The episcopal church honors the traditions of our catholic brothers with a beautiful Holy Eucharist each Sunday. The church also encourages discernment; active learning of various religious and current societal topics with adult education each quarter. Families with children are encouraged to attend. Certain Sundays have children's Sunday School. On other Sundays, families with small children are encouraged to sit near the baptismal font where all kinds of activities are available for "small hands" like drawing; coloring; reading; puzzles and games. I also love the fact that Trinity is a leader in the downtown community providing occasional concerts; an education space cosponsored with Hill Brook School; multiple unhoused feeding programs including an inhouse Trinity program and supporting our partner Octavia's Kitchen which distributes nourishing home cooked warm meals to the unhoused in St. Jame's Park. Historic Trinity also partners with Front Door Communities which offers a multitude of women living in the downtown San Jose core with a low cost/no cost boutique, warm lunches served 3 days a week and bag lunches provided multiple week days. Their boutique is spectacular located in the lower level of Fellowship Hall on the Trinity Campus. Finally, I can't say enough about the music at Trinity. Canon for Music Adrian Cotta was trained in Europe and supports a mighty semi professional choir as well as the historic Hook and Hastings organ. More, special liturgies include a small band; the grand piano and harpsicord. The Cathedral also maintains and regularly plays a carillon tower of bells each Sunday and on special event days. Our Canterbury Foundation is now raising money and working to implement plans to host eight students at Trinity. Although it is estimated that 4000 students are housing secure at SJSU, we will work hard to do our part thanks to the generous hospitality of the Dean and congregation at Trinity

If volunteering is an interest St Vincent de Paul group serves the poor and meet 1x a month and others are invited to join any time - it's a wonderful group of people. There are other volunteer opportunities too to join groups for fun and friendship. If you need prayers for you or your loved ones, prayer groups are available on Tuesday and other days online. This parish has helped my healing journey, I was away from the church and was welcomed back in such a warm and caring way. The priest help me by answering my many questions about life and eternity. And I thank God for this healing gift. If you are away from the church and looking for one, come and see and if you questions about life, about God or faith in general come ask the priest. I am so grateful to the catholic church for helping me through one of my most difficult times of my life. It did not matter that I was away from the church for so long. There are really pretty stained glass windows and the seating area is divided into three big areas. There is a gurgling fountain at the altar and a big Baptismal font near the back. I've been here twice. The homilies were fine but not memorable. Apparently with all the Filipinos going to St. John the Baptist and all the Mexicans going to Our Lady of Peace and Our Lady Star of the Sea, that left all the white people for St. Justin. It was weird seeing such a sea of white-y.

I am happy to say that I've been a member for 10 years, ever since my college days. There are times that I have visited mega churches in the bay area to understand why they have such a broad appeal. I'd recommend setting aside a Sunday morning for a quick visit and seeing if it's to your liking.

It's also very cool to see his homilies on YouTube. The community is not as multi-cultural as other churches in the Diocese (prodominately Caucasian) but is still very pleseant. Beautiful church that I had the opportunity to discover during the San Jose Greek festival last…read moremonth. The moon offered awesome shadows to the white facade, and you got that feeling of being stranded in some Mediterranean island. Tons of people on the street and even inside the church, doing some tour at night (the festival lasts some days). I like the aesthetics of the place with those colorful vitrals and the wood work, the peace and the smell. I could feel the sense of community of first and second generations of Greek-Sanjoseans enjoying their language, food and music together with other locals and foreigners. The priests seem to be very cool in here, all dancing outside and taking pictures with their ipads while enjoying some baklavas. Loved the atmosphere and feel like retaking my ancient Greek classes just because.
