I was told by my doctor that I had elevated PSA and I needed to have a prostate biopsy done. I had the biopsy done at Orlando Urology center. After the procedure I was told that there would be some bleeding for a few days. I went home and by the time I got there I had an excessive amount of bleeding, since I had never had a biopsy done before I thought it was normal. The heavy bleeding went on for two days. I was weak, tired and I even fell down from the dizziness and weakness. I decided to write this review because I had a second Biopsy called a Transrectal mri fusion prostate biopsy performed by a different urologist not associated with them, and it was a totally different experience. I had very minimun bleeding and alot less pain. I wouldn't recommend Orlando Urology Associates. read more

I was a patient of Dr. Sujika for over 20 years, and he was absolutely outstanding. I have IC and underwent several procedures during my time as his patient, all of which greatly helped manage my condition. When Dr. Sujika retired, he highly recommended Dr. Rivera, who was also excellent. Unfortunately, after Dr. Rivera left the practice, my experience declined significantly under the care of Dr. Ong. I have lived with this condition for 26 years, yet Dr. Ong dismissed my diagnosis and suggested yoga as a solution. This was not only inaccurate but incredibly frustrating and invalidating. IC is a complex medical condition, and it is not something that can simply be resolved with yoga. Not to mention I have been treated for this condition by other urologists in Orlando and in Georgia, and Germany when we lived abroad for 10 years. Based on my experience, I would NOT recommend Dr. Ong and strongly encourage others with chronic conditions like IC to seek care elsewhere. I would give him a "zero" if I could. read more

The care my husband received at this practice by Stephen Baker was very substandard. I wonder how his life would have differed if he had been treated by a competent doctor. All the credentials meant nothing. Do yourself a favor and please go to another doctor and practice. read more

I cannot say enough nice things about Orlando Urology Associates. I have ongoing bacterial infections for over a year and Dr.Rivera has been great with managing my health. He is willing to work with other physicians, such as Infectious Disease to help figure out the origin of my problem. Has recommended PT and other unique testing not offered by other urology practices to help me get healthy again. read more

Very busy office that handles a large flow of patients as efficiently as possible. Sometimes you may have a short wait or might have to make an extra phone call or email to complete something but ultimately it will get done with some active participation on your part. The staff here is pleasant and as helpful as they can be. I am sure the type of insurance that you have will greatly effect your experience at the office but I feel confident that if you speak up and ask for assistance from the staff they will be willing to help out as much as they can. I found the Doctor I have been seeing (won't name) is nice and efficient but he does tend to speak VERY quickly so be awake and on your toes when discussing things or be sure to ask questions to clarify if you are not 100% sure of his instructions. read more

I received a referral for this group from my PCP. I called for an appt., pressed 3 as I was a new patient and whoever was answering the phone immediately put me on hold WITHOUT a greeting--just click and hold music. The first time, I was on hold for 10 minutes plus before hanging up. The second call, after 5 minutes I started searching for another urology group while on that extended hold. The new Urology group answered my call immediately and an appt. was booked with courtesy and professionalism. I will suggest to my PCP that they not refer any other patients to OUA. If you can't even answer the phone correctly, something is patently wrong. read more

Dr Ong was very polite and the blonde/brunette female nurse that assisted him was so kind. She held my hand through every step as I was super nervous. I will say. Scheduling is not very kind and the details others have left in their reviews is definitely right on point when it comes to the lack of quality of care. Some people shouldn't be in the medical field- the lady that continues to hang up on me when I call scheduling is one of them. If you can see Dr Ong, you'll be well taken care of. The Hispanic lady at the desk is nice as well (if I could remember her name or the nurse's name I'd write them here to thank them, but it was an emotional day I don't remember). whoever is in scheduling seems to be overworked and tired and doesn't appear to enjoy her job or want to be patient or understanding to those in need of medical care. Beware. Before going to this place read the other reviews not only from this location but also the one in Dr. Philips. I was misdiagnosed by them and on top of that they don't disclose the copay payments ahead of your exams. All medical facilities must disclose any charges before any test is performed, rather than sending a surprise medical bill. I have been harassed by their office with medical bills, even when their diagnosis was incorrect and I decided to dispute the changes. Despite me sending them multiple written requests for a response or cease-and-desist, they have ignored that completely. read more

