline sweetness level, and Tea Time is sweeter than I am used to, but they do offer sweetness adjustment, so that's just something to keep in mind. I wasn't in a fruity mood, so I got the toasted brown sugar milk tea, and it really just tasted like a normal milk tea to me (but with extra sugar)? The molasses-y flavor of brown sugar was barely there, even at the recommended sweetness level, and I felt the boba was a little over-done and slightly mushy, but it may have been an off day since it was a weekday in a colder season and the shop didn't have many visitors while we were there drinking our tea--higher turnover usually means fresher boba in any boba shop. Overall, a reasonable boba shop if you need to satisfy the craving while in the area. Since I visit Rochester annually to see my husband's family, I figure I will be back again some other year, and I look forward to seeing the Rochester boba scene grow.

I tried my usual default Jasmine Milk Tea w/ tapioca (confirmed it was lactose free). The drink was light but still milky, didn't taste too watery. The most surprising thing about my relationship with Cafe Steam is that we've actually reached a…read morestage of mutual understanding where the staff knows exactly which level of 'morning zombie' I am based on how loudly I trip over the doorframe. I have a bit of a love affair with this place. Now, I'm a certified early bird, and by that, I mean I'm usually awake and craving caffeine while the rest of the world is still debating if they actually need to attend that 9:00 AM Zoom call. There is something genuinely therapeutic about being there right as they flip the sign to 'Open,' when the air still smells like freshly ground beans and the sunlight is hitting the dust motes in that perfect, cinematic way. It's the quietest the place ever gets, and I get to witness the staff transitioning from 'sleepy' to 'caffeinated chaos' in real-time. However, I'm also a fan of the 'closing time' vibe. There's a completely different magic to sliding into a booth around 7:00 PM. By then, the energy has shifted from a productive buzz to a sort of cozy, exhausted collective sigh. I'll just camp out for a while, pretending to be very focused on my laptop while actually just people-watching the evening rush. The ambiance is wonderfully casual--think 'industrial chic meets a living room that's slightly too small for its furniture.' Most of the time it's just a pleasant hum, but every so often it hits a tipping point and becomes absolutely hectic. You've got the frantic students cramming for finals, the first-date nerves radiating off a couple in the corner, and a line of people stretching toward the door. It's a beautiful kind of mayhem, really. But let's talk about the real star of the show: the drinks. While I usually rotate through the classics, I am currently in a committed relationship with their seasonal 'Miss Sunshine' creamy lemonade. It sounds like something a toddler would order at a fancy tea party, but trust me, it's a game-changer. It's got this bright, zesty punch of citrus that wakes up your entire soul, but then it's smoothed over with this velvety, creamy finish that makes it feel like a dessert. It's basically a hug in a plastic cup, and I'm fully prepared to be devastated when it leaves the seasonal menu. I will add photo's *later* : )
