I called and left several messages and never received a return call. Their service was spectacular in the past but horrible now. I went with another company (Atlanta Burglar Bars) and their customer service was outstanding. I wanted a Clearview security door for my front door. I am going to use Atlanta Burglar Bars to make one for my back patio door as well. They didccontact me on 12/10 and they were very nice. The messages I left were from 12/24, 12/27 and 12/28. Everything from the initial call and quote with Chris, to the guys (Robert and Preston) coming to install the security door was top notch. They arrived on time and installed the door in a timely manner. The door looks amazing! They even came back to double check something they felt wasn't quite right. I would have never known anything was "off". It really says something about their work ethic. I've had my door installed for a few years now. The paint is peeling and the frame is rusting. Also there is a lot of cool air coming in still. I've called several times, I've emailed, and I filled out the contact sheet to get help. No one has responded and I've been calling for months. So be prepared to get your expensive door installed and then be left high and dry after that. read more

This is an update to my review from 2011, for products purchased in 2008, on how everything has help up. There is not too much negative so lets start there: * The paint seems to have chipped early on, and those spots have not spread too much since then. * The clips that hold the glass in do tend to break when force is applied, this may be by design. They do supply extras though if needed. * The design for burglars bars, in 2009, keeps leaves and water trapped against the sill. As for the positive, they 110% do what they were made to do. Over the last 6-7 years the bars, doors, and door glass has seen crowbars, rocks, attempted kick ins and who knows what else. While the steel may bend a little, it never gives and the glass has never broken. No one has been able to break in through the steel/glass. With that said, I would like to offer one caution. If you need serious protection, I would avoid the 'hidden bars'. This is not an issue in construction, but by their inherit design to be hidden. The holes appear small, however they are big enough for even a small teen to fit through - you can guess how we know. If you do go with this product make sure your holes are small. Overall I have been very satisfied with the price, product and service of Ornamental Security. I would, and do, recommend them to anyone looking to get security on the exterior of their home. read more

The aluminum design looks good but inferior to the steel used by other companies. Also lacking the bar that covers up the gaps on the doors to prevent prying open. read more

I have used this company for the past 10 or so years since i have had my home in Atlanta. They have installed beautiful doors and beautiful security bars for two of my windows and two of my doors. Their doors and security bars are like fine pieces of art. Every time i have called them they are quick to answer the phone and lightning fast to come out and measure what they have to and get my doors ordered. They came out this past Tuesday to measure the door and today is Friday and the door is installed and fabulous looking. They installed a door on my backdoor about 3 years ago and my security bars about the same. They are painted white. Is the paint chipping and flaking off a little bit? Of course it is. They are exposed to the elements so that is bound to happen. Also, they do not collect any deposit or pre authorize your credit card in advance. They install the door first, ask if you are happy with it, then they ask for full payment. Their doors and security features for windows may be a tad bit more expensive than crap you can buy at Home Depot or Lowes but Home Depot or Lowes do not sell works of art like Ornamental Security does. If you need security features for your home this is the only company worth considering. read more

Bob came out very quickly, gave me a fair estimate and a wonderful description, explanation and several choices of design. I contracted with them, and the install took place very quickly. I was so pleased with the quality of the doors that I immediately ordered the windows. They do not look like security windows. As a matter of fact, if you didn't know I had them installed, you would think they weren't there. We feel safer with our security doors, but Ornamental Security has the worst customer service despite all the money they've collected from our neighborhood. Based on my experience, you will call and call to only leave messages. They will get back with you when it's convenient for them. The secretary will have you to believe that every house in metro Atlanta is being broken into and they're busy responding to those calls first. The installer will come out to measure your door and get a 1/2 deposit. If your door isn't black or red, make sure you give him a paint sample because he'll come back with the wrong color for your door. Then that's another 3-4 weeks to have to wait for your doors with the right color. Our doors' paint was peeling after 1 year. I called to have them fixed. It took them 2 months of constant calls to come get my doors and 1 month to return with them. The secretary told me installing doors for other people was more important than the aestethics of my doors. Our doors are still peeling and Ornamental Security lets my calls go to voicemail and hasn't return them. They really stick by their 1 year warranty. If possible, find another company to install your security doors. read more

I am a repeat customer. This company is great and they care about you and your home. The office secretary is very nice and courteous. She knows the business. The onsite consulting was no pressure. They will give you a written quote at your home and allow you to take all the time you need to decide. The consultant asked about my neighborhood association rules and made sure the products meet the rules. They have a nice showroom you can visit and just browse. I visited twice. I did not know how to really choose, but they put the right frames and colors together for me. I am so glad they recommended the colors, design, and high quality locks. The installers were excellent and wow, you could really hear those long screws going in. My doors are beautiful and the window bars blend in, and the house is securely beautiful. The price may seem a little high until you compare their custom made products to the others. OSI has been around along time, I used them 25 years ago on my other previous home.
