It seems most people only review the company when their drivers don't turn up! Our driver was 10 minutes early for a 06h45 pick up this morning - great service. And we've ordered many times before and never had problems. The only small criticism I'd have is they indicated €50 to go to the airport and it was €69 in the end despite zero traffic. I rang and booked a taxi on Saturday 28th of October to collect me on Sunday 29th of October at 07.00 to bring me into the Dublin city marathon , at 07.07 I rang Orchard Cabs , or I should say tried numerous times before I got an answer. When I told the guy that I booked a taxi the day before and wanted to know why it had not arrived. He said he had no cars and that I was on a list , I ask him why take a booking if you can not honour the booking , I was told he know nothing about that , so I told him that I would never use there company again. Either I'm very unlucky or the other reviewers were more fortunate. Definitely last time I'll use them. Admittedly, it was two weeks before Christmas which was exactly why I booked the taxi 24 hours in advance. Guess what. No show. Took 10 minutes to get through on the phone an hour before due time to double check to be told taxi would be there 'more or less' on time. At 10 minutes after the appointed time, called them again to be told that I was next for dispatch. It's busy, I was told. The reason I booked in advance was to ensure an ontime ride. Waste of time. Taxi eventually turned up 30 minutes late so we're late for our restaurant booking. Never again. I don't like mytaxi on principle but that'll be my Port of call in future. read more

Since my last review was taken down again I I'll keep posting a review to tell you how useless this crowd is. Worst taxi service ever. Never are they on time even if you book a day in advance. The guy behind the phone is the most incompetent, arrogant, rude dispatcher I've ever talked to. The dispatcher nearly always tells me a taxi will be with me in 20 minutes and then when I ring back 40 or 50 minutes later to see where my taxi is he tells me he's still trying to get one out to me.. I then ask him why he told me there'd be a taxi with me in 20 minutes if he knew there wasn't a taxi available then.. And he proceeds to tell me to stop giving out and hangs up the phone. Then when I try to ring back he doesn't answer. You'll get home faster by walking. I'd pick 0 stars if I could read more

I and my family have used Orchard Cabs a lot over the years as I live beside the Orchard and it will be the last time we will use them, I rang and booked a taxi to a local pub I was in, the women on the phone said yes it will be there shortly, an hour later no sign of the taxi so I rang them back and a man answered and I explained the situation and he told me no I don't have any taxis up that way ill give you another taxi's company number, I said well I have been waiting an hour and no one has called me back to even tell me this and the women said it would be there shortly, I got no apology, his reply was "do you want to argue with me on the phone or take this taxi number I'm giving you" I was disgusted. After that experience I will not be using them again. read more

Wet windy Saturday night, booked taxi in advance with Orchard Cabs - it never showed, never cancelled, I tried to call and find out where my taxi was - my call 'was in a queue, and it would be answered' - then just went to voicemail. Left message asking to be called back - still waiting. Gave up after 20 minutes and had to drive to my event and was late as a result. Previously had good experience with them but last night was a disaster. Thanks :( read more
