OIP is consistently good. They also are familiar with regular orders of locals. We've only had take out recently and they have a good variety of offerings. The pineapple and chicken is one of our go to's and it is always loaded with toppings. The white pizza is a nice alternative with tomato slices instead of tomato sauce. 2nd visit to the area & 2nd visit to this OIP - another good one! First time (a few years ago), I remember the takeaway being a great spaghetti dinner. On this visit (better documented), the stars of the show were a Stromboli & Chicken Cheesesteak (with mushrooms). Both were knocked out of the park! Typical unassuming downtown 'pizza joint' ....with great food. Service was great - typical casual dining. (I think I was even called 'hon' - it's a PA thing ;) Other diners appeared to be regulars - which would make sense for a small downtown, but have felt welcomed when here - OIP is on my list, next time I'm in town! read more

At the recommendation of my roommate, who has been a customer of this restaurant for years,we went there last Saturday night for dinner.It was abnsolutely terrific! From the fast and friendly service, the taste of the food, the portion sizes, and the taste. Spacious and clean dining room.n Reasonably priced with a huge menu full of Italian goodies. Man making the pizzas is a maestro of making pizzas. You can see the passion for his craft. The whole staff was working as a team and nobody went away hungry. Place wasn't even half full and we sat down, got drinks. Placed order. Sub and a salad. Waited 55 minutes. Wasn't offered refills, no bread came out and finally gave up. Paid for drinks (wasn't offered any comp for them so paid over $7 for 2 fountain drinks) and when slip pulled they hadn't even started our order. The best spot I found to eat! Everything was freshly baked in generous portions at reasonable prices. The people were kind and friendly. I was in town for 5 days and came here twice once I tried them. I tried the manicotti, pizza, zucchini fries, and mushrooms - delicious! The manicotti came with a salad side and nearly a loaf of bread - yes the bread was that huge, not just a breadstick. My only regret is that I didn't find this spot my first few days in town. Steak & cheese stromboli was delicious! I ordered medium size, and it was GIGANTIC, like 1.5 feet long. One half of it was enough for dinner. The bread was absolutely soft and fresh, and the inside filling was cheesy, thick, and satiating. Pasta! How do you mess up pasta. So over cooked and mushy. Sauce was ok, bread was ok. Also ordered a VEGGIE sub, now it's not on the menu but I was reassured they could make one, no mayo, no cheese, just veggies??? No, it came out with 2 different meats and cheese on it. Fantastic salads and meatballs! A definite plus that they will deliver right to your hotel room. I always enjoy ordering food from here when I'm in town on business. Depending on the day, time delivery may take up to 45 mins but it is well worth the wait in my opinion! Homemade bread loaf that comes with salads is excellent and house dressing is delicious with just the right spice blend. More people need to know about the glorious food of "OIP 22." In Huntingdon, there are two OIP, or "Original Italian Pizza" shops. There is one in the town proper, which has limited hours and a small menu. Then there's OIP 22, which is open until ten daily and has a huge menu. It's also creatively named for being right on Route 22. When I went to Juniata College, we ordered pizza from here at least once a week. The pies are a generous size and well-cooked. But my FAVORITE thing at OIP 22 is the lasagna. For ten dollars even you get a huge serving of the pasta, a side salad, and a LOAF of freshly-baked bread! For a dollar more you can add a large side of meatballs or sausage to go with the lasagna (although the pasta itself does have a meat sauce). In my opinion, the sauce is the best thing. It's slightly sweet and completely covers the pasta. After all that, they bake a thick layer of mozzarella on top. Brilliant. I've tried several of their other pastas and they are all top-notch as well. If you're ever in central PA, give OIP 22 a try! You won't be sorry! read more

3 of us ate about 5 PM on June 17, 2014 @ the RT. 22 location....it wasnt too crowded. We ordered a large vegetable pizza....it arrive luke warm & wasnt that good. My mother actually asked them to reheat hers before we could eat it.... The waitress messed up our drink orders....I had to get up and take my cup up for a refill.... When we went to pay, we tried to use a coupon for a FREE PIZZA....no stipulations....the guy behind the register was rude....said it was only valid for Cheese... I asked to speak to the owner/manager...he gave me the same response despite the fact it State FREE Large PIZZA....they made us pay for the toppings....it was false advertising and the food wasnt good!!! read more

It took around an hour and a half to get a pizza. It was not worth the wait. The pizza was just ok. The sauce is too sweet, sausage DIDNT taste right. We ordered a large, and it was tiny. For most of my childhood, Sunday mornings after church always led to OIP. Even now as an adult, though I don't live in Huntingdon anymore, I make an effort to stop in for some of that great food that has been a staple for the community for years. Their sauce is amazing, great on any of their pizza options, but I especially enjoy it with their stromboli. I've tried most of the boli options in my life and while I'm a simple man at heart (regular pepperoni, ham, and cheese), they're all delicious! The bread is very memorable and it always takes me back to those fond memories of family and friends when I get to eat it again. Went with my daughter while traveling through... The place is a little dated (and the dining room was really hot-we were there in mid-June). I've been coming here for the last couple of years after mountain biking at Raystown Lake. We're pretty hungry when we get here and always leave satisfied. The pizza is thin-crust and really nice and cheesy. I feel like the crust tastes a little burnt though. Maybe it's the residue from the previous crusts that builds up on the oven floor? Other than that, it's delicious pizza at a really good price. I even took a pie home (4 hours away) for the wife and kids. :) read more

Oip is known for its pizza, subs and bread. But my favorite is the fettuccine Alfredo. You get a large side salad and a whole loaf of homemade Italian bread.
