Great gym! Set up a training session with Eric Williams. You won't regret it. He knows his stuff.read more

My husband and I have been working with David Musciotto for about four months. We came to him with…read morea lot of pain, discomfort and limited range of motion resulting from number of persistent injuries, and exacerbated by the physical demands of a thirty-pound toddler. After just a few short weeks of intensive work-outs with David, we experienced a level of relief from joint problems (affecting knees, hips, shoulders, ankles and wrists) that had seemed unattainable despite several rounds of effort with physical therapists and consultations with orthopedists. David clearly has a keen understanding of joint function and inter-relationships among different parts of the body and nervous system, and a skilled eye for subtle signs of injury, muscle imbalance and misalignments. He not only designs the customized workouts to solve the problem, but also is passionate about educating clients on how to move with greater agility, flexibility and strength in ways that minimize toxic stress and build resilience to injury and the effects of aging, making it a great investment that goes well beyond our short-term recovery goals. He has a quirky and humorous style with enough "drill sergeant" to help you move beyond your comfort zone and accomplish things you wouldn't have thought possible or even worthwhile (like dead-lifting 150 lb), but balanced with enough support and encouragement to keep you from getting pissed off and discouraged. Absolute Fitness is a very positive, welcoming environment. The other trainers are also extremely friendly, knowledgeable and encouraging, and they foster good camaraderie among each other and their clients. It's fun and inspiring to cheer each other on as we try new things and struggle to build more strength and skill.

I highly recommend Jason Tecchio as a personal trainer. I have been training with him for 15 years…read more When I started out, I couldn't do a push up, I had no idea what a squat was (nor could I do one), and I had sore knees so walking was often painful. Now I can do twenty five push ups, seventy-five pound squats, and I take the stairs at my office two at a time! I am still learning and being challenged in every session; Jason's workouts get harder as I get stronger. Previously, I had tried working with other personal trainers, but there was no structure to their sessions and they wasted time making small talk. Jason is focused and organized, and he utilizes every minute we have. He takes notes after every work-out and we build on it the next time. If you have a muscle that is sore or an injury, he remembers and calibrates around it. As I learned when I broke my wrist, Jason can work around any injury. In fact, my doctors were incredibly impressed with my range of motion and strength when they took off my cast. Jason lives and breathes everything he teaches. He is constantly learning new exercises and techniques, and implementing them in our training. He gives helpful recommendations about diet and stress management; I believe that working-out remotely with him got me through the stress of the pandemic. Getting stronger in the gym has made me stronger in all other aspects of my life. My confidence has soared and my mindset has never been better.

We know that we are paying a premium price/dues and felt that the facilities and service were worth it. However, things have changed over the past few years. The bottom line is that we are still paying premium prices, but no longer getting premium service. We used to refer all of our friends to this club, but in good conscience we no longer refer. The machines are not well maintained, and when one is taken out of service it can take 4 to 6 weeks to repair. A number of the TV 's around the club have faulty feeds so pictures are intermittent. Many of the screens on elliptical and treadmills do not work. This situation has gone on for over a year, and management has been informed many times over these issues. The club has oversold its membership so that parking is a problem. Aurora classes are always waitlisted. I utilize your personal training services weekly and most recently, I spoke to the General manager, Dominick Delli Paoli, about a situation that has persisted for years. I am referring to classes that take place in the middle of the exercise floor. The instructor, Micah, blasts the music so loudly that I can't even hear my personal trainer and the sound is so loud that it is offensive. She lowers the music when she is giving her group instruction and then returns to the blasting music. I've spoken to management during the year and nothing has changed. Yesterday, I went to Dominick's office to request that he has the music lowered. I was shocked by his response. When I explained my request, he replied,"I will not do that!" He was rude and dismissive. I am stunned that the General Manager of an upscale club be so rude to his members. He sat at his desk and did nothing. I went back to my personal training very upset to be treated so poorly. We would like nothing more than to see this club return to its former excellence, but it's hard to believe that could happen with this current general manager. Respectfully,

They continue to admit members when they have filled the gym with pre-existing members. Often times I found myself waiting for 1 of 45 treadmills to be available. 6 of them would probably out of service with no warning sign on it. 2. As far as the sauna, be prepared to be joined by 15 men. 1 of which will be taking a business call. 3. You will see a 45lb dumbbell placed in a 15lbs dumbbell spot on the rack because people don't understand how to put things back. 4. Lastly, their locker room is disgusting. My friend got Plantar Warts walking once barefoot. Towels are everywhere, locker room attendants are hitting their vapes. End of story, It's not worth the monthly payment unless you will be going 5AM-7:30AM or 7:30PM-10PM due to crowdedness.
