I have had all the problems with flight safety, from being a chief pilot to Director of Operation to a corporate operator. The president in Columbus, Ohio, is far removed from all the problems and competency in fundamental teaching. If you send an email to anyone or to the president to let them know how deep the issues are, she will threaten you, or there will be retaliation at you next training date.

He was the the instructor from hell. The other instructor scored me high. I have over 3000 total hours and 770 hours in a Barron and 1100 in a King Air. Maybe a good school but they hire poor instructors. I have in the pass did my sim training at Simcom. A much better organization. Their instructors use positive instructor to improve your skills. Save your money and go to Simcom.

I fly united on many small routes from DIA and Wichita is one of those. The airline staff here, from check in to flight crew, seem capable and friendly. Recent flight from ICT to DEN was delayed due to weather in denver but the plane showed up earlier than expected and the turn around was fast and we were only a few minutes delayed in the end. Recent international travel on United was great and I'll be doing some east coast travel soon and will test the waters at the larger hubs but based on past experience, I don't expect any real issues.

All the forums and recommendations, including BeechTalk, were to give "Jake from Bevan" a call. This may be the best aviation company I've ever dealt with. Their turn around time was very fast (about a week and a half), their work is quality and their prices were extremely fair (~$680 to repair the lateral card). The unit was returned to me packaged well and with all the required documentation. I can see why everyone likes Bevan - I am very pleased!

I landed my Cessna 441 at Yingling Aviation in Wichita, Kansas, and their lineman broke the lever…read moreoff the rudder gust lock during handling. For the first two days, I had to repeatedly call them with no callbacks while I was in class at FlightSafety. On the third day, they finally confirmed the part was on a desk and a mechanic would look at it, but communication remained poor--they even refused to take my calls at one point. When I followed up days later (planning to depart that Saturday), they denied responsibility, claiming the mechanism was overly tight and the lineman only sheared a screw, which they replaced with an oversized one. They had clearly removed other screws during inspection but failed to replace them. They quoted nearly $1,000 and four hours of labor to clean and fix the mechanism--far more than necessary. I instructed them not to touch it further, as my home mechanic later confirmed it was a simple one-hour job he'd handle for free after cleaning it up. The overall customer service was dismissive, arrogant, and unhelpful, with no accountability for their employee's damage. For a large company that advertises expertise with Cessna and Beechcraft products, this level of inattention and poor handling is unacceptable. I will never return to Yingling Aviation and strongly recommend other pilots avoid them for maintenance or line service. Thanks for very little... Scott!
