It was cold and not the most relaxing environment. No doubt the grand design of the saloon attracts new clients, but I doubt there are many repeat customers! For an upmarket saloon in Chatswood Chase, the experience was quite dissapointing. The stylist was also a little rude and standoffish! Experience much better value for money somewhere else!

At no point did the person ask for my name or contact details. Then when I sat in the chair and asked for a hair cut I was told that he wasn't going to cut it as I asked because he didn't agree with what I wanted. After thirty years with my hair I think that I am well aware that my hair will become curly when cut short. At no point did he ask if I wanted a wash or blow dry. I had specifically not washed my hair that morning as I was expecting to get a wash at the salon. Instead he sprayed water onto my dirty hair and then waved the hair drier over it as the end. I asked for about 7-10cm to be cut and he cut about 2-3cm. He then told me that that was better than what I asked for. Since the cut my hair won't sit correctly at all. I have had many hair cuts but this one has made my hair unmanageable. I will never use these guys again.

The magazines are new (!) and what's more there's a good selection of trashy and trendy. So you'll have plenty of fashion to flip through as you while away an hour or so chatting with Paula as she expertly trims and styles your hair. Paula is a woman with a plan. Once she gets to know your hair, you may arrive for a trim, but if you happen to fancy a change she'll already have pictures and a whole new look in mind. Paula's consultations are as knowledgeable as they are sensible. You see, she knows I really can't be bothered styling my hair, so she's given me a cut that I only need to hang my head upside-down and blow-dry, and in two minutes it looks fabulous. And when the day comes that I fancy something different, I know Paula will already be two steps ahead of me.
