While I give kudos to the coaches and overall environment at the OTF Evans, my level of dissatisfaction with management, in particular, Jennifer, has overshadowed anything positive I could ever say about them. On October 7, 2022 I sent an email to the studio manager stating that I needed to cancel my membership due to military obligations. I sent the email approximately 35 days in advance in accordance with the 30-day membership cancelation policy set forth in my contract. I did not receive a response or any form of acknowledgement until 9 days later, on October 16th when I sent yet another email (on the 15th of October) following up on the previous one. This is where the problem began. Initially, the manager, Jennifer, offered that I put my account on a temporary hold/freeze for 30 days. When I stated that the unpredictability of my current schedule was the cause of the cancellation and that I didn't know how long that would go on she proceeded with the cancellation and sent me a form to fill out which I returned the same day. A brief time after she received the form, I get an email in which she casually greeted me with "Hey" and proceeded to tell me that because the system "could not backdate" the cancellation to the day that I initially sent the email she would have to charge me for an extra month because the 30 days had now passed. However, out of the KINDESS of her heart she stated that she would lower the fee to the basic package ($79) as a "convenience" to me rather than the $109 that I paid monthly. When I questioned the logic of being penalized for her unresponsiveness even though I followed the guidelines of the contract and stated that I would not be rejoining the club again... ever, I received no response back. I was appalled and furious that I was be being penalized for what essentially boils down to her inability to function as a manger and check her emails in a timely manner. To add insult to injury, when the final charge came out of my account, I was charged the full amount and not the lower fee as she stated in the email. Orangetheory Fitness Evans - Gyms Near Me - Evans, Georgia

I am a member of Orangetheory in Chicago, and when I come to visit my family in Georgia, it's always a pleasure coming to OTF here. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful with signing up for class, and when my heart rate monitor wasn't working, they were eager to troubleshoot it and help find solutions until it worked (including let me use a different monitor instead). Each time I've visited this studio, I just so happened to have Lynn as my coach, and she was fantastic. She is incredibly encouraging and full of energy. Also, on my last time there, she included a motivational quote in the workout, which was a nice touch! Overall, I'd definitely recommend this studio to any family or friends in the area, and I know I'll be coming back when I'm in town. Outside of just this particular studio, I highly recommend Orangetheory in general. In a separate review, I've said this before, but in my opinion, OTF is the next-best thing to having a personal trainer. The workout involves high intensity interval training with heart rate monitoring. Every class is different and leaves you feeling both accomplished and inspired to reach your fitness goals. Not to mention, each is an incredibly efficient way to get a good workout in within 1 hour - which is so important when you have a busy schedule. I've been a member for over a year now and haven't had a bad class yet - including when I travel and check out studios across the country. read more

First off - the workouts are fantastic. Here's the problem and it's one many people have had... when you leave there is always a problem and you will have to fight with them to not be charged. I should have had my last payment April 21st. I was charged again in May and now they are telling me my last payment/cancellation is after a June payment. WTF??? Got invited by a friend to attend a class, I thought to myself and said ok I'm pretty fit I think aka (challenge accepted!). I did not know what I was getting into but I was happy I went! It kick started my need for a better balance workout from my weight training and this place is helping me lean out! I'm all in and drinking that orange koolaid for sure!!!! Started with a 10 Class pack and burned through that in no time. Re-up with a 20 class pack and now I'm 12 classes deep and I feel and see the impact it has on my health fitness goals I wanted to achieve! This is no walk in the park and that's why it works so get on over there and try it for yourself "you have to burn to earn" that fit /healthy life you want! Finally found a gym with the tablet screens on the rower. Nice and clean location. Only bad thing is that they don't have noon classes and Fridays and weekends are limited to morning classes. read more

Even though I completely enjoyed working out here. I personally just can not see my self paying that much a month!! Yes the money is worth the intense work out. But my pay check doesn't agree with me. The people working there are super friendly and so supportive and encouraging. If you have the chance to get a free work out take it. Hot, new workout! From the same minds that brought you Massage Envy. I've already been 5 times. The owners are GREAT. The staff and instructors are friendly and know what they are doing and how to push you. OrangeTheory is a 60 minute class where you do a combination of running, rowing and cross training. Most notably this is all centered on your heart rate. The goal is to be in the "Orange" for as least 12 minutes to achieve a certain result. You wear the heart rate monitor for the class and you can track your results on the TV screens mounted throughout the studio. It's a small space and you must sign up for each class- typically no drop ins as they can only accommodate around 20ppl for each session. The instructors know how to cater the workouts to people of all fitness levels. I must be pushed. It's hard for me to get my heart rate up- so they help me make the exercises harder. For beginners, they are great at showing alternate moves as well. They always ask if anyone has any injuries about which they need to be aware. The Grand Opening is tomorrow, 5/27. I love starting my days at OTF Evan's! The coach's and staff make the experience so fun and easy! Within a few weeks the staff has taken the time to learn your name and which rower/tread you like to start on! The energy that the coachs bring distracts me from the pain of the workout! I've gone to several Orange Theories-Birmingham, Atlanta, and this one. This one and the instructors here have absolutely kicked my bum harder than any of the others. Cameron and the rest of the staff are super nice and helpful. I've had Renee and one other lady as an instructor--highly motivational and energetic. My home studio is in Atlanta, but they never compare to the energy at this studio! I highly recommend taking one of Renee's classes--I've taken 2 on a Friday afternoon and definitely felt like I was starting my weekend off right. read more

First let me say that the workouts and coaches are 5 stars. This review is for customer service and the new owners. I needed help with something on my account and it took four days of me calling for the manager to finally get back to me. The new treadmills are terrible. Lastly, when I signed up for a membership I was told I could check out a heart rate monitor for free. Then without warning I show up and it's going to be $10 each time or I can by a $150 band. What a money pit. Once my membership is done I will never be going back. read more

This is only my second week at orange theory, but I already love this place! Everyone there is so professional and super nice. I have been a member at several different gyms and this one is one of my favorites. I have always hated cardio and really just liked lifting weights, but at OTF I really don't mind the cardio. It's intense, but goes by fast. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone that's looking for some really good cardio and a mix of weights. Woop woop, incredible place to go for workouts if you're looking for a challenge. After years of working out I had hit a plateau but believe me when I say orange theory pushes you some and then more! Best workouts I've had since being in athletic teams in college!!! Also, everyone is at a different level so it's not a competition, it's a way to push yourself with other people motivating you by working alongside you at whatever level of effort they can afford. OrangeTheory is a class based workout program. You reserve your spot in the classes online, thru the app, or by calling the studio. When you arrive, people congregate in the lobby area and wait for the class to begin. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. When you are a first time guest, the trainer will meet with you privately a few minutes before class and explain how to go thru the workout, as well as familiarize you with the equipment. You get a borrowed heart rate monitor from the front desk and strap it around your chest. The TVs will instantly show your heart rate. Your goal is to get it in the ORANGE ZONE for about 20 minutes of your one hour workout. This is easily achieved as this is a challenging, but doable workout! The coaches are fun and knowledgeable. They give you just the right amount of push. The workout consist of treadmills, water rowers, weights, bosu balls, TRX bands, etc. The coaches implement a pre-designed workout that will vary every day. It's intense, but FUN!!!
