We parked as they were getting in their car to leave. They were so sweet. They got out of the car and opened up the store so we could look around. The farm is absolutely meticulously maintained. I notice those little details and clearly, they take them serious. Great flavor to the bread, a dense bread with good crumb, with a heavy "everything" exterior seasoning that was wonderful! The second loaf is a Jalapeno cheddar. It has a white flour bread base so a lighter density and negligible crumb. The jalapeño and cheddar were barely there. Just on the exterior of the loaf. Still made decent toast.

I liked that I was able to compare before I bought a whole bag. Prices were very reasonable here. They were either cheaper or spot on as to other touristy places we stopped at. All of the cherry preserves, jams, salsas, pie filling, candy, etc. you could want that make Door County famous. They also were selling a number of autumn decor like gourds and pumpkins. There was a playground for the kids to play on but not much else like you might find at other orchards. This one is a working orchard and the biggest draw is the chance to pick your own fruit. Even still, it was worth the visit.

Had a bad experience here on the 4th of July, we were staying at a friends house right across the…read morestreet on Walker road for the holiday, we decided to spend a few hours taking the kid's Cherry Picking seeing the street was lined with signs and flags inviting people to stop in, well to my surprise we drove across this small road on a 4 wheeler to make sure they would be open and we couldn't find anyone, no biggie, it's a big property and they might be off helping others pick cherries, we drove back and were stopped as we left by someone else on a 4 wheeler, nice he noticed us and drove right over to help, not exactly, he actually scolded us for driving on HIS property where the signs were asking us to come in, I thought for sure he misunderstood and explained I was just asking about hours and we're neighbors, he said it doesn't matter I'm doing exactly what the owner told me to do, please stay off our property, I was speechless as I had my friends 4 year old son in my lap so I just said no worries and drove off. Not only do they have signs inviting you to stop and pick cherries, but the property he's talking about was 10 feet inside the street that's not even their property it's the states, keep in mind this is the only time I've experienced anything negative anbout Door County in all the years I've been coming here, and it's another local that pissed me off and didn't even care, this is not a big corporate business It's a neighbor that obviously doesn't need or appreciate the business, we gladly went into town to a closed bank parking lot and gave a local farmer our hard earned money at their market,

The restaurant area was inside of a barn, which looked pretty rustic and neat, but I asked about getting a turkey sandwich plain for my son and was met with a flat "no." I went out to confer with my family, came back to order a ham/cherry mustard/swiss sandwich to go. I waited 30 minutes and when I went back to check in case they forgot, I was told "if you would have ordered at the time you first came in, it would have been out already, but another family came in first, so you'll have to wait longer." I waited an additional 10 minutes, and when I received my sandwich, no apologies, no "have a nice day." I thanked the employee and went about my way. I'm not one to leave negative feedback, but it's warranted to inform others of the lackluster attitude of employees. Check out the lavender labyrinth, as it was awesome, but I won't go out of my way to check this farm and market out again.
