BBQ Pork Roll Bread: Can be a little hit and miss depending on how busy the rush is but even though it may not be always crunchy its definetely fresh and fluffy. Fillings: Beautiful fresh hot Roasted Pork. I think its pork shoulder. Perfectly seasoned and juicy. Never dry and overcooked. Nice dried pork crackle compliments the meat. Vegetables: Not overly packed out with carrot as many places do to fill the roll out. The carrot is pickled nicely. Also some pickled and fresh crunchy cucumber, and a very thick stem of spring onion gives a nice heat to go with the cucumer. Chilli: Always a good amount of birds eye chilli throughout the roll. Dont have to ask for extra. At least a piece in every bite to feel that burn. Value: $8.50 for a BBQ pork, $6.50 for a standard Bahn Mi. $4.00 for a 600ml coke. Getting a meal for $20 is hard to beat nowadays, so to get two rolls and a drink that fills you up until dinner with change from a $20 Overall: An excellent Vietnamese Bakery in Regent Park/Bamkstown region. Worth stopping off to try their fare. Staff are lovely and friendly, if a little frantic during the busy times. I havent reviewed their standard Bahn Mi (photo attached) but its much the same. It's a fairly decent sized space with some seating outside, being right next to a public park is good and bad for parking. The service is always friendly and accommodating depending on your group size, probably best to call ahead of time for large groups as its big enough to be a cafe but not large enough to be classified a restaurant in Sydney. All the produce used in the food is fresh and most likely of organic origins (which I'm guessing on the decor and vibe). Simple and clear menu has some classics like a Chicken Schnitzel but done with a humble salad and chipotle that transports your tastebuds. Breakfast has some healthy-ish options but these are taken in consideration with the core component of the meal. Take the Bacon and Egg Roll, it's served as a burger and the barbecue sauce commands the dish. Cakes and pastry is sold as eat-in and take away items (which change every so often), coffee and milkshakes as well. The gingerbread is a favourite of mine - super refreshing for the sinus. At the end of the day, this is a humble little place that 's rustic feel and pastel interiors make it feel homely and the food cements this feeling. A place to return for sure.

Bitter. Not that nice but meh. Again it was the pastries. Chai latte was pretty gross. Too sweet, powder not mixed in. Don't recommend at all. Curious I decided to turn and drive into the suburban street where there are 6 shops next to each other. Besides the butcher the bakery was the only shop open. Walking in the aroma of fresh baked bread and other goodies filled the air. A couple of shelves of bread and a table with various baked goods from muffins and croissants to Almond horseshoes and pastries. I love pretzels (and they make a couple of styles) and most of the ones I see at the mall are either hard and dried, out or greasy and buttery. These pretzels on the other hand were fresh and baked with just enough sea salt to give it a little bit of flavor. This also seems to be the local spot for coffee. In the back they sold a number of German goodies, which added to the authenticity of the place.

Last time I had a pizzetta with salad and a coffee. I don't know which brand they use but it's 'lush'. There are no downsides to Locantro, you just have to walk a little further.
