Two-star stay, with four-star service at check out prompted me to award the "meh" three-star review. The pros: very clean grounds. Flat RV sites with full-service hook-ups, nice patios, tables, fire pits, grassy areas and a few shade trees. New restrooms/showers. Handy location. Fairly quiet. The cons: no hot water in the new restrooms/showers (thankfully this is Florida where the cold water, isn't freezing cold), inconsistent pool hours (posted 9pm closing time, but was locked at 7:45pm the night we wanted to enjoy it), ridiculously short business hours for the store/business center (closes at 5pm). Decided to leave a day early due to incoming storm (and lack of hot water), so stopped into the office to notify the clerk, who was actually quite helpful. She refunded our last night and stated that the hot water situation was a top priority. Doubt I'll be back to find out if it gets better! read more

Good for a short stay if you are in the area for a couple,e of days. Very sandy with a lot of leaves and very little grass in sites up front. No concrete pads and brick patios have ant hills creating dirty patio. Sites are very tight. Pool looked very nice. Right next to highways so pretty noisy, but to be expected in this area. I would like to say easy access to parks and such, but there is no easy access in Orlando with their traffic. Store was nice. We were disappointed that we could not come in night before as they do not take reservations or answer phone after their 5 pm closing. Called around 6 and never did get a return call did not realize this seems to be a standard for Koa. No online reservations after 4 and no phones answered after closing time. This was a really nice KOA! The amenities were nice with the heated pool and awesome playground area. The mini golf was $3 a person and not worth it in my opinion. The bathrooms and grounds were always clean. We had a great shady pull through spot right by the pool so our location was great! Would def go back. read more

Very nice well maintained campground. A very nice checkin / store with food supplies Rv parts and some souvenir items. We got our spot right across road from pool, bathrooms/showers and putt putt. Very convenient. The spots are not too wide but wide enough for the nice concrete patio as to not feel infringed on by neighbor. A lot of the toward spots are well shaded.. there are picnic tables and fire rings. ( but if you just want ambiance fire, get yourself a Solo fire can as it's kinda hard to have a fire so close to the camper). There is a huge playground with the typical kids things and bounce pad along with bb court, pickle court, corn hole, horseshoes and plenty of room to chill out. The campground is right of Highway 4 and Route 27 but traffic noise is not an issue. Great place and highly recommend especially if doing the Disney parks. We haven't any kids but the noise level is at a minimum for us. read more

We stayed here for a month working. It has the best playground my kids loved it we were there everyday multiple times a day. They have good campsites spacious. The pool was awesome too. 7 foot deep to 3 feet deep they had a separate pool for the little ones it was I believe 1 1/2 feet deep. The pool closed at 9pm I believe the kids loved night swimming. They had a bunch of activities for the kids to do on the weekends like bingo, scavenger hunt, paint a rock, tie dye, pottery and some others they even had adult bingo Friday nights. We really enjoyed our time here we all miss it and want to be back there. When we come back to Florida we will be coming back here. read more

This campground is very nice and well maintained with lots to do. Very busy place and convenient location. Like most KOAs it runs beside a very loud and very busy highway but that was tolerable and expected. what wasn't expected is the construction going on at the neighbouring property. A large building complex is being constructed and from 7am to 5pm all you hear is the beeping of machinery and banging of boards, nails and impact tools. VERY loud! we left early because I couldn't stand the noise any longer. I am on vacation and don't want to be woken everyday by machinery pounding. If this is ever completed, this park will be amazing to stay at. read more

We arrived around 10:30 and was assisted by a staff member who was very helpful, even though it was raining. The property looks very nice however the small patios were less than desirable. The WiFi was horrible! I could not get any of my electronics to connect. And then the notice they give you says you can't stream tv on it! This is listed as a KOA holiday which is supposed to be for longer stays! With modern technology you need the WiFi. We usually have our dog with us and use WiFi to monitor her while away. Nothing would connect. Unfortunately this would keep up from staying there again because we need the WiFi. The grounds were nice and the other people we met were friendly. read more

