Tubes are $25 for a day rental! They are nice, heavy duty red tubes and have handles. Pickup is in his garage/driveway and pickup was so easy! You can take the tubes wherever you want which is nice. They're super easy to blow up and have a mesh bottom to hold your belongings close by/shield your bum from rocks. He gave us a hand pump to use to blow them up when we arrive at our location. Drop off was just as easy, we texted him when we were 5 minutes away and he came outside when we needed to drop off! Would definitely rent from him again if we are ever in the area! read more

We rented six tubes from Bryan on the Fourth of July. I thought we were going to be an hour early picking them up than we scheduled. I called Bryan and he was totally fine with us being early. It ended up taking us an hour longer than we thought to drop our car off at Barton Park. But Bryan was waiting for us when we got there. The process was very easy and fast. He had everything ready for us and offered us life jackets since we didn't have quite enough for our group. The tubes were a lot of fun and held up, even going over some parts that were shallow and rocky. We will rent from Bryan again if we float the river again. Great experience! read more

Very happy with our rentals. I arranged a family trip to Beaverton for my dads 70th and thought River tubing was a good activity for our group ages 16 to 70. I was concerned about picking up and transporting the tubes ourselves - don't be. You either get a hand or an electric tube depending on how many you rent which are easy to fill and deflate. Cell phone service on the Clackamas River is very spotty so recommend having a plan in place before you go - we got in at McIver and got out at Barton. The ORR website said 3 to 4 hours but it took us 5 to 6. My brother and one of the kids drove to Barton and dropped their cars off so they were able to then drive us back to McIver to get our cars at the end - which was a good idea for us. ORR, where you pick up and drop off the tubes, does not have public restrooms but there is a service/rest stop fairly close drive. read more

I'm torn writing a review because I would prefer no one else discover this place so I can get my rafts and kayaks anytime without them being booked up. But it's so by far the best rental place I've ever used and they're so nice to boot that I have to. The compromise is that I'm not going to tell you why they're so good. 5 stars, no question, but you'll probably just want to go elsewhere and rent from a place that takes longer and involves more hassle with more worn out gear. Fab day floating for hours on the Calackamas with our tube rentals. Very easy to pick up/ drop off/ inflate etc. Definitely need to pack a wet bag to attatch to the tube to store personal belongings and also bring a spare rope if you want to tie the tubes together. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Me and Shanel S. went on our long-awaited trip to Portland this past weekend, and this was DEFINITELY the highlight! A few months prior to the rental date, I had already put the Tomcat Tandem deposit on my paypal account. Bryan called me a few days later to let me know he released the deposit so that I would not have the hold on my card for so long. Thanks, Bryan! Throughout the months, he was super quick to respond to my 1,000 e-mails with full detailed answers to all of my questions. Once the date came closer, Bryan was great to suggest some routes for us beginners new to white water. We told him we would come by at 8am to pick up the gear and head out to the Clackamas River!! Come Saturday, we were exhausted and didn't think we could make the trek out there quite so early. I called Bryan and he was very accommodating and understanding, stating that he wouldn't be there at the time we were coming by (10am), but our gear and release form would be right by the house waiting for us. The drive was only 15-20 minutes from downtown Portland, and the house was incredibly easy to find! All the gear was there as promised, and all fit in the trunk of our rental car. We drove to Barton Park where we were putting in, and Bryan had suggested a shuttle service to bring our car to the take out point (Carver). We called from the parking lot and spoke with Teresa who set everything up for us. We pumped the boat in about 10 minutes by hand and installed the seats. Everything was really easy. We carried the boat down to the river and began our journey! Barton to Carver was the perfect run for beginners! It took us about two hours, and it was a good mix of fun rapids and easy flowing water. We had such an incredible time! We never felt overwhelmed by the rapids, but never were bored or felt like we could be doing something more exciting. Once the day was over, we headed back to return the equipment to the house. Very easy, and the deposit was returned to my card the same day. In conclusion: Amazing service, great people, great equipment, great experience. I will definitely rent again when I am back in Portland!! read more

5 star service! Lisa H did all the reserving but I saw how helpful Brian was to her. She emailed him back and forth a few times and he was very efficient in answering all questions. He suggested a Class 1-2 river and it was perfect for us. We decided to kayak the Clackamas River from Barton to Carver. We changed our time last minute and Brian still had everything set up for us to pick up at the new time. Everything was packed nicely and the house was really easy to find as well as the stuff to kayak with. It was very easy for two girls to manage. i was able to inflate the kayak myself in under ten minutes. You do need two people though to close the clasp that holds the air in. I found that a tad difficult to do fast enough alone. The kayak itself was really nice and perfect for the both of us. I'm glad we decided on the tandem kayak. It was such a fun experience that I already booked a kayaking trip here where I live in San Diego. I highly recommend you doing this through them and leaving the city. It is breathtaking. read more

My boyfriend and I rented 2 sawtooth kayaks from Brian. We had the most amazing time! Took them to sparks lake, loaded them with gear, and camped in an area only accessible by boat! The kayaks were very easy to inflate and steer. Very comfortable too! They came with everything you would need (life jackets, pumps, patch kit, and invasive species permit). Brian recommended these kayaks based on the type of kayaking we were doing and our plans. He was so accommodating and helpful. I can't say enough about how amazing ORR and Bryan are!! I just discovered SUP Boarding and ORR have been there to provide me with the slice of summer enjoyment that I need. They are super receptive via phone and great with pick up and drop off. If you plan ahead the process is even more efficient but they have also been great about last minute rental (really just call). As an added bonus they are located in the perfect location if you are traveling to Mt. Hood (Trillium Lake) or if your head towards the Mt. Hood forest (Estacada). They have all you need and I would say its better to just reserve from ORR and head out! Finally, the cost/value is perfect as well. I drive 20-30 mins out of my way to pick up equipment from ORR because they are just that good. Bryan, thank you for being amazing and I cant wait to come back!!! read more

It was so awesome and straight forward to rent from here. We booked on Tuesday for the following weekend and got a response in a couple of hours confirming our reservation for 5 river floats. We were even able to add one more float at the last minute on Thursday night. Bryan even threw in an electric pump that we could hook up to our car and fill the tubes with! The pick up and drop off was seamless. We were allowed to drop off until 9 PM which was awesome cause most other places request to drop off by 6 or 7 PM which is too early if you start a float in in the afternoon time.
