But it all have its price, and at this premium located spot, you will pay its price, and you will be happy about it, even though you wont get any gold. It can get pretty crowded later on, so be there in time, to secure your night in glam. A perfect place to start off your night at, or drop in for a cocktail. The atmosphere is great and the ceiling height among with all the other details, will give you the classiness you deserve. Biggest con is that sofas and armchairs provide you too great comfort, so great, that you might end up sitting here all night. Sit down, have a drink, enjoy...

We got a nice chair to sit & very good professional service, they come to your table, take your order & bring your drink to the table. It was perfect for a chat & a drink with a friend. Music is neither too loud nor too crazy ( lounge music) & you get a decent chair to sit & keep your honor (by not having to crowd others in a cramped space at the bar & stretch half way to the other side of the bar to get the bar tender's attention!) The crowd is pretty mixed, there were mature & middle aged people, very young(20+) groups & some couples. If you are looking for somewhere to have a drink & chat (& be able to hear each other!) this is really nice place.

The space was perfect. We took the downstairs area and the al fresco outside tables and put in our drink orders. Cesar (sp?) quickly and effectively made us all sorts of drinks. I recommend the Tuxedo No. 2 and the Negrini. Both were excellent. And then the food? Amazing. The veal was cooked with truffles, peas and capers and came out very juicy and savory. The shrimp on the shrimp sandwich was very fresh and the bread was delicious. Many of the people in our party said that the smoked sausage was the best they ever had. The mustard was also a standout. On top of all of these praises, you should go to Erlands for the waitstaff. I couldn't believe that 2 people could host a 25 person party and have time to joke around with us and wait on walk-in customers. Gustav and Cesar are the homies. +1 star for the decor, the coziness of the place, and the playlist! These guys like jazz music, so the night's tunes included hip hardbop tunes and hot swing. Thanks for everything, Gustav!

It almost feels like someone's home with age-old photos of the owners grandpa, authentic furniture from the fifties and soothing tunes from past decades. I was here in the afternoon and since I was hungry I ordered the 'räksallad', which was good. It had tons of shrimps, avocado, lettuce, tomato etc. and a really nice lemony garlic sauce. The only minuses come from the somewhat soggy iceberg salad leaves and over boiled egg. I had a nice glass of Riesling with it. I've heard that they serve also nice coffee and good cocktails so this place seems to be perfect for any time of the day except for the morning. Can't wait to be back! Edit: This place also has WiFi and I must say that my heart skipped a beat when I heard the password. P e r f e c t o !

I enjoyed the infused water available at the front desk. The staff seemed more focused on making sure you were out of the gym area by its closing time than on refilling water in the gym. The cleaning man hung out in the women's room cleaning or whatever, some 20-25 minutes before closing on one evening, which kept my wife from being able to use the women-only sauna. The next night, the hotel had the nerve to send a 'security guard' or some authoritative figure to ensure we were out by closing. For clarity, we weren't aware of the closing hours for the gym the first night, and the cleaner informed us that the gym was closed; we'd just asked the front desk to turn on the sauna, and they'd said nothing about closing when acknowledging that we wanted to turn it on. Of the four nights we stayed, half of those had no water in the gym. There's no phone or way to contact the front desk for more, so more consistency in checking would be nice, at least as much care to kick out patrons trying to get in a post-exploration workout. Also, one day we asked for new towels; they left a stack on the counter, and left all of the dirty towels. They took that quite literally, but the implied task was to pick up the old towels left on the floor. Lastly, just a preference, but I like the double beds better than singles placed next to each other.

I picked a caprese (yes, in march, in Sweden) because nothing else was really appealing me. I knew what to expect and it was as good as I could expect. Still a bit on the small side. Pretty hard to find if your just walking the streets in Gamla Stan but so worth it if you find it. Excellent drinks and while we were there, they had a beer special that was up my alley- so to speak. We also enjoyed some smoked salmon for an appetizer that was awesome as well. Some colorful lights and a large umbrella with some space heaters help to take the chill out of the late summer nights. And the bartenders were spot on with a drink or beer when needed. Just what we needed after some full days of walking through the historic town that is so full of great things to see. It's not often I want to try something a second time, but this space deserves a return trip.

The seats, dim lights, and warm colors of the decor were super cozy. We had six courses which included a burger and different samplings of bacon. For dessert there was a strawberry sambuca shake which was out of this world. I would definitely want to come back for dinner, but for a special occasion. The prices were a bit high (although I do think it's worth the price). Will definitely be back for drinks, though.

We were able to check in a bit early which was nice and the front desk guy mentioned he gave us an upgrade due to our Marriott status. Our room was tiny and overlooked the "courtyard," which was just some AstroTurf on the ground, so I'm not sure what a non-upgraded room is, but our room worked out fine just the same. The location of the hotel was terrific and super walkable. The bathroom was small but nice. There didn't seem to be a bathroom fan so it got pretty steamed-up with a hot shower, but I think the mirror was heated as it cleared up faster than normal. Our king-sized bed had two twin comforters, which, as an American, was unexpected but it worked out very nicely by avoiding a tug of war for the covers. There were no USB ports, which I would have expected at a hotel of this level, but that's a very minor point.

The only snafu was a bumpy check-in, where the really sweet front desk agent who checked us in apparently didn't check us all the way in. Seriously how does that happen? We signed, we put up the credit card for incidentals, we got keys, the tv had my name on it to welcome us and we spent the 1st night in the room with nothing seeming amiss, and upon disclosing our name and room number we were welcomed to the breakfast that next morning. But then that day we got a no-show charge via email and worried housekeeping would pack up our belongings with the room showing as unoccupied in their system, so upon our return from that day's interrupted activities we had to sort it out. They checked us in (again) but this time for realsies and they said the no-show charge was the same as the room charge so our 4-night stay became officially a 3-night stay. I'm still not sure if the rate stayed the same but it all seemed more or less fixed at the time... but now Marriott Bonvoy isn't giving me credit for the room night and the points so I'm still dealing with it weeks later which is crazy because we were there. So annoying. But the hotel really was nice. The room was spacious, the lounge was beautiful with an enormous multistory chandelier and the breakfast really was epic. Lots to see via short walks, meals, destinations and transit access in every direction. Nice place.
