I'm so grateful to have found Sophia via Yelp!! She embodies the true meaning of the word "Godsend!" I have a relative that needed assistance with a move. Big issue is that he is partially paralyzed and he doesn't have a lot of mobility. Good friends and relatives had already done so much to help sort through clothing and possesions, pack and box. They were all tired and were not able to continue on with the unpacking and organization and settling-in process. When I was searching the internet for a Professional Organizer, I anticipated that it would be a lengthy process speaking to several to try to find the right fit that both my cousin and I would feel comfortable with. The first call I made was to Sophia and I felt so good afterwards that I didn't feel the need to look further! She's so easy to talk to and even though she has a very busy schedule, she made to time to meet with us in person to assess the situation. Sophia is so efficient that she immediately started thinking and came ready to do something, anything to help the move process go forth, even though we didn't expect her to do anything before the actual move started. After the move to the new place, Sophia was able to tackle the unpacking and organizing with just a few hours over two visits. She helped remove the empty boxes and everything looks so neat and organized! She worked closely with my cousin to make sure she put things that would be accessible for him and also in places that made sense, not just to her, but to him. After the move, my cousin couldn't remember where everything was and Sophia was fine having him call her to ask her where specific things were. Her brain is so sharp that she could remember exactly where they were and she was able to help him over the phone! Originally, my cousin was a bit hesitant to have to pay someone to help him with unpacking and organizing his place but he's now so grateful as Sophia got that job with minimal pain to him and without having to inconvenience friends and family for this task! I recently worked with Sophia on organizing my kitchen, pantry, guest bedroom and storage room. and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. Sophia is fantastic. Not only did she help us with unpacking and sorting out our move, but with consolidating two full-sized houses into one. We had our home here and all the stuff we'd acquired over the the past few years, but with most of our things still in storage in the mainland (we weren't sure if our move to Hawai'i would be permanent or not). We were finally ready to make Hawai'i our permanent home, and moved everything out to Honolulu. The thing is, I was already considering hiring a professional organizer just for all of the stuff we'd acquired while living here for a few years. I knew that with an entire additional house's worth of stuff coming, we needed some serious help. I went through various reviews and called a couple of organizers, and Sophia gave me the best vibe so I decided to try her out. Thank goodness I made that decision! Sophia came in and just *knew* exactly where everything should go. If I'm organizing, it's 15 minutes figuring out where to put a thing, and 5 seconds putting it there. With Sophia, it's just 5 seconds putting it there, because after she walks through your home and talks to you to get a sense of who you are and how you like things, she's already figured out what needs to happen. And then she just executes. Sophia works super hard. I got a full workout just keeping up with her. Now my home is fantastic, my wife is happy, and if something is laying out, I know where it goes. I'm not left in a situation where I'm leaving it as clutter because finding a place for it becomes a bigger headache because of all the other stuff crammed into places that didn't have a dedicated spot. Now, (as my mother would always say), there's a place for everything, and everything is in its place. I tell everyone that Sophia's organizational & decluttering skills are magic! I was feeling overwhelmed in a multigenerational home, and I felt embarrassed of our situation. If you're a busy person like me, let alone business owner, wife, mother, no time for any type of organizing then Sophia is who to call. There are no words that can express the appreciation we have for Sophia. Our house was out of flow, out of sync and just chaotic. Not worth the money. Will be told to do next session yourself. Everything looks the same except trash thrown out and some clearing on the floor. For $65 an hour. I could do that! I've had an organizer before that cleared two area in 2days. 4 hours each. Busy people need help. Response time is a positive tho. read more
