This was a really nice KOA! The amenities were nice with the heated pool and awesome playground area. The mini golf was $3 a person and not worth it in my opinion. The bathrooms and grounds were always clean. We had a great shady pull through spot right by the pool so our location was great! Would def go back.

Very nice well maintained campground. A very nice checkin / store with food supplies Rv parts and some souvenir items. We got our spot right across road from pool, bathrooms/showers and putt putt. Very convenient. The spots are not too wide but wide enough for the nice concrete patio as to not feel infringed on by neighbor. A lot of the toward spots are well shaded.. there are picnic tables and fire rings. ( but if you just want ambiance fire, get yourself a Solo fire can as it's kinda hard to have a fire so close to the camper). There is a huge playground with the typical kids things and bounce pad along with bb court, pickle court, corn hole, horseshoes and plenty of room to chill out. The campground is right of Highway 4 and Route 27 but traffic noise is not an issue. Great place and highly recommend especially if doing the Disney parks. We haven't any kids but the noise level is at a minimum for us.

Now that was 6 weeks of Pure Nonsense, Camping way in the back, near the Orange Groves, where the Sunset gets all Spectacularly and the Peace just unfolds into Laugh, Staffed by everyone's Friends, Beautiful Nonsense. Better go get you some of that....

We stayed here for a month working. It has the best playground my kids loved it we were there everyday multiple times a day. They have good campsites spacious. The pool was awesome too. 7 foot deep to 3 feet deep they had a separate pool for the little ones it was I believe 1 1/2 feet deep. The pool closed at 9pm I believe the kids loved night swimming. They had a bunch of activities for the kids to do on the weekends like bingo, scavenger hunt, paint a rock, tie dye, pottery and some others they even had adult bingo Friday nights. We really enjoyed our time here we all miss it and want to be back there. When we come back to Florida we will be coming back here.

Low amp electricity hook ups made the AC work harder for less results. Friendly desk clerk.

The staff here were nothing but nice to us and responded to our request rapidly. The property is age restricted for long term residents so just passing through for the month is was ok since we are young and have a two year old. They do not have a playground, but the city has a real nice park just up the street and it looks like they have a splash pad for the kids also. The property is huge and has many amenities for its residents. There is a nice lake on property that is inhabited by a young alligator. We only saw her on the bank and she never came close to any of us. The property is going through some renovations and they have added a nice fire pit lake side near the office and they always have wood there to burn. They do not allow fire pits at your camp site so this is a nice alternative. They had a pool which we didn't use, along with shuffle board, horse shoes, mini golf, and planed activities. The people we encountered on the property were nothing but nice. I not sure what the complaints were about them, but many times people stopped by and chatted. I would have to say this is one of the nicest park we have stayed at.

However, it's only $10 now that I have my own life jacket (saving me additional cost of $5 to use one of theirs, as required). Well worth the low cost for some soul-enriching, communing with nature. I have never made a reservation. I normally arrive around 10:30, most recently on a Friday. Parked for free on Baptist Camp Rd. Just a bit of a walk from there with my inflated paddleboard, but I don't mind the extra exercise. You can unload your stuff closer, if preferable. There are port-a-potties available. You can count on there being a line in the check-in office. Various recreation supplies are available there for purchase. The process moves reasonably enough. A reservation will guarantee your entrance, however, and possibly aide quicker personal info collection. I always plan to do the Emerald Cut in roughly 3 hours round-trip, allowing myself several stops to enjoy the surroundings. You do run into (quite literally at times) novice paddlers along the way, which can be a bit tricky, yet not a real nuisance for me. In general, there's friendliness along the waterway. Slighty rowdy, party vibes in some spots, but also opportunities for solace and zen in various nooks. Encountering wildlife, fragrant elderberry, and other captivating flora along this stretch is always gratifying. It's a popular recreation destination for good reason.

My Hubby and I love kayaking, so we booked an excursion months in advance for Rock Springs through TripAdvisor. Our Tour Operator was Get Up And Go Kayaking located at Kings Landing in Apopka, FL. I LOVE saying Apopka ;) The good news: Apopka is a quick 1 hour drive from Orlando. Make sure you don't miss the turn to King's Landing, because the entrance is located on a narrow dirt road. You must drive past Kelly Park (which fills up fast). There is a Park Ranger located here who will guide you to King's Landing. As you get closer and if you see a parking spot, grab it! Check in is located in the Cabin like office where you will have to sign a waiver. If you do not want to take a clear bottom, guided Kayak tour, you can either rent or BYO Kayak versus taking a semi private, clear, guided kayak tour. NOTE: ONLY use their Sunscreen/lotion which is provided at no cost. It protects the wildlife and the Springs. We wanted the full experience as we have previously enjoyed renting clear Kayaks. Our guide for the morning was: Megan, who was fantastic! Full of energy, information and helpful tidbits about the Springs and its human and wildlife inhabitants. Our group was small and capped at 10. We paddled through both narrow and open stretches, and stopped to swim in the warm, crystal-clear water. One highlight was a banyan tree with an 8-foot natural "jump hole"--such a cool experience! It was a serene, memorable day, and fun fact: this is the very spring featured in the Visit Orlando commercials! Yeah, definitely take a day away from crowded Orlando to relax and enjoy Mother Nature! You will Thank Me ;)
