I asked him to set them aside and I would send my husband (Mark) to pick them up.

After I told him what I needed he said go straight to the cashier tell them what you need and they will ring it up. Sure enough I did exactly what he said made my purchase and then followed the road to the back to pick up what I purchased. I wish I would have grabbed his name because he knew what I needed after in told him. Sure beats walking around the store aimlessly!

The orchid I chose at TLC had a couple of areas on the leaves that looked like cotton. I took it back to the information desk and the women wiped off the white area and told me it would be fine. My husband purchased the orchid for me for $60.00. Unfortunately, the white chalky substance kept coming back. I googled the information and found out it had mealybugs. I followed the directions to clean the area with alcohol. After trying to remove it for two months without success, I took the plant back to TLC today to ask for help. Paul, the manager was at the front door and told me to go to the middle of the store to talk to the woman at the information desk. She determined the mealybugs were in the potting media which is why I could not eliminate them with alcohol. She said she could repot the orchid but there would be a cost. Obviously, the potting media was infected when the orchid was purchased two months ago. I was insulted when told I would have to pay for the repotting process. I spoke with the manager, Paul, and he told me house plants do not have any type of warranty. I learned a lesson today. I will not buy house plants from TLC! I will buy them at a business that carries a warranty for a third of the cost! Susan M Reply to Frank on July 18 Frank, I would appreciate a retraction on your response. The orchid WAS purchased at TLC on May 6! The above story is accurate except for the amount spent ($50 instead of $60). I had not looked up the receipt before coming by TLC yesterday. The reference number on the receipt is 32073802. The total amount spent that day was $122.70. I have 6 very healthy orchids purchased at different locations. The white pot left with the orchid must have been switched while watering. The orchid purchased from Whole Foods is healthy and doing well. Actually, over the years I have never had a problem with an orchid being affected with mealybugs except for the orchid purchased at TLC. One statement you made is correct. This is the first review I have made on YELP because I wanted to let others know that customer service is questionable at your business. I understand policy is policy on the return of houseplants. I was not upset until being told there would be a charge to repot the plant. It didn't make sense for me as the customer, to pay to correct a problem that I wasn't responsible for. It would have cost very little for your employee to offer to repot the plant for free.

I just bought 3 tri color ornamental sweet potato vines. They cost $20. I do not recommend them for trees, though. I chose a beautiful willow tree. There was a freeze, and they asked to substitute it for a different willow. I agreed. It never did thrive and eventually died. They replaced it (which sounds great, but the tree is the cheap part - the labor is expensive!). The workers didn't use the fish emulsion - that I provided (Marcums said the fish emulsion should be mixed in when the tree was planted - and I wanted to give the willow the very best chance possible). This tree died, too. I think the hole they dug was WAY too small. We also got an Asian Pear tree with the first willow. It also died. It came up from below the graft line and is green and growing, but it is no longer an Asian Pear and doesn't fruit. We have spent almost $1,000 on these trees and have no willow at all, and whatever the root stock is for the Asian Pear. We paid the premium for them to plant the trees and guarantee them, but it did not work how I thought it would. Just go to Costco or a Farm Supply store, and do it yourself. Even if it doesn't live, you will only be out a little money.
