We were referred by my dad's neurologist and it took a couple months to get an appointment. You must bring all CT and MRI scans with you to the appointment. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!!!! Like others I give 0 stars but had to put 1. I saw Dr Reddy and he was awesome, listened and cared and referred me to Dr Wilson for an SI joint fusion. When I went to Dr Wilson he was "in emergency surgery " so I saw his PA Anna who said that he told her she could schedule the surgery if I met the criteria and that I did. My surgery was scheduled for March 25 2022. Beginning March 24 when I received a call from Anna that we didn't have Insurance approval yet I immediately called the ins co. They told me that they just received clinicals on 3/23 and it would take 5-10 days. I talked to Anna again and she said "That's a lie" and that she sent it on 3/16. I was back and forth with Ins and Anna (whom NEVER returns phone calls and always said she couldn't get ahold of the ins co to call herself ) to the point on the following Wednesday when I called the Ins and they said they received 34 more pages of clinicals on the 29th. Anna said she never sent anything on the 29th and last sent them on the 23rd, contradicting her statement the week before. In the end, my surgery was not approved because they did not have my MRI or injection results. How do you NOT send those tests to the insurance? Those should have been the first tests sent!!!!! Now, I WAS a smoker and had quit on 3/17 because I was having surgery and the insurance also wanted me to have quit 6 weeks before. But that would just be a little delay but to not send the records that would clearly be needed and THEN she completely stopped answering all calls and emails as if to say they were no longer interested in getting this surgery done. This woman caused me a GREAT deal of anxiety and depression. Giving me hope that all this pain would go away and then not submitted what should be submitted for most any surgery and not working to get the surgery approved! And then she continuously lied and contradicted herself. When I called to complain to the office manager, I never received a call back from her either. These people do not care about the patients! (Giving credit where credit is due- Kiani, who wrote my MLOA note always responded to my emails and calls) DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE! Run Far Far Away- As Fast as You Can!!!!-Experiencing the Mayhem says it all!!! As one who has experienced major back surgery and pain, since a failed back surgery, I initially was elated when I got a referral to see Dr. Ravi Gandi. However, upon my multiple phone calls and messages, to his scheduler, Melissa, this is where the "excitement" ended. Not only did Melissa not return any of my phone calls, at all, over the span of two plus weeks, I was given lip service, by their RN, who also copped a tone with me. It appears that these people are "just to busy to care" as is the doctor, who doesnt even take a mere second to respond about such unprofessional treatment, from a new patient. My advice is not to even contact this practice whatsoever, unless you don't mind being treated like you are no more than "another number off the Rolodex." Even after personally visiting their office, in Winter Park, with records in hand, Melissa not only could care less about "being to busy" with excuse after excuse about not setting an appointmnt for me to see Dr. Ghandi, but further Melissa won't even make eye contact nor acknowlege receipt of emailed records sent, unless she is asked in person...completely unacceptable, rude, complacent, and wrong on so many levels. Further, the receptionist, Dora was very rude, along with Allan, Practice Manager who is also too pompous to return both my messages and or show any ounce of caring whatsoever. So, fast forward to Wednesday, June 19, 2019, when these "low foreheads" sent me a cerified letter, as an attempt to further "justify" their unprofessionalism and "treating me like a number", as they have done countless other patients...guess they want all the "free advertising" coupled with reviews of their sorry and unacceptable ways, thinking they can just "dispose" of patients like trash when they "get their feelings hurt" in addition to their lack of caring and concern brought to their attention. Needless to say, I did not sign for their stupid letter, to be "bullied into submission", as it seems to be a pattern, from other reviews, as a way these people truly don't care as they are just "too busy" to care about their patients. I have to admit, I was very scared upon reading many of the negative reviews amongst many different sites for Orlando Neurosurgery, and now that I have personally experienced what many other have, via a "Sears and Roebuck", "Dime a Dozen Philosophy", I am way happier now that I see another Neurosurgeon, with twice the experience, from a much better and caring practice, which believes in the "human element", unlike these folks with a "pass the buck and blame the patient" mentality. After years of back pain my wife was refferd to this place. Did 3 ct scans and 1 xray. She seen dr john jenkens and was turned down for surgery.all he wanted to do was send her to pain mangt. And phys therapy. Shes already been to those places before didnt do her no good. I think dr john jenkens was just to scard to operate on her. What a wimp......... read more

This place is not user friendly. First off to make an appointment you have to go through a labyrinth of phone options only to get to the end where you are told to leave a message and someone will call back. I finally got an appointment, waited an hour and no one talked to me about the delay. People are treated like they do in a Food Stamp Office where the attitude is "You need us, we don't need you." I'm not surprised at all the negative reviews. They get one star because you have to give at least a star. read more