We Came down with my family for the Christmas holidays we thought we would spend them in sunny Florida we had decided on the KOA Davenport as it was conveniently located to Disney and other attractions we have never had any problems with any other Campgrounds ever. like we had with this one as we have no small children a handicap daughter 17 our sons are grown ,and I was sick for the first week in bed, but Had people running the park banging on the door screaming at me over little kids I didn't have,and I told this to them several times but they continued to come to my door,with that said the kids that they were angry over were just riding bike's behaving as children do I didn't think was bad at all. So this was definitely not a campground for kids which seems to be odd because it so close to the parks. I have a 5 pound yorkie that when I would take him out he would bark yes bark wow I thought that was normal and aloud No! I guess if I was 65years of age and had too huge dogs like the people behind me that there dogs barked all day with that said there dogs never bothered me at all but I guess my LITTLE yorkie caused a big Deal. Much to my surprise I was told after my months rent was up I would have to leave I asked why again I was told about my little kids I don't have,so after my rent was up we gladly left the campground and found another park we are very pleased with and wish we would have chosen first. So if you have small children I would advise you against staying here. Also to add to things there bath houses were filthy and the bath house's in the back of the park were closed and from what i had been told had been for over 6 months so you have to drive to the bath house in the front of the park.the office was always closed so if you needed anyone they were not to be found, as for any mail I had delivered I finally got after my 3rd time asking and them saying they had no mail for me that consisted of medical supplies for my handicapped daughter. You were allowed to Vehicles per lot we had 2 lots and there was not room to park our vehicles and if they happen to be touching the road in front you got threatened that are vehicle would be towed there was trees so the vehicles could not be parked properly on the sites, There were large ant hills all around the RVS so yes they came in to visit. My sister came to visit us on Christmas day to have dinner and was turned away at the office and told she was not allowed in the park. Love this campground! Every person who works here is beyond hospitable. They all go above and beyond to be so welcoming! We got in super late due to horrible traffic and Ms Sherry had a map ready for us and she had drawn and circled all the places we needed and how to get to our site. Easiest pull in we've ever had. Despite how late it was she still walked up as we pulled in to greet us with a warm smile and offer any assistance we may need, well after they had closed for the day. The pool is huge. They have a pool for tots to play in as well. Lots of tables and chairs. All in good condition. Mini golf, a really nice park, basketball court, and jumping pad. Kids ride their bikes freely all over and play. Extremely family oriented. All the facilities are well kept. All the sites have new picnic tables, fire rings, etc. They provide campsite trash pick up all day. The pull through sites are nice sized. The wifi is probably the best of any park I've ever been to. Every face we've encountered has been so kind. This is a very, very nice KOA. read more

This is a great campsite! When we go camping, having clean bathrooms are important to me, and so far this has been the best. The staff is constantly driving around checking on things and keeping this campsite looking excellent. I also enjoy that they have a heated pool, and a nice playground. This is our third year here and our first year was a blast, the entertainment staff was excellent and even though the pool didn't really seem heated most of the time, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Last year was pretty good with a few minor irritations, they removed some dog waste stations so the dog waste increased and was kinda gross. There were a few eye sore old RVs that had mice and created a bit of a problem but the overall experience wasn't horrible. This last year will be our last for sure! This year has been a barrage of crime, pushy & inconsiderate neighbours and dirty grounds. There was a shooting in which 3 RVs were damaged and people were in fear for their lives, syringes have been found in a public area, campers have witnessed drug activity in the public bath houses and beer cans littered the grounds and more dog feces due to removal of doggie doodoo bags, one bath house is closed and there is virtually no Wi-Fi at all! It's such a shame because this once nice park with so much potential but it has has sunk to garbage and we don't really feel safe here any longer. It's so close to attractions but not worth the risk!! We'll be willing to drive an hour to visit attractions from now on to have safety, cleanliness and good neighbours. Other than the WiFi issues which have been well documented in other reviews, this place is very nice. The WiFi works and seems to have good coverage throughout the park, but it's pretty limited on bandwidth. On the other hand, our Sprint coverage was excellent at this location. The grounds and bathrooms were always clean and well kept. The pool is large and very clean. There's a nice store at the front of the campground staffed with helpful and friendly people. The sites are gravel with a concrete patio. We had a very level site and all hook-ups were conveniently placed. Parking is a little limited - our pull through site wasn't really long enough for our truck and our trailer. The do RV rental business here and some of their inventory is parked on-site, but it's out of the way and not a problem. There also appears to be some full time residents here, but their spaces are mostly at the back or on the side and are well kept and not an issue. The staff was always courteous and friendly and we made a few new friends in the 2+ weeks we were there. After reading some of the negative reviews, I wonder if we're all talking about the same place. Overall, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again when we're in the area. read more

