Ok Asian grocery store. It has a lot of choices but it has weird smell inside. Lives seafood has pretty good prices compare to Kroger. I don't think there are other Asian grocery in Jackson so this is the only choice.

    My purchase.

I was very, very impressed with the store except for an experience with who I believed to be their loss control. Which I will get to later. The store was well stocked, and it was bustling with customers. They do very brisk business. There was remodeling going on and unfortunately the restaurant was closed as it was filled with construction people. I absolutely loved their selection of produce, fish, poultry, beef and pork, and everything else. This place had many very authentic, difficult to find, items in their store. They had a large selection of products that simply are not carried in any other store anywhere else in Jackson. I was quite surprised to see much of the selection and it reminded me of the international farmers market outside of Atlanta, GA. However, although their selection was limited to Asian grocer items their selection was still very unique. They even had quail eggs. They have many items packed close together so you will spend a while browsing a single aisle as the selection is quite large. Everything appeared fresh. Although I did notice the majority of packaged products had labels that stated "California warning - THIS PACKAGING IS KNOWN TO CAUSE CANCER" or something similar. I saw that on so many items I couldn't understand why the suppliers just wouldn't use different packaging. I came to this store to buy Mochi Rice cakes which I believed their restaurant also cooks. However with the restaurant being out of commission due to the remodel I purchased the mochi but they were elongated and not in the customary square flat shape. I also took the opportunity to purchase fresh ginger and to my surprise the ginger here was much fresher than the ginger at the fancy Kroger in Madison, MS. I also purchased red bean paste mochi pastries, ramen, green tea, and some sort of drink I've never had before filled with collagen. I loved my experience in the store with the exception of a man pushing a buggy talking on his cellphone who followed me around the store. He was right at my back. At the time I was in the store I was the only black person in there (other than the guy) and he did not let up off of me. Everytime I would turn to look at him he appeared to be on his phone with one time he was starting directly at me. It was a hard fixated stare. He was a young African American man. Probably in his mid to late 20s. He was dressed business casual. Pushing a buggy the entire time. But he did not seem to be actively shopping. And again.. he stayed at my back the entire time. Every aisle I went on. He was there. When I would stop to look at merchandise. He stopped as well. He was very, very noticeable. I figured he was their loss control guy and I kept noticing him but I was so engaged in their merchandise I just didn't really focus on him. My items came up to around $21 dollars and some change and I thought that was so awesome. That was a very good price. In all I will be returning. Even with the aggressive loss control. It's unfortunate I was singled out. Being that I was the only black customer in the store at the time and he decided to follow me to the extent he did. Making it apparent he was monitoring me. I find that so unfortunate and silly. It's very 1930 - ish. And to think he, as a black man, wouldn't know better. There are many places he could go where he would be treated the same. If not worse. All because he's a black male. So one would think he would understand and not target me because I share the same skin as himself. If he thinks all blacks steal, what does he think of himself?

They're the only place in this region of Mississippi doing it like this. I have scavenged the land and this is the best Asian market shout out to them for existing

Omg, an authentic experience! I love the atmosphere of the restaurant in front of the market. A totally trippy experience for me...it was like I left Mississippi for an hour. The grocery seems rather large; I did not saunter through. I went for some yummy goodness, hot & ready! I ordered crab rangoon, which were plentiful, I couldn't eat them all. The crisp wontons and creamy filling caused me to moan, it was so good! Best crab rangoon I've had, hands down. I also feasted on sizzling beef short ribs, which is a great dish with red pepper, onion, asparagus and mushroom. It was served with steamed rice and was enough for two to dine on. The waitress and other staff were friendly and accomodating. I could see eating here often, as I don't cook.

First and foremost, you just dont know how amped I am for being the first one to review this place!!! I tried checkin' in via mobile yelp and couldn't because their info wasn't in the system, so I am uploading the info myself and proclaiming myself the Duke of Oriental Supermarket! Lol!! Anyway, its a grocery store/restaurant specializing in ethnic authentic chinese cuisine and by far, its authentic simply by the seasoning and items you see on the menu - seaweed, pork intestine, tripe, lobster, conch, roast duck, salted duck, seafood hot & sour soup, its and expansive list, but guess what my goal is to give dang near everything a try as long as their open for business! The prices are so/so, their not expensive like PF Chang, but their potions are not great on to-go orders, but the people I've seen eat there were loaded down with grub. The ladies that ring you up are pretty nice and real sweet. I've tried the shredded curry chicken, taiwanese rice noodles, beef broccoli, seafood hot & sour soup and their regular egg rolls. Been their two times in the last couple of weeks and I will probably be back in a few days to try something else. I've seen a very diverse crowd in their shopping for groceries too. As always, hope you give it a try and let me know how you like it.

Roasted duck. So good. If you buy the whole duck they will cut it up free of charge and give you everything. Yes that is duck head. Yum

Mr Chen you are my savior. I was born in China and my family came to the US and stayed in the California Bay Area to this day. Grew up grocery shopping with my mom in Chinese grocery stores for ingredients for all our meals. Needless to say, its hard to be without Chinese food for long and I like to cook sometimes. I used to live right across the highway from Mr. Chen. They are the only place in the Jackson area that I know of that carries the ChaCha brand sunflower seeds, its amazing. It's Thanksgiving, I'm on call for the weekend, so we came today to stock up on sunflower seeds and picked up a roasted duck, too. If you haven't had roasted duck before please give it a try. You have the opinion for half or a whole duck and they will cut it for you. Bargain! I like bargains.

Got to stop here recently and loved every part of it! Having been on a trip to China before, walking through the doors felt like I was transported back to one of my most treasured memories. The market has all you could want! The restaurant is great too with authentic dishes that are hard to find in the states. I can't wait to visit again!!

This supermarket is the biggest Asian supermarket you'll find in Mississippi. I come here whenever I'm cooking an Asian cuisine for dinner. They have all the spices and seasoning that I need in order to make my dishes.

    Taiwanese dumpling soup. Pretty good.

After eating the Chinese food here I was disappointed in how blah it was. But their attempt at authentic Chinese food is the closest around.