The only reason I did not provide Orlando Neurosurgery 5 stars is because I had to wait 3 months for an appointment and it was a bit of a challenge to get my test results to them. Other than that I've had excellent service here. My initial appointment was on August 2nd with Dr. Sawin. I cannot say enough great things about him! I have been to so many doctors and so many specialists and I highly recommend Dr. Sawin. He went over everything with me clearly, provided realistic expectations, and answered all my questions. He also provided me with multiple options and not all were invasive surgery. I really appreciate his professionalism and I will continue to be his patient indefinitely. read more

Noone you see there seems interested. I saw Dr Rosen for acute lower back pain. Appointment made for about 6 weeks later (at my request) for surgery. On the day of surgery at FL Hospital South. Surgery was booked for 9:30 in the morning, surgery did not happen until 2:30 in the afternoon about 'normal' for Florida Hostipal. With in two days after the surge Ryan in extreme pain unable to move called the office on numerous times to get help was bas icall told that there was nothing they could do for me and I would have to wait two weeks to see someone. Two weeks passed and I arrived on time for a noon appointment was not seen until 12:45 at which time I was told by the nurse that they prescribe a steroid to help with the pain. I asked for a paper prescription told I could have one as Dr Rosen wasn't in the office and that they would send the script over to my pharmacy still waiting after 4 hrs for them to tell me they have sent the prescription as the pharmacy has not received it. So far a thouroughly ulpleasent experience dealing with these people. Guess I need to find another neurosurgeon or othapedic surgeon. Should have gone to Jewett Orthopedic. read more

The employees at the front desk are extremely helpful, but unfortunately that is where the pleasantries end, my doctor, Dr. Baker, is the old cliche, the doctor who believes he is a god, he barely gives you the time of day and does not listen to your symptoms. Dr. Rosen and his staff need to review the Patient Bill of Rights. My wife was scheduled for her surgery on her brain at 7am and it was around 12pm before they took her to surgery. No one came in to explain to my wife why it was taking so long. If I hadn't asked we would not have known what was going on. After surgery, there was no follow up call to see how my wife was doing and when we called the office, no one seemed to care. They gave my wife only 3 days of pain medication after BRAIN SURGERY and when we called to get more they would only give her tylenol and steroids. I read the guidelines for opioids and she could have gotten 7 days of medication for her pain, but they only gave her tylenol and steroids, which she told them wasn't doing any good. We also asked for help at home after the surgery, such as physical and speech therapy, and was told by Dr. Rosen that she did not need it. It was after 2 weeks that an Advent nurse and our insurance company got involved that we finally got her some needed help. I would not recommend Dr. Rosen or his staff to anyone who needs the surgery my wife had. I just hope that no one else has to endure the issues we had. read more

Do not waste your time here!!! I have seen Dr. Baker twice and i'm pretty sure I spent a total of 10 minutes with him combined from the 2 appointments. I am young (currently 20) and I did not have an accident or fall that caused 2 of my discs to herniate and Dr. Baker did not listen to me at all. I'm assuming he brushed off my pain and concerns because I am so young and should be able to "bounce back quickly" and ignored me when i told him this is an injury I've had for almost 4 years and hasn't fixed itself yet. The pain is so severe that it caused me to be on bed rest for a full month at one point yet he still didn't take me seriously. He sent me off for epidurals which did help for my lower back pain but not my mid-back pain. I went back after 2 epidurals and told him I still had back pain and he says "oh thats fine". like????? it's not fine, I'm in pain. I told him my other doctor sent me to physical therapy which i was already 2 weeks into and Dr.Baker then writes me a script for physical therapy. He couldn't even listen long enough to hear that I am already in PT. Dr.Baker thinks that he is god and knows your pain better than you do. Better options out there. Its been 9 years this month that Dr. Sawin performed surgery on my spine. I'm glad to be alive but there hasn't been a day since that I'm not in pain. Which maybe is the way its supposed to be? My problem is with the PA's and follow up after the surgery. Because after one visit they decided that I was pain free and all was well. I disagreed with that assessment and not long after a certified letter shows up at my house telling me I'm not wanted as a patient anymore. You wanted me when you were getting all those big checks from my insurance company. What happened?? Funny two weekends ago I ran into Dr. Sawin and the first words out of his mouth were your walking gingerly? What's going on. He said I should call his assistant and come in. So I called and got the your not a patient of ours anymore line. So I have to wonder did he know what happened or was he afraid to say it to my face?? Not sure. But at the end of the day there lots of great surgeons in Orlando so don't put your life in these peoples hands. read more