The website says "Rapid Stone Care" and the header on the page says "When the Pain Doesn't Allow You to Wait." I was told (rudely) the soonest I could be seen would be in 6 days. I explained the website stated "rapid care" and that this was a current issue and I was in severe pain, and the girl on the phone tells me, "Well, it's not like we can kick someone else out of their appointment just for you..." I explained the website again, and she asked her manager, who said, "whoops, I guess we should take that off the website, we don't do that anymore". I wouldn't give a 1 star review just for a mix up on the website... but I have to take another star off just for the rudeness of the girl who answered (who said she had only been there for 5 months, so didn't understand what I was asking about). People calling in about kidney stone issues are in severe pain and looking for help. If you can't summon even some polite indifference when answering the phone instead of rude petulance, this may not be the career for you. read more

Completely missed blood in my urine. Dr. Melcer is rude and dismissive, paid no attention to anything I had to say about my symptoms. He determined that I did not have prostatitis, but still prescribed prostate meds, then shilled me hard for a line of homeopathic prostate products that he is clearly involved in or is getting paid by the company. The man has all the personality of a prison cafeteria worker. His diagnosis was completely wrong, and despite taking a urine sample, they apparently just tested for flow and did not do even a strip test. Avoid this place and Dr. Melcer like the plague! read more

I have been using this practice for years Dr Baker has been excellent until yesterday I changed my insurance a mistake on my part for which I take responsibility When I told the lady on the front desk about the change she almost threw the card back at me and snapped the paperwork from my hand she upset and embarrassed me in front of a full waiting room I even got comments from other patients min short she is extremely rude and should not be let loose on the public If she was having a bad day that was not my doing or problem Please remember that patients are also customers and should be trea as such I did ask too get a massage to Dr Baker and ask him to contact me Has not happened read more

OK. In early 2019 I fired my Urologist at 41 Kaley street and moved on. Long story short, in about 2014 I started having RLQ pain. Went to Gastro, then back to OUA several CT scans and KUB. nothing reported by radiology except a bunch of stones lodged in my RT kidney. The first hint was in about 2015 when their radiologist called to me at home to say there was calcification seen in my abdomen and wanted to know if i smoked (no). On followup with Dr. I asked about this and could he look at the CT scan. He tells me NO, he only reads what the radiologist reports and if there is nothing there is nothing. Fast forward to 2018 more pain, more CT scans and KUB's . I look at the latest CT and see a couple things I ask the Dr once more to look at the CT scan images with me. He gets all rude and dismissive and sends me off. Now at my NEW Uro, after some CT and KUB, he ordered a CT URO wo/w contrast. Long story short I just had several stones removed from my RT ureter, two were lodged so long they were fused. I had a 6.5 and 5.5 mm stone removed from the ureter. Nearly total blockage at UVJ and possible to lose that kidney. Good likelihood more stones formed in kidney due to slow drainage, plus unnecessary radiation from CT modalities w/o contrast. I am recovering post op today. These stones were clearly visible on several CT's taken back to 2014. Select a Urologist who will take time to assess your situation and be wary if your Uro does not perform a a 24 hour urine test , a pylogram or CT Uro wo/w contrast to assess flow of your ureters. Apparently there is a divide between them and AdventHealth but guess who office staff member Erica took it out in? Me! The patient who is just trying to heal and be seen. The best urologist in Orlando. I see dr Stan Sujka. He listens to you and tries to help you if he can. His bed side manner is great. His nurses are good too. I would definitely recommend this to people. The wait time is great. I won't go anywhere else read more

Had a Vasectomy performed by Dr. Ong on March 9th and just got the all clear today. Surgery was painless, other than the initial numbing needles. I opted out of the gas they offered to help with anxieties. I was nervous, but not that nervous. I had no complications from the surgery. Dr. Ong was professional and straight forward. The office staff was pleasant to interact with and I had no problems setting up an appointment over the phone. I can definitely recommend Dr. Ong and his colleagues if you are seeking to get a Vasectomy. read more

Love having a facility where you can walk in and give a urine specimen, get immediate results and 3 days meds and follow-up test results within a couple of days. Excellent service and friendly staff. Love Dr. Baker. read more
