This is a nice office that is only this practice. That's one main dentist and a whole bunch of…read morehygienists. Rosie is the hygienist I've been seeing and I've only ever once in my life have had as clean teeth as I have after my cleanings with her. The other time was abroad when I requested a deluxe cleaning. Dr. Trujillo is a fantastic and holistic dentist as is the rest of her team. They actually look at the whole picture of what's going on in your life too make sure you're getting good care. Rarely have I sat waiting for a long time for the doctor to come by or hygienists to coordinate with each other. They seem to be pretty efficient and still warm/kind. Their services are a little pricey (not sure if this is a standard cost that's changed in recent years) but they're very clear and up front about any and all costs. So be sure to check with insurance and their front desk and ask if anything is confusing. Plus we all know pricing is bc our healthcare system is busted, not bc of this practitioner ofc. Friendly staff and modern equipment. Plus the view any time they're not actually working on you is really nice! Dedicated parking and convenient location. Stop reading and start booking that cleaning you've been putting off!

When you first enter the offices of Dr. Bridget Burris, you may well believe "you have arrived."…read more Waiting my turn, I felt very "cared for," that the staff already had decided I was more than a client or patient, that I was welcomed as a dear friend. Of course, the dental procedures were of utmost importance, Including veneers, and crowns. I have since enjoyed a new sense of dental health, and the visual, cosmetic effect is quite an ego boost. How does one put a value on that? Ron H

TLDR version: this dentist will try to get as much money…read morefrom you as possible, and will also make you feel bad about your teeth, and cry. Worst dentist experience of my life. Run. Find someone else. Longer version with details: I went here as a new patient knowing that I needed some help with my teeth grinding and that I would need a cavity or two filled. The dental hygienist was very pleasant, but I felt like she was clearly looking for things to ring me up for. It took sooooo long (I was there a total of two hours -- and remember, this was for a preliminary cleaning, X-rays, etc; I didn't have any work done!). The hygienist pressured me to get a flouride bath (not covered by insurance), which she assigned a student to do, and then the hygienist left the room. AFTER this student took the trays out of my mouth, she told me that I couldn't eat or drink for 30 minutes after. I had been in this office for almost two hours, it was lunch time, and I was parched and hungry. I was like, "oh man, that would have been good to know *before* so I could have gotten a sip of water, because I've had tools in my mouth for almost two hours and I'm extremely thirsty." I was calm, but firm. She ignored me. Things got worse when Dr. Burris came in. She was extremely unpleasant (I reached out my hand and she clearly did not want to shake it). She was gruff and grumpy. Not personable, no bedside manners... no manners at all. She complained about Las Cruces. She tried to pressure me into buying a TWO THOUSAND DOLLAR mouth guard for my grinding, and repeatedly tried to push some vague "therapy" that she offers to help stop grinding. She told me that my teeth were crooked and that nothing that could be done about it, and that it would only get worse. (I believe she was trying to make me feel so bad about myself that I would throw a ton of money -- which I don't have-- at any possible solutions she was offering.) When the hygienist presented me with their "dental care plan" or whatever it's called that they had printed up for me, it included unnecessary procedures such as redundant X-rays and an estimated THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS of work. And this is *with* insurance factored in. When I saw their plan, I started to cry -- which I have never done in my entire adult life of regularly going to the dentist. The staff was cold and awkward. They offered multiple times to "work with me" by allowing me to get on their financing plan. The staff even tried to get me to pay for future procedures *in advance!* Um, NO. I am so glad that I requested my X-rays from this dentist's office, and made a new appointment for myself at a different, more ethical, less high-pressure dentist's office, WHICH I LOVE AND WILL FOREVER BE A REGULAR PATIENT OF. Since I switched, I have had all required procedures done at my new dentist's office and have paid only several hundred dollars (not the thousands Burris tried to charge me). My new dentist fixed the "crookedness" in my teeth (which Burris had made me feel so bad about and told me "nothing could be done about") by simply polishing it down to make both teeth even -- this was such a simple and short procedure that she did not charge me. My new dentist recommended a range of mouth guards and did not pressure me to choose the most expensive. Instead of the two thousand dollar guard (lol what) Burris tried to pressure me to buy, I am using a $400 custom retainer / mouth guard that is comfortable and works perfectly.
