I have been using Oregon Taxi for a while through their App and have been pretty pleased. There drivers are always pretty nice and they know Eugene well. But don't ever try to use their dispatch; dispatch has been offshored to the Philippines!! They completely messed up both the time and address of my pre-scheduled ride and this is after I repeated the information to dispatch twice. The drivers I dealt with were very apologetic, but having dispatch for a local taxi company offshored to the Philippines is crazy. I can't wait for Lyft and Uber to come to Eugene. When companies have virtual monopolies, we are the ones who pay. I expect better customer service out of my local taxi company than I get from Comcast! read more

We booked a ride to the airport, 3 days in advance, for 4:15 AM. The driver arrived 15 minutes late, through no fault of her own: the company pinged her at 4:05 when she was 22 minutes from my house, to notify her of the ride. She was friendly, clean, and polite, and ran red lights rushing to get us quickly and take us to the airport, so we have no qualms about the driver. However, her tardiness caused us to miss the checked bag cutoff time, which meant we had to completely reschedule our flight for later that day. This was incredibly frustrating, and trying to submit a complaint on their online form won't go through due to captcha issues. Guess I'll be calling, though Yelp reviews indicate I shouldn't expect them to make it right. read more

OR Taxi has gone drastically downhill in the last year. First things first, MOST of their drivers are fantastic, courteous, and competent. I've had drivers who help me load bags when I'm coming from the airport/train, give restaurant recommendations, and generally be nice people.However, in the last few months, I've noticed a trend of drivers who expect me to do their work - like telling them which routes to take and giving them directions to the destination. My thought is take whichever route is fastest and costs the least and put the destination in the GPS device that's sitting on your dash directly in front of you, but apparently some drivers don't think that's part of the service. As many people have said, the new dispatch service is the primary problem. I didn't realize they'd off-shored service as opposed to just hiring clueless newbies but that explains so much. Not only is there a big language barrier, the dispatchers are unable to provide insight about pickup/trip times, wait times, vehicle sizes, or anything you would expect a local company to know. I've had multiple times of calling ahead to reserve a cab (for doctor's appointments and travel reservations) only to have them not show up and when I call, the dispatcher is all "Oh, they're on their way, traffic's just bad. It'll be another 15-20 minutes" when traffic isn't bad at 4 in the morning (!) or just straight up not have dispatched anyone. Also, the app. The only reason I still use it is because then I can get screencaps of when I ordered the cab, what the estimated pickup time was, and how long it actually took. It's slow, it sucks more battery than Pokemon GO, and is generally buggy. However, I don't have to talk with the dispatchers if I use it so it's still an improvement. Anyone in City Hall who says we don't need Uber/Lyft has apparently never had to rely on taxis to get around. read more

This is, by far, the worst cab company I've ever used. There isn't any uber or lyft in Eugene and we had to use a cab 6 times. The dispatchers are the problem. They BARELY speak any English and they are very hard to understand and they are not from the area so they have no idea what you are asking. The drivers were great except one lady who asked us for directions since she "wasn't" from there. We had to tell her to STOP when she passed the restaurant by two blocks. This cab company should go out of business if its going to farm out its dispatch to a foreign country that is HORRIBLE. read more

These taxis are overpriced and far less appealing than Uber. The app was difficult to use also. I wouldn't recommend these taxis to anyone, but seeings how they're your only option in town, you will have no choice but to ride with them! It's 2018 get with the times. read more

Oregon Taxi was incredibly fast. In the middle of a friday night when other cabs said there would be a 15 minute wait, they were there in just a few minutes. The driver was incredibly friendly and we had a wonderful conversation. The driver also seemed to know the shortcuts in an out of the way part of the town that my family only found after living there for years. Overall it was a fantastic cab ride. The ride had the speed and service of a bigger city taxi company with all of the kindness and familiarity of a small one. I'll be calling them whenever I need a ride in the future. read more

They have outsourced their dispatch (which cool for supporting cheap labor in other countries! Eye roll) and I had to call 3 times before I got a person who could figure out what the mount pisgha arboretum was. There are weddings there every single weekend and they have signs everywhere with Oregon taxis number on it. Also got put on hold once while they tried figuring out what I was saying because they did not speak even English very well. They didn't even know what an arboretum was. Then my driver was just really annoying complaining about the drive the whole time. $40 dollars to Springfield. Ugh. read more

