We also split a Black and Blue Gorgonzola Cranberry salad in which the good-sized piece of steak was nicely charred, and tender, and the greens fresh and plentiful as was the cheese crumbles and bacon. What really made it delicious was the absolutely delicious balsamic vinaigrette (maybe the best I've ever had and that's saying a lot because I am a salad fanatic)! The waitress was very nice (though the other woman wasn't so friendly). The only thing that wasn't great the ambiance. The ceiling is so high and there was a table of four women who were so loud it was hard to have a conversation at our table of two, and no one else in the restaurant. This was the first pasty I tried where I could see the onions, so I picked them out when I came across them (my kryptonite). The steak was a little chewy, and the seasoning was almost undetectable. I traveled to Chicago with the pasties two weeks later and they were as good as made that day. One pastie fed two of us. I guess it is all about your appetite.
