Cash only seems super sketch, especially when you're quoting me $670 for a 35 mile tow and you didn't give me the price before hooking my car onto your truck. Then you ask for $300 cash to take my car back off and leave it on the side of the road if I want to call my own towing company instead of using the one the state trooper called. Then you tell me that I'm holding you up and maybe you don't feel comfortable driving me with the car. I let them haul it off to their yard so that insurance would deal with it and took a Lyft back home. (Tow driver got all nice after that.) Insurance just told me that they weren't able to facilitate the release of my vehicle and I need to drive back down (in what car?) to release it in person. There is a remote validation option, but only for those out of state. The longer it takes me to find a way to get down there, the more they get to charge for keeping my vehicle in their yard. Do not use Orr's if you can help it. My vehicle was towed there after my accident and after a week in the hospital it cost almost $500 to retrieve it. Not to mention when we showed up they took an hour and a half lunch and then were late coming back from lunch. After which we found out it was cash only, which would have been nice to know in the hour and a half we had to kill, so we had to grab the cash and come back. I can't comment on your actual service but just wanted to say that if you're operating a large tow truck and especially have a trailer with a truck on it that you're pulling PLEASE learn traffic laws before you kill someone. I am 6 months pregnant and have my 2 year old in the car with me and you almost just plowed into the side of us because you failed to yield at a roundabout. Whoever is already in the roundabout has the right of way, you YIELD to who is already in it, you don't just plow through and hope for the best. And for the guy this morning to be very rude about me asking a question about my house keys on my fiancés car keys. I have pets at home and I hadn't been able to get to them all night AFTER WORK so my animals were trapped inside the house all day and night and all I wanted to know was if it was possible for me to get my house key especially since I am the one insuring this car. and the dude was very defensive. They are a cash only business. It cost $225 to tow a ford focus roughly 15 miles with a separate labor charge of $45 and an admin charge of $60. They were not transparent about pricing beforehand. Vehicle was towed due to my child parking in a no parking area at apartment complex of a friend (rightfully so). However, when the car was picked up the following morning, something on the frontend of the car "dropped" as soon as I pulled out of the lot. I immediately pulled to the side of the road so that I didn't cause any additional damage and I immediately called them but then went back to the business since it was right outside of their driveway. I was told by, I assume the owner, "not my problem" (verbatim), "you signed a release plus you weren't on my property". I was not argumentative, approached him nicely just to inform him because ultimately that's why you have insurance so I just wanted them to know that I had to report it to Geico. Second they made me sign for the vehicle before they brought the car out so there was no way to know anything was wrong as it was locked behind a gate. However, he was so extremely rude, it was unbelievable and actually walked away from the conversation. I assume this was because I was a female and probably should've sent my husband and her brothers to take care of this but I decided to pay the small fine, pick the vehicle up, and ultimately I wasn't concerned about the tow because I'd rather pay for a tow than her park far away from where she was going and get hurt in an area she isn't familiar with...so, again, the tow was not an issue. I would NEVER recommend these people to anyone because his attitude was uncalled for, unprofessional, and just outright rude. Then as I walked back to my car, I caught him videoing my vehicle's license plate of the car that was driven up there so I'm not clear if that was for me to see as an intimidation or something else. SCAMMERS. period. tow truck driver asked my boyfriend to line his truck up with the tow truck, okay no problem. He did, then got out and went to hand the tow truck driver, Charlie, his keys. Charlie then told him get back into his truck and steer his truck on to the tow truck. Weird request, but my boyfriend has never got a tow before so he thought it was normal to do. So he got back into his truck and started to roll down his window so he could hear Charlie. However, before my boyfriend even got fully into his truck, Charlie had started pulling his truck onto the tow truck WHILE STILL IN PARK. My boyfriend screamed at Charlie to stop because the truck was still in park, Charlie then responded "well put it in neutral!", but did not loosen the tow chain at all. My boyfriend then did what the "professional" said, put his truck in neutral, then there was a huge bang and