Inconsistent quality from helpful drivers to the guy I got tonight. I'm a 60 year old regular passenger. The driver tonight wasn't going to come to my pickup location but expected me to walk across a busy street, in the dark, in the rain to get in. Once he finally came over to get me, he started heading the wrong way. When I told him he was about to turn down a road that was going to take us farther from our destination and I had to tell him that. Passing by my office again I told h I was uncomfortable and needed to terminate the ride. He insisted that I pay him for coming out, parking on the other side of the street and getting himself turned around. When he stopped he refused to unlock the door until I paid him. Told him I would call his office. He then lied to the dispatcher saying there was a trailer in front, so he couldn't come get me. Said I changed my mind and refused to pay. Said loud enough for them to hear 'stop lying' all the while I'm locked in the car. Said he would call the police, I asked him to please do because I was frightened. Told this to a supervisor and said she didn't know who to believe. Luckily he unlocked the door finally and I went back to my office to calm down. No solution was reached. Scary. read more

*the several times that my disabled husband has needed a cab via ride source, the dispatcher has been rude to him. my husband uses oxygen due to copd and asthma. he also uses a cane/walking stick for balance. theres times that my husband is a little slow because of his health issues due to his breathing problems and he had to call dispatch for a 15-20 min later pick up time due to an asthma attack. the dispatcher is often rude and disrespectful to him. saying "I cant keep having you change the time of your pick up you need to call the night before if you are gonna be running late." please tell me how in the heck can he schedule an asthma attack the night before!! asthma attacks happen randomly you cant predict one they just happen!! *where is the logic and common sense in that way of thinking? read more

My husband and I set up a pick up time at 6am the evening prior to have the taxi take us to the airport in Eugene. We called at 6am that morning again to confirm that they would be coming and they hadn't shown up by 6:15. Leading us to be late to the airport. Thanks a lot Oregon Taxi. Definitely the WORST most UNRELIABLE taxi service in town. The taxi drivers are way more concerned about collecting fairs from drunk college students than actually picking up paying customers. More than once have I had a taxi dispatched to my house only to have said Taxi turn around and leave instead of actually alerting me to being outside. The dispatchers conveniently pretend to not remember your number and/or address when you call in to ask why your cab has not arrived. Definitely not impressed, would not recommend. read more

COMPLETELY UNRELIABLE-The worst, these people cost me $400.00 when they didn't show up to give me a ride to the airport causing me to miss my flight. I called the day before and made arrangement to be picked up with a little extra time to be there. I got a text about 20 minutes before pick up time assuring me they were on the way. After they were 15 minutes late I called to make sure they were coming, they arrived me they were on route and would be there within a few minutes. After 30 minutes I frantically called wondering what happened-they told me they were "on the way". In a panic I jumped in my own vehicle and sped the whole way to the airport hoping I could somehow make my check-in and eat the parking fee. Check-in was already closed and I was forced to book a replacement flight the next day at a cost of $400.00 added fees, also missing a full 24 hours of my Hawaiian Vacation. Here's the best part when I called the manager Jay Mayernik he had the nerve to tell me they picked up someone else on my street instead of me, which was a total lie, they didn't "pick up a small Asian girl" on my street and I know that because I live on a dead end With only a few houses on it, can see 1/4 mile down my road out of my front window and to top off the lie there is NO Asian girl living my street-I was watching out my front window the entire time in a panic waiting for Oregon Taxi. This Jay Mayernik the manager promised he would "talk with the owners and get back with me" about compensation for the $400.00 this cost me. Mr. Mayernick failed to follow through of course. I wanted my $$ refunded after they had abused me verbally when i had called 4 times after driver stole my charger i had just purchased at Walgreens, then left me at Motel 6, were I was assaulted and KICKED by Springfield PD. We used to call Oregon Taxi all the time but our last experience has kept us from calling them ever again. Our driver was very homophobic, despite my partner and I being very gay and getting a ride to the wayward lamb, aka the gay bar. Either he didn't connect the dots, or just didn't care. Ok I didn't want to have to do this but someone has to.. Charged me the wrong rate (4.50 flag drop instead of 3.00 as it says on website). Car was really disgusting to put it mildly and the driver went the wrong way which charged me more. If you try to contact them on their website their captcha doesn't work and you cannot send them a message at all. FYI door mats belong at your home, not as car mats. I have been a happy customer for two + years. Recently, in my last two trips to and from the airport, even though I had called a week in advance to reserve, no taxi was sent to pick me up from airport. I had to take another taxi from the line of taxis at airport. Another time, I told Oregon taxi my plane was coming back at 10:25 PM and I wanted a taxi to pick me up at the airport at that time. They sent me a taxi to pick me up at 10:25 AM ( I know because the taxi called me that morning, when my plane had not yet left) . I called them that same morning - to clarify the mistake and REMIND THEM I was arriving that same NIGHT at 10:35 PM. They said they would have a taxi waiting for me that night. NO TAXI from Oregon taxi was waiting for me at airport. After half an hour of waiting for their taxi, I had to leave again with another taxi company. It is unfortunate they have become too unreliable for me to continue with their service. They have the largest fleet of taxis......they also have the largest prices, and sometimes they don't answer the phone, sometimes they don't pick you up, but it is the best cab you can get until Uber finally arrives in Eugene. Most cabs only have a few cars so they can't quite compete. They have an app that works sometimes. You can see the cab round the corner to pick you up and charge flag drop of 4 dollars to get downtown to barger cost about 25 dollars. I work at a hotel and frequently USED this service for our guests to get around town. The staff are uncaring, rude and ungrateful. They seem to have been having problems with drivers showing up on time and when you call for the ETA they quickly try to hang up on you, when people are on their way to the airport time matters. I understand that they probably get calls frequently with unhappy customers but there is no reason to take it out on the next person who is trying to use your service. I will never call this service again for any of our guests. Side note: This is not an isolated incident, it's a frequent thing I have come across with them. read more

