Beware of being assigned to Erwin Ponraj as your anesthesiologist, as he is unprofessional…read more I was scheduled for surgery at this facility, and requested to speak to the anesthesiologist before the operation took place. They told me that I would have to contact the Organ Anesthesiologist Group (OAG) to find that information. Right away that seemed like a red flag, as a hospital should know who the doctors working on a patient will be. The OAG told me that the assigned anesthesiologist could only contact me 24 hours before the surgery. This seemed last minute but I had no choice but to accept. I waited the entire day before the surgery and finally got a call at 7:15PM at night from the Erwin Ponraj, after I had already decided to cancel the surgery because of not hearing from them. The fact that Erwin Ponraj waited until nighttime to contact me, instead of regular business hours, shows that he has poor time management and lacks discipline. I would not trust someone like that to perform anesthesia on me during operation. No doctor would take a call from patients at that late hour, so I don't know what he was thinking calling patients that late.

In addition to this, the kind woman on the phone verified that they do, in fact ONLY CHARGE PRIVATE INSURANCE HOLDERS TO COMPLETE ANY FMLA/ACCOMMODATIONS PAPERWORK. $20 PER form. They DO NOT charge state insurance holders. Discriminatory much?! This information is not given when establishing prenatal care in any of their forms to the patient. This information is also not stated or written anywhere inside of their medical offices. There is no transparency. I am unsure if this would be considered under the federal transparency act, but I'm currently digging into it to find out. There is no reason this should happen to any patient, especially when pregnancy is already stressful enough.

You won't find anyone faithful to the Hippocratic Oath anywhere near this place…read more I have been in a lot of pain for over a month waiting to get in for an EMG. I called every other day for weeks to see if they could get me in earlier. When the day of my appointment finally arrived my husband and I hopped in the car and headed out at 7:30am. Halfway there I called just to confirm. I was informed that they cancelled my appointment because they could not verify that I had insurance. WHAT?!? It actually took a minute to register what I was being told. For a second I thought the receptionist was joking. Especially since she didnt know what day it was and had told me that I was a day late to my appointment. After telling her what day it actually was she then said Yes my appointment was today but so sorry we cancelled it. As the conversation progressed I had the feeling as if i was being blamed for someone else's mistake. I had my insurance card in my hand while she kept insisting that No I was not insured. She also told me that they had called me multiple times about my insurance but I went through my phone and found no evidence of any calls. Maybe they went to spam and I didn't realize it. So does that mean if you have a fierce spam filter on your phone then you can't ever make appointments at this place? Oh and big surprise, after telling her that I most definitely have health insurance and maybe I should just read the number to her....turns out they had the wrong insurance information. My doctor sent all of my records over. There is no reason other than negligence that my information would be wrong. It begs to reason that If you can not get a hold of me then call my doctors office. They have everything you need. If appointments are being booked over a month out maybe make a little bit of an effort for the well being of your patients. What really bothers me is why wasn't I told during one of the many phone calls I made to this office that I needed to verify my insurance or my appointment would be cancelled with out my knowledge? I think someone lost or deleted my appointment and then tried to cover it up. It just seems really sketchy, Usually you bring all of your info to your appointment and if there are any issues they are taken care of then and there. Especially if it is your first visit to that office. I have never heard of your first appointment being cancelled because of non verification of insurance . Is that even legal? My lawyers are working on it. The reason that I am so upset about this is because I need an EMG in order to have surgery that will take pressure of a very painfully inflamed nerve. The next appointment I could get is 6 weeks from now. I can not wait that long. If I am forced to wait there is an almost 100 percent chance that I will suffer from permanent nerve damage. Just to be clear....I will have PERMANENT NERVE DAMAGE DUE TO THEIR GROSS NEGLIGENCE because someone screwed up my insurance information.

Never listened to me about my injury and never believed I was in any pain at all. I suffered a career ending work related injury and I had to retire prematurely. A few other doctors saw me including my employer paid doctor and they all agreed that I was not ready to return to work when he had released me to full duty no restrictions. The bad news is I chose him, not assigned to him. Possibly if he had listened to me I might have fully recovered from my injury. We will never know.

I had heard good things about this practice, so I was looking forward to my appointment…read more That's when my daughter (who went to the visit with me) and I met Thomas F Schrattenholzer, MD at Legacy Pain Management Center. This doctor did not look at my knee (CRPS) or my back (spinal stenosis, etc.). He did not do any type of exam. Usually, you are asked to walk, bend, flex, etc. This physician did nothing. He stayed across the exam room from me the whole time. During the visit, I was told that because of my insurance (which his office and several other of my medical team accept), none of the treatments they offer for my condition could be done. I went into a pain management office and left demoralized. The condition I have is nicknamed "the suicide disease" because of the amount of physical pain it causes. Thomas F Schrattenholzer, MD at Legacy Pain Management Center, is not a person to go to for pain.

This is all scheduled between 1:00 and 5:00 p.m. with transportation arrangements made accordingly. Checking in I was told that the appointment scheduled had been canceled. Cancelled. Why!? I knew that I was f*****. My whole day. As a result of the cancellation, radiology was able to fit me in an hour later at 2:00. The procedure I thought required general anesthesia I was misinformed did not It was local lanocane. So that means I was done a lot earlier. At 3:00. 2 hours ahead of schedule. Now I cannot reach My Ride to pick me up. I didn't want to pay the $48 for a cab or $31 for an Uber. I finally got a hold of my ride. It was going to be a while so I thought screw it I'll just start walking home eventually I'll run into my ride and we'll be good to go. Walking up Burnside to Sandy. No water.
