They have a notice on the door as you go in that says "You did the hard part; we'll take it from here"- This is so true! They come with equipment if you don't have it or to supplement anything you do have. And they ease you into a workout routine rather than starting you on some crazy boot camp routine. I am much stronger and more resilient in the last month since Melisa has been coming and training me and my wife. We also have separate packages for couples sessions as opposed to individual sessions. It is expensive but let's face it, if you're not motivating to go to the gym you have no excuse. We intend to continue for as long as Melisa is with them.

The doctor wanted me to slowly start exercising, but I couldn't figure out what to do or if I did things I'd over do it and hurt. I really needed a trainer that was incredibly knowledgable about the body works and knew how to effectively work around injuries. I also need a trainer who would push me if I needed it, but more importantly make sure I wasn't doing too much or the wrong thing. Lisa is perfect. She is creative and adaptive in her workouts and exercises; she is clearly incredible knowledgable about muscles and the way the body moves; and has had a lot of experience with women with all types of injuries. My family's experience with this hospice provider was nothing short of unacceptable. From the…read morebeginning, the staff showed a troubling level of inattentiveness to my parent's needs, leaving us feeling abandoned during one of the most vulnerable periods of his life. Communication was consistently poor. On duty providers rarely offered meaningful updates about my father's actual medical condition, instead giving superficial comments about his "mood" rather than the medical information we desperately needed. The situation escalated when, without any notice or explanation, Ascend Hospice abruptly informed me that my father's care was being terminated. There was no warning, no discussion, and no rationale provided for such a serious decision. Ascend noted that they had not even discussed the situation with their medical team. But even with that, there was no follow up from tjme. We were left completely in the dark. We appealed this termination with the state, and the ruling was in my father's favor due to Ascend not following up with information requested by the state. Yet even after the state sided with us, Ascend Hospice made no effort to follow up, recertify him, or correct their mistake. Their lack of accountability at such a critical moment was appalling. Things only got worse. When my father was hospitalized for an issue unrelated to hospice care, Ascend Hospice went to his assisted living facility and removed all of their equipment from his apartment -- again without any notice, communication, or justification. This reckless and unprofessional behavior created unnecessary chaos and stress for both my father and our family. Multiple staff members at the assisted living facility he resides at later told us that this type of conduct was typical of Ascend Hospice. Based on their warnings -- and recommendations from both the hospital and the assisted living center -- we switched to another hospice provider. That decision has been a tremendous relief. The new provider has shown the communication, professionalism, and ethics that Ascend Hospice completely failed to deliver. Please, for the sake of your loved one, take the time to compare multiple hospice providers. And based on our experience, I strongly urge families to steer clear of Ascend Hospice. EDIT: Also wanted to note that just two weeks after they removed my father from hospice for allegedly being in prime health, he died from the very disease that got him into hospice in the first place. Don't use Ascend Hospice when it comes to the care of your family and loved ones.

Unfortunately due to Medicare guidelines the services aren't long enough but that's not their fault. The aide provided was very helpful as well. We actually hired her to come back to continuing helping for a few hours each week. Definitely recommend this home health agency.