We had a pleasant, 2- night stay here. We have an 18-ft pop-up camper and stayed in a shady pull-through site. There was plenty of room to park our truck. We had a picnic table, even though the website didn't list that. Water and electric hook-ups were easily accessible and functioned well. The only issue was the sewer connection was uphill from our sink drain, so it didn't work well. The site was sandy and sloped, so we were glad we had 2x6's for under the stabilizers. Bathrooms were clean and functioned well. The main office had a large lounge with a pool table, table shuffleboard, TV's and board games. Wi-Fi was minimal. They describe the limited access on the website and tell you at check-in. Wifi worked to send email and access the Internet, but you aren't able to stream movies with it. read more

When I made my reservation for a "premium pull through site" I specifically requested a site without low branches or a tight turn to get in as our Class A motorhome is 41' and almost 13' high. We were given a site impossible to make the turn without several back ups and branches that hit the roof. And this is AFTER removing the tow car. I would call this site less than "premium". These pull throughs are very narrow, with our slide out we can't fit the table on the patio. When I opened the electric box wasps poured out at me, there was a hornet nest inside the cover! While the pool and main building look nice, this site at $76.00 per night is grossly overpriced. Now we are trying to figure out how we will get out of this site without hitting more trees. KOA SW Orlando you need to trim a lot of branches! We won't be back. read more

Traveling full-time in a 38-foot coach we stayed 14-nights in a site for big rigs (site #140 - Pd $68./night). This was our first visit here. We live in the age of WIFI technology and there is nothing to stop this RV park from investing in doing WIFI properly. For some users such as ourselves, WIFI is an important feature and was one of the reasons for our stay here. We were told both by email and phone that each site had a good wifi signal. The wifi in and around our site was just about non-existent. We were in direct sight of two wifi towers, but still couldn't get a decent connection, even at 5am. Other guests we spoke with also had non-existent wifi! We know enough not to count on a good signal over the weekends, but during the weekday there is no excuse. We even have the WIFI-Ranger on our roof with a direct-line-of-sight to their wifi source. There were no trees in the line-of-sight, and the distance was not a factor. Initially there was a mix-up when we checked-in...after checking-in to the office and being assigned a site, we proceeded to our site to find it was already occupied by a family who intended to stay for a week. Returning to the office, the office gal was confused, but she located an alternate site for us. The first site was a pull-thru, but the second site was a back-in, for a deserved cheaper price. This park is built on a hill and most of the sites in the back of the park are terraced along the hill side. Most of the terraced sites are not level and require the use of levelers. The sites at the front of the park are level with nice gravel pads, but the terraced sites are sand, dirt and grass and placed close together. The site we were placed on was way to unlevel for a coach our size. The driver-side was almost one foot off the ground, and because of the sand & dirt base after just a couple days we had to re-level. There's plenty of room to walk your dog here with a small fenced dog area. Also, there's a dog wash which is a nice surprise. We had AT&T phone service here and our satellite worked good. Absolutely amazing! We were evacuating South Florida due to hurricane Irma and decided to stay one night before we continued our travels out of the state. The staff was very compassionate and accommodating. The facilities are well keep and organized. We will most definitely be back when the weather is better. I have camped here twice a year for around 3 years and always had a great time.We have rented small and large cabins and always did our best to be courteous We stayed there from march 12-15 and had a great time but we thought check out was 12 not 11.When we were informed by the lady who drives around in the golf cart taking care of the check outs we said we were sorry and it was my mistake.As we rushed to leave she very rudely told us we needed to be OFF the property right then.We were off by 1115.Needless to say we will probably stay at one of the other 2 KOA's in the area next time.People should be treated with a little respect when they are paying customers. read more