I have used Oregon Taxi on two occasions and had a different experience on each occasion. The first time I used Oregon Taxi was about a year and a half ago for a trip from downtown Eugene to the Eugene Airport. I called for the taxi and it arrived within about 5 minuets of my call (they estimated the arrival to be 10-15 mins). The driver was nice (not too talkative) and very quick getting to the airport. At the time there was a set price for trips to the airport for most of Eugene (they quoted the price on the phone) although I am unable to recall what the price was it was average for the trip. On the second occasion (January '09) I experienced a much different trip. This time I was traveling with a friend form the Amtrak station in downtown Eugene to a house in south Eugene. There were already taxis waiting for the train that had arrived and we took one of these. The driver did not get out of the taxi to help with our luggage and had to be asked to open the rear hatch for out bags. I told the driver the address along with cross street. The driver then proceeded east on 6th street (not my preferred route but to each their own) and only after going several blocks past Jefferson did I notice that he was not turning to head south (he was now going further away from my destination along Jefferson st.). After reminding him of the address again he seemed to remember where it was and turned heading in the correct direction along a back street with many stop signs. Again when arriving he did not offer any assistance with luggage nor did he offer a discount or even apology for the detour. If you do use this taxi company and are unfamiliar with Eugene, I would highly recommend that you know the general area where you are going and route to get there so you are not taken advantage of. read more

Used six times to get to the airport and had great success. Recently, called forty-five minutes in advance to get a ride in town and had awful experience. They were thirty minutes late and each time I called to check out their ETA, the dispatcher lied to me! "They are on X street;" "The car broke down," etc. Unbelievable! When we called the company back to complain that we had been taken to the wrong place they didn't apologize or offer to take us to the right or reimburse our travel. Two days prior to travel I made a reservation on Oregon Taxi app for a pickup to go to airport for Thanksgiving vacation. I got a confirmation on the app. Our pickup was for 4:00 pm and when it was 4:05 I went to my email and realized I never got an email confirmation. ( my bad) On the app ( which I had never used before) it showed my pickup under history with a red minus sign. I called them and after being on hold for 5:00 minutes I got a gal on the phone who said "we had so many pickups we had to cancel some reservations" I said that obviously ours was cancelled and she said yes. I asked why there was no message back telling us of the cancellation. She said " I don't know".By now it is 4:30 and we need to get to airport. Worst service ever!! WHY DON'T WE HAVE UBER!!
