Always have great service. Quality is good. One time I told them I needed to have a pedicure and dip nails and they said I could come in. I have mixed feelings about this nail salon. The finished manicure looked good, but I had to say NO to at least 4 upsell attempts and when I refused the $35 gel nail polish, the beautician told me the color will come off in just a few days if I don't pay the $15 extra. I suspect they add acetone to the nail polish to make it chip. However, I ALWAYS go over my manicure with OPI Top Coat and it lasted for 3 weeks, same as gel. They also weren't friendly because I wasn't spending much. The hand massage was weak. No hot towels. Yeah, I wasn't happy. I will say the pedicure area was packed with both women and men because their pedicure price is $10 less than everywhere else. Maybe I'll go back to try a pedicure and review again? read more

I left with color on all my fingers and so upset I will never return. Stopped on my way home to have my nails redone and that was the ladt straw for me. I paid $50 for a pedi and came home with feet that looked like they haven't been touched in a year! The lady left blotches of skin and the polish looks like a 10 year old did it! I came to get a pedicure, everything was going well. I asked the person doing my pedicure to put a design on my big toe. He stated that he will get someone to do it. He later came back and said that in order to put a design on my big toe I would have to wait for it to dry completely dry so he couldn't do it. He took me up front for my nails to dry. Then to cover his but he had a lady explain to me the reason they couldn't do a design was because the nail polish is wet, the lady then stated that she could do a design it was gel nail polish. I got my first set of gel nails there and through out a week they were all breaking in half and falling off; the quality is horrible, the products they have are obviously faulty. I also asked for a simple cheetah design and it took three people to do it and it still wasn't what I wanted. This was the worst pedicure I've had. The young guy in there is lazy. Barely any nail filing and after a paraffin wax I had to finish cleaning the wax off before I could put my shoes on. Not to mention the massage with hot stones was the equivalent of a few pats. read more

Love this nail salon! I've been all over Spring Hill looking for the best salon and this one never disappoints. I've gotten a regular manicure, pedicure, acrylic full set, and sns dip manicure and was impressed with all of them. All the nail techs are so sweet and charge really fair prices for their services. I thought i would go to get myself pampered but i was completely wrong. I was a walk-in and i asked for a manicure with regular polish and a gel manicure. I wanted a natural pink color for my mani and a pink for my pedi. I had to tell her 5 times that i didn't want the 50$ pedicure. She was up selling so hard that it made me feel uncomfortable. When she started doing my pedicure she complained to me saying i have too much buildup on my nails and that the 50$ pedicure would help. After my pedicure was done (which wasn't amazing) we moved to do my nails. I asked her how many coats of the pink she is doing and she said 2, i asked her for 3 so it could be slightly more opaque. She told me it wouldn't look good with 3 coats. I told her i wanted the 3 coats and she said okay but it looks better with 2. Ummm okay? My nails were not shaped properly and she used a very coarse nail file on my natural nails. Once she started the gel my nails kept burning every time i went to cure them and when i mentioned it she said it was normal for a few seconds, i told her no i have gel on my skin and it's curing on my skin that's why it's burning. By the time we were done i went up to pay and i really looked at my nails and they were horrible, i pointed out the gel on my skin, all over my cuticles, under my nails and how misshaped my nails were. She sat me back down to "fix" it. She proceeds to starts filing the gel off my skin and cuticles which then made them bleed. After ten mins of this i said i would really like to just talk to the manager and she said fine wait till she's done with her customer. So i waited and then the manager started to "fix" them. By this time i was so done and just wanted her to soak off the gel polish so i could leave. She told me that if it starts chipping or peeling in a week to come back and they would fix it.... FOR 10$! I was livid, why would i go back when they already messed them up. Let's just say this is my first time getting my nails done in Spring Hill since i moved from south Florida and it was the worst manicure i have ever gotten. I did notice that not every nail tech is bad so if you do go there and you have a regular tech then I'm sure they are great. But as a walk in you risk it read more

I am so sad I used to really love this place but I just can't get over the experience that I just had with the lady that just waxed me... this lady first off didn't put the baby powder on my lip when I told her clearly to put that on there because my skin is extremely sensitive she put wax on my lip then ripped the thing off then put baby powder on my lip and then re-wax the same right side then that's not the best part after she waxed me she put hand sanitizer on my lip which contains alcohol...that's like putting alcohol into a brand-new fresh cut it hurts like hell.. That's not even the best part she then wiped off the hand sanitizer put aloe on my lip and then wiped it off with spray alcohol ....now tomorrow I have a big event to go to because it's Fourth of July ....my lip is completely swollen up and it looks like she burnt off the first layer of my skin I am so upset.. read more

I stopped in because I heard they had a new owner named Alex. So I thought, here's hoping they are back to being good like when they first opened........ Did I say hope?......because the joke was on me. I STRONGLY encourage you NOT to visit this salon! Alex actually did my nails. My gel manicure chipped and started fading inside of a week! I went in to show them and they refused to repair the problem. I solved my problem a different way. Here's the bad part, i should have walked away when Alex bad mouthed another nail salon & the employee. I did some digging and found out that Alex not only is NOT the owner of the salon but that he was fired from another salon prior to landing at Orchid Nails. In talking with my friends, Orchid nails has 2 other employees that also are undertrained and mistakes happen. Ladies and Gents, when it comes to good hygiene and safety, these folks aren't it. I went there this morning for a pedicure. I was told it would be a couple of minutes. I was told to sit in a chair and someone would be with me shortly. I waited over 30 minutes. They didn't think to fill the basin so that I could soak. I finally got fed up and left. As I was walking out the door someone said that they will are ready for me. I said forget it. I believe this is very poor management. Another time I went there and all I wanted was a manicure. No dip or gel, just a plain mani. The owner told me they don't do that. WHATTTTT? Orchid Nails is owned and operated by the sweetest and most accommodating couple. Before I get into services, I want to share that unlike most other nail salons, you will not find caddy chatter or inappropriate conversations amongst the technicians or the clients. To me, this is important as I left two other salons for those reasons. Nasty technicians and clientele can ruin a good nail spa experience faster than anything. Also, if you call and make an appointment, they honor that appointment (unlike many salons who take walk-ins despite having another client 20 minutes later!) Beginning with the salon's pedicure room; it is very clean and after each pedi, the technician scrubs each basin before moving on to the next client. It is tastefully decorated with new comfortable leather massage chairs and soothing & modern lighting. Their pedicures range in pricing but begin at $35 for a "deluxe." All pedicures include a hot stone treatment and they are divine! I'm not too familiar with their finger nail services but my mother quickly became a fan of their quality work. In addition to nail services, they have a full time esthetician for facials. I've had several facials at other spas but Ginny at Orchid is by far my favorite. I have been to so many nail salons over the past 12 years and they are by far the best I've ever been to. They are my go to nail salon and I will never go anywhere else. I visited Orchid Nails the other day and I was highly impressed! I had a pedicure, eyebrow wax and gel nail set with Lee. All were fantastic! She took great care of me. The place is so nice with all brand new equipment and furniture. They offer a wide variety of services including permanent makeup and eyelash extensions. FYI: They are right in front of Kohls, by the hair salon and Sprint store. The address is Aerial Way, but they're facing SHD. I'm very picky and I was blown away by how much time she took to make them perfect.