fluid started pouring out of my boyfriends truck. When my boyfriend called to tell the owner, Rucker Orr, what happened, he basically told him to fuck off and that it wasn't their fault and that Charlie told him that my boyfriend INTENTIONALLY threw his truck into park to mess it up on purpose. What they didn't know is that my boyfriend starts a new job all the way in Morrow and NEEDS his truck to get there & he freaks out at the littlest things like a scratch or water getting inside his headlight, he would never ever do anything to mess up his truck on purpose. I called in to get a towing at 9:30 AM. By 10:17 AM they told me they were on their way. By 11:20 no one has arrived. So I call they said ETA is 12:15 PM. By 12:30PM No one has arrived. So I call and see what's going on and they say they're running behind and won't be here for another couple hour and that I should call another service to come tow my car instead. TERRIBLE experience. Friendly people - both the driver and dispatch- but poor customer service. My roadside assistance service sent them to our vacation rental for a flat tire. While the technician tried to change the tire, he accidentally stripped a lug nut and we decided it was best to tow the car to the dealership. This was all at 8pm at night so I appreciated that they came out at this hour and do not fault them for the very tight lug nuts. The technician put my car on the truck and said they would take it to the dealer at 9am when it opened. Of course, the dealer was out of the service range so all this was going to cost me $150 out-of-pocket. I explained to the driver that I needed to get the car repaired ASAP and he said he would do his best. The following morning, I called the dealership but they did not have my car. I called Orr towing who indicated they were having a busy morning due to a series of storms coming through the area and that they would get to my car "around lunch". I explained that I was with my family 300 miles from home and was trying to get the tire replaced so that we could drive home as soon as possible. Around 1 PM I called the dealership but still my car had not arrived. Another call to Orr towing in which I was informed that the car would be there by 2:30 PM. At 3 PM, I called the dealership who did not have a record of my car being delivered and said they would do their best to track it down-did I know who took delivery of the car? Yet another call to Orr who told me that they delivered my car but did not even have the name of the person who had received my vehicle. So here I am over 19 hours after Orr towing showed up. I have paid them $150 and I still don't know whether my car is at the dealership. At this late hour, it is highly unlikely that it will be repaired today. I have already incurred the cost of an extra night accommodation in my vacation rental and have no indication of when I might be able to return home. Friendly but incompetent! read more

I wish there was a way to give this "towing" company a 0 but alas these rip off artists will garner a 1. My vehicle's clutch went out on Sat. evening July the 6th and I was unable to get my friend to help me with moving the vehicle until Monday afternoon July the 8th. I had managed to park it off the roadway but it was on residential property and the homeowner had it towed sometime b4 I arrived Monday afternoon. After calling around I found that Orr's Towing had been called by the homeowner and it had been towed the approx. 6 miles to their yard on Hwy 29. The bill to get it out on Tuesday was $185 (6 miles) had I had the cash that day. The next day I was informed it had gone up to $220, which I still did not have. Lined up a $300 loan from a family member and was floored when I called to get the exact amount so I could have cash ready and the bill had jumped to $360. A six mile tow and 3 nights in their yard and again, what started out as $185 for a 6 mile tow had gone up 20% of bill , then approx 20+-% the next day and then around 50% again for the third day. This company RIPS YOU OFF.!!! I would rather haul my truck with a mule and a rope b4 I would let an Orr's truck near it. Jeff arrived within 20 mins of my call. It was raining and he did a thorough job of loading my car onto the wrecker. He was very professional and friendly. My daughter had an accident with her car an it was towed to a local dealer from that site. That area being LaGrange. I called 4 other towing services that said that from LaGrange to Sharpsburg is to far or "out of their normal business plan". The owner of Orr's (whom answers the phone with a very professional manner), said it was no problem! And that it could be done today. The company that towed it from scene to LaGrange wanted $280 to tow to my home in Sharpsburg, well Orr's charged me less than half and had the job completed by 4pm!! When you consider my first call to them was at 1pm, I would say that is an excellent time frame and excellent service. The driver was knowledgeable about the damages and knew how to handle the vehicle in its current "accident" condition.
