I had 9 times of moving schools for 2 children because schools often talk very well on the website, open house and school tours and then they do not do as they talk with many reasons. I decided to move my child to BK right before September (after 2 weeks of summer camp at another school where I was told to send my child more weeks and the teacher just stood to look at my child's difficulties at drop off and I saw my child sit alone on the floor or stand facing the wall). I thought BK would be the last option before homeschooling. But he has been thriving in very well: play with friends at the first week, drop off withour cry, learn life skills, read well at 4 - a preschooler, especially he is happy and confident to play and learn. Teachers, especially, Meera, is really passionate for her teaching job - beyond any curriculum. Parents here are very friendly and supportive too. Regulattion is a big job for any child, especially for gifted and 2e students and given the rainy weather of the winter, not many schools can privide a huge indoor room for kids to run and ride, but BK does offer this option. Also, the playground is so huge that children can run and play as they want. Once they regulate themselve better, they will learn better. Touring many schools, I do not see they offer huge indoor and outdoor playgrounds for the children. They may fit more classrooms? Thank you very much for helping my child grow well and happily.

It is unfortunate at this establishment safety is not one of their top priorities as mentioned in their mission statement. There have been one too many incidences that have occurred at this school with no proper communication with parents. There is no transparency from faculty members. Each faculty member are all mandated reporters which leaves me speechless as I'm sure there is a policy and procedure for all incidences that may occur with any of our kids. Yet incidences continue to arise without transparent communication and explanations to us parents. According to public records this institution has been cited for safety of our children to a lack of planned emergency planning this past year in 2025 which you all can find from public records on (find child care wa . Org) and input the schools name/address. I have also provided screenshots of my findings. Not only is safety a concern but also the turnover rate this establishment has with teachers is signaling a deeper issue in this institution. Surly as an educator/owner of a school one must know the significant impact that may have on our kids. Studies have shown a "connection of high turnover with loss of instructional quality, weaker teacher collaboration, and more classroom inconsistency" as Stephen Gibbons have done a study on. It is without question if you want your children to attend a safe and well managed school then this isn't the place you want them to be. The schools quality of care and lack in skill to care for our kids really shows.

Even when I asked questions, the answers were often given in Mandarin rather than addressed to me. As a parent trying to understand the school and make an informed decision for my child, I found this unprofessional and concerning. Over time, our concerns grew. The biggest issues for us were safety, communication, and accountability. In our experience, we did not feel confident that incidents were being properly documented or reported to parents in a clear and timely manner. With young children, accidents can happen, but parents should be informed honestly and promptly, and there should be proper records of what occurred. Our experience did not give us confidence that this was being handled appropriately. When we raised concerns, the response felt defensive and business-focused rather than child-centered. We did not feel heard, reassured, or treated like partners in our child's care. We also felt that the school often appeared to do the minimum rather than proactively creating the safest and most supportive environment possible. In addition, the number of school closures and days off, including some that were not federal holidays, added to our frustration. We also came away seriously questioning the leadership of the school. Based on our interactions, the leadership did not appear to demonstrate the judgment, communication skills, accountability, or child-centered approach we would expect from people responsible for young children. Rather than giving us confidence, the way issues were handled made us feel more concerned. For us, this was not about one isolated incident. It was the overall pattern: poor communication, lack of transparency, safety concerns, and leadership that did not seem willing or able to take parent concerns seriously. Stability, our child did not enjoy consistency in their education, given the high level of turnover of staff. Choosing a school for your child is a major decision. Parents deserve to feel that their child is safe, cared for, and that concerns will be handled with honesty, empathy, and accountability. Based on our experience, we cannot say that was the case here.

Clean organized school intentionally designed: It was one of the cleanest most organized well set up schools and their sanitation practices were really thorough. 2. Some of the best teachers we've met on all our tours: Compared to teachers at other schools, they just felt one tier above in multiple ways through the way they approached our son, how they answered our questions, and the warmth they exuded. Nurturing and competent teachers with 50/50 Chinese and English. It's very clear they care and love the children. 3. Amazing selection of toys and stations for play: The space was well organized with a large selection of toys and stations that I could see were great for educational development masked as fun. 4. Healthy catered diverse lunch and snacks included - yay! 5. We're not Christian but appreciated the focus around Christian values of how to be good considerate citizens. That was the main goal for being a Christian school. 6. 6. Great prices for all you get: Price is really reasonable when you have all things offered with food provided wrapped together. It's comparably priced to most of the other Montessori Chinese immersion schools, less than the more expensive ones. For the quality and everything that you're getting, it felt very worth the price. We were living in Seattle and ideally wanted to send our toddler to a Chinese immersion Montessori school since my husband and I both work remotely and didn't want English to be the main language our kiddo was exposed to 24/7 but were open to all options; but we cared most about quality clean environment, teaching methodology, and good teachers/childcare professionals. We were so impressed by Shamrock we decided to move to Bellevue and send our toddler son there. He has been attending the Shamrock toddler class since he was 17 months old starting Sept 2025. He LOVES WenTing and Tandra who are his teachers and we can tell bc he runs into the class everyday, says how much he loves Tandra and WenTing, and talks about school to us at home. Despite our concerns it only took him one week to fully adjust and since attending he has not been sent home sick once!!! Anecdotal evidence of just how clean and how seriously they take sanitation practices at their school. I'm sure the other schools would have been great too but he's grown so much since going and we really couldn't imagine sending our kid anywhere else at this point.

Shamrock is truly a shamrock of schools - unique, special, and a loving environment for the kids. No school is perfect, but to me, I feel that Shamrock does a better job of educating my daughter than I could at home, and I trust the school 100%. Any time we have concerns, we have been able to discuss and resolve them with the school, and the teachers and administrators are open to feedback and constantly improving. This to me is more important than being "perfect" or "the best". The school and staff show a humility and love that is rare in daycare and early school settings. I also want to emphasize that Shamrock is a true Montessori school. Montessori is trendy now, and there are many schools claiming to be Montessori. I am familiar with Montessori as I practice at home. A true Montessori school doesn't just have the appropriate materials and work - it must be Montessori in spirit. Teachers must respect the individuality and progress of each child, and accept them for who they are, where they are, all while guiding them to improve and learn. I believe Shamrock does all of this, and I see it in my daughter. I am sending my younger daughter there in the fall. If you care about your child's spiritual, social and emotional development, about them being in a loving and caring and authentic environment, then Shamrock is the right place for your child's early years.
