At first, great now they wont return our calls. We've trued multiple times to get ahold of them-- no such luck. Need a return visit.

We've used Orkin Williston for over ten years in our vacation home. During the time they were regularly monitoring this house (inside and out), it became infested with mice. Then they sent me a quote for thousands to clean up the damage. I hired a different pest control company from Essex Junction that worked with a local contractor to resolve it for much less. It is also annoyingly difficult to reach the Williston office by phone. If you're reading this right now, go ahead and try to give them a call. You will likely get a recording saying they're busy. The only way I could get them to call me was to call the national number, select the 'new service' option, and then ask them to have the local office call me. I strongly recommend you find a different, more reliable local pest control company. read more

When I first called orkin, they promised solving all my ant issues and mice, obviously is just a call center I realize now, charged me over $500 for first visit, local guy comes out and says they can't go on the roof, can't drill holes for carpenter ants, sprays around the outside of the house and basically doesn't want to do anything beyond that. They offered some sort of inspection and the guy never showed up. The amount of time I have wasted waiting around and rearranging my days is ridiculous. They show up late unannounced continually. I call the number for Burlington VT and nobody answers. Sent an email to cancel my account and they don't even bother to reply. That says it all. read more

The WIlliston, VT branch of Orkin is the WORST for so many reasons. DO NOT hire them/pay them. There are other options. They schedule visits randomly by letting you know one day before. If you call the number they provide in case you need to reschedule, (we needed to do this since we were out of town) no one answers and no one listens to the messages so they show up at times you have not approved. They did this to us recently and charged us for an in home visit that either happened when we weren't there or never happened at all. And don't think that anyone will ever return your calls. They won't. If fact one time I was trying to reach their office and no one would answer or call back. I called the regional office somehow (got lucky with their automated service). The regional manager was great and had me stay on the line while she called the Williston branch manager's cell phone. They were all at an ALL DAY BBQ! The Williston manager didn't know I was on the line when she admitted that basically none of them were working. Amazing. I have been trying to cancel my service with them, and no one returns my calls. I have been trying settle the disputed charge on our bill and no one returns my calls. I have been using these guys for five years. They come every other month, and the service has been fantastic. I can't speak to the bad reviews on yelp, but I know that I have never had any of the issues the other reviewers have reported. read more

Why can't these people understand that I am not at home on the day of the week they incessantly schedule my service and then fail to respond to my request to reschedule? I'm paying for this service and expect to get what I'm paying for. read more

Do not use Orkin here in Vermont. The branch here in Williston is laughably dysfunctional. I've had several appointments scheduled and no one ever shows up. I called and spoke to the worst customer service call taker I think I've ever spoken to in my life and she told me that "you can't force people to do anything" when I asked why the technician never comes during the scheduled appointment. There are other cheaper and more reliable options in Chittenden County. read more

Called for service and was told they could have a technician to my house later the same day. When no one came during the hours they indicated, I called back. They said they didn't know who I had talked to when I called, and they were not coming that day. Their reasoning was "understaffed" and that I was originally scheduled for one week later, but while they had me on the phone they would need to cancel that and move it out even longer. Called a different local service who was able to come out the same day - and charged less! read more

Called on a Wednesday to schedule an inspection and was offered Friday between 10 and 12 noon. No one showed during those hours and when I called to get an update I was advised the technician was on vacation and not available today or Monday, the appointment had been scheduled in error. Based on the other reviews I recommend looking elsewhere. read more

They are completely lacking customer service and can't seem to schedule to save a life. My daughter in law was at severe risk of an allergic reaction to stings- none one cared. Our service was cancelled the first time- "understaffed" was the excuse.The tech, when she finally arrived a week later told us that she has not ever been called by the Williston office. I called every day, my daughter in law called every day, for a week. No one called us back. The tech did a fine job when she finally arrived, but I would recommend Orkin as a very last resort. read more