I have stayed in much nicer KOAs. The reason for two stars is that the staff was very friendly. However, the park doesnt have the amenities that I have come to desire - no hot tub, and the WIFI is literally non functional. I am not the average user either as I work in the high speed data industry and understand the tech side. This park is redistributing hughes net sat internet - which is nearly impossible to use if you are one user - let alone 100s of them. Miost people do not count on these parks -nor do I, but I will zing any place I stay for not having good wifi - in todays world its a necessity and parks/hotels need to get on the bandwagon and address it. Also, there's a lot of sand and ants here. Folks will warn you when you arrive to get bug spray or the ants will crawl up the tires and into your coach. This place was very accommodating. Its clean and well cept. The female staff was nice, helpful, and did not mind going the extra steps to do things right. The male staff were rude, quick to attack if you don't follow the park rules like where to park or how to have fun in the park. The grounds keeping starts at 8 am and dont kare if you have a hangover or your wife is still in bed. The (evening) life in the park is awesome in the summer. There are a lot of activities in the park to do and it seams to be a safe place to just chill and plan your next round of golf or relax after a long day at all the theme parks in the area. They alowed my two small dogs as long as they were kept on a leash. They even have different kinds of rental bikes for you and the kids. I would have gave 5 stars but the male staff needs to relax it's just a koa not a military base. read more

This place is bullshit. It's pretty, nice sunset, cool that it has dog parks but the staff is HORRIBLE. All mail that has been sent out of here with money in it has never made it to whom it was supposed to go to out of state. HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS LOST. All checks that were sent here were never retrieved. Daytime staff ignores our trash but gets everyone else's and harasses us daily for things that make no sense whatsoever. They look for things to yell at people about. It's hot outside and my friend is asleep but we're talking with her boyfriend in our car parked at their site. We are sitting in our car outside because it's hot and one of our friends is in her camper asleep and they want to stop and yell at us for sitting in our car?! What sense does that make?! Were staying out of the heat bothering NO ONE and here she comes again asking stupid questions acting like she's doing something productive when in reality she is making herself look stupid and pissing people off for no reason. She then says pick that up and drives off. No one even knows what she was talking about because she doesn't know what she is talking about so she made something up pointed vaguely and drove off. I'm so incredibly sick of her and this place. She has ruined it for all 5 of us, 3 different campers, full of adults who work all day and relax with their dogs at night. If it weren't for Dave and miss Kay picking up our trash at night and actually treating us like human beings we wouldn't have stayed as long as we have. Very quite koa it has a couple of small playgrounds for the kids if there was more for the kids to do here at the campground it self I would of gave it 5 but the sites are mostly level and easy to get set up quickly they are kinda narrow in my opinion but with t being slow for them right now we basically had an entire row to our selves. Community bathrooms and showers were clean and nice. I will definitely be back next year with the kids to go to legoland again. read more

I gave this a lower rating mostly due to the closing of the pool and activities stuff at 8 daily and the unprofessional store employee. Hello, owners? This is FLORIDA. IT IS HOT. Not everyone is at Disney so the pool should be open until at least 10pm. The sites are good sized and the location is good. We went in the camp store to look around and were ignored by a female employee who was allowing her grandchild to throw a complete tantrum over whether she could go with her grandpa to Wal-Mart or not. We literally came within three feet or this employee and she would not make eye contact or acknowledge us, so we left and bought stuff elsewhere. The child was screaming so loud, I got a migraine! Lots of places to eat and shop within a mile or two. Great price. Area to walk dogs but no bark park. Bring something to do after 8pm because everything is closed at the campground :-( They dont provide a lifeguard at any time so I fail to see why the pool can't be open later! read more

This was the closest campground we could get to Universal Studios. The camp ground was very nice, including the people working there. What we were not expecting was the traffic in Orlando. It took over an hour to get to Universal Sudiios or Disney World. read more

Loved this camp ground. Pool open 23 hours. Yes the restrooms need updating, but kept extremely clean, as far as comments made about store closing to early, just go down the street if you need something after five . For those who complained about it being boring for self or kids, remember Orlando is 20min away, get a life!! read more
