I'm here for sinus and nasal surgery. It's accomplished and I actually feel pretty good. Nursing is awesome, which is usually true of nurses. The doctors and the anesthesiologist were excellent. The facilities are great. I'm very pleased with the whole place. Mind you, my face hurts, as is expected when one resists painkillers. I will give in shortly. So here's the scoop: During my follow-up at Ortho Nebraska Oakview, I was told that surgery could be scheduled that afternoon Yes, that same day! They told me to show up at the hospital by 2 PM for my 4 PM slot. After some quick schedule juggling (because, life), I was there and ready. Check-in was fast and friendly. The pre-op nurses were fantastic--my husband and I even cracked a few jokes about my "graceful" injury (hey, laughter is the best medicine, right?). Dr. Monte Christo gave me a nerve block, and honestly, the next thing I knew, I was waking up in recovery wondering what just happened! Recovery was cozy--two slices of peanut butter toast and a Diet Coke to help me wake up, and before I knew it, I was heading home. Bonus points for the post-op staff handling my pain meds prescription so I didn't have to run around town chasing it down. All in all, what could have been a stressful, scary day turned into a smooth, well-cared-for experience thanks to the amazing Ortho Nebraska team. They made a tough situation a whole lot easier, and while I hope my orthopedic adventures are on pause for a while, I know exactly where I'd go if they're not. OrthoNebraska Hospital - Waiting for surgery... - Hospitals Near Me - Omaha, Nebraska

I saw a Doctor at Ortho NE in the fall of 2025, who recommended I work with a physical therapist. I asked the doctor if I could see a physical therapist at my work, as I work at a skilled nursing and rehab facility. The doctor recommend that I not see one at my work since they specialize in elder care. So, I scheduled an appointment to receive therapy at a Ortho NE clinic. I received physical therapy in December of 2025. When I received the bill for $862.00 for 2 hours of therapy, I was shocked. I called at least 4 other physical therapy clinics in town to check on the cost of therapy. The quotes I was given are no where near the cost that Ortho NE is charging. When I called to talk with someone in billing to make sure my bill was correct, I was informed that they bill at a hospital rate. I asked why I was never informed about this and why no one contacted me to review that cost. I started working with Stacy the assistant manager of patient finances in February 2026. I was told by her that the bill was a misquoted and she was sending it to her manager for review. On March 11, 2026, I followed up with Stacy who said they would take $215 off the bill and the total I would owe would be $646.00. I was still not happy with this amount as I feel I am being over charged so I asked Stacy to talk with her manager again. Stacy said she would and would call me back. I did a follow up call with Stacy on April 14, 2026, and was told by Stacy that she was still working on it and had not forgotten about me. She was just waiting to hear back from her manager. I have since left Stacy a voicemail on May 11 and 13, with no return call from her. On May 28, 2026, I called and spoke with Rusty from the billing department who said he would send an urgent email and have someone get back to me. On June 11, 2026, I did another follow up call since no one had called me. This time I spoke with Cora who confirmed that Rusty did send an urgent email to three managers, and she seemed surprised that no one had reached out to me. Cora sent out another urgent email to request someone contact me. I am still waiting but at this point I am doubtfully anyone will contact me. read more

Not a patient here, yet my wife was seen in the ER for a work injury, and i was there with her most of the time. The receptionist at the year was not the greatest. She was very short with my wife and me as well, even snippy at times. However, the care team was amazing. Nurses and doctors alike made sure my wife had all she needed and included me in the conversations about her care and next steps for her recovery. All the areas we saw were very clean and organized making this a great experience. We will definitely recommend this hospital and would the need arise in the future, use it for our care as well! read more

Dealing with the billing department has been beyond frustrating. I call and sit on hold for what seems like forever then leave a message and no one calls me back. Then I wait on hold until someone answers and he tries to help but I still have no answers as to why my UHC is not paying.... read more

I would specifically not recommend this place for physical therapy. Surgery and operations top-notch good doctors. Physical therapy here however is a fucking joke. Might as well show up in a clown car if you think these guys are gonna rehab you. read more

I just had my shoulder operated on. The people at OrthoNebraska Hospital were wonderful! What made them special? - They cared. They really cared about me, my comfort and my concerns. From Dr. Delicio through all the various nurses and personnel involved, they cared about me. - They were kind, respectful, helpful, friendly, cheerful and always smiling. Even in the hallways, with no patients around, they smiled to each other. This wonderful attitude passed on 'great vibes' to us nervous patients. - They were professional. From the youngest CNA to the more experienced head nurse (who was constantly going about with her clipboard in hand - ready to provide assistance if needed), they were all very professional. After my operation, I had to wait a little bit for my wife. As I waited on the gurney I could observe the Nurse's Station. It was quiet and peaceful enough I could hear much of what they said. (I have exceptional hearing and nothing else to do, so I eavesdropped.) Not once did I hear a disparaging remark or private information about another patient or co-worker. What I did hear was friendly banter, questions about procedures (there was a new nurse being trained), and information passed between the staff so they could provide such good care. I was so very impressed. I would recommend this fine hospital to anyone who needs orthopedic care. Thank you, to all you wonderful people who made my stressful day so much better! read more

i've had 4 total knee replacements at this facility. They are super. (and you do the math and say, 4 replacements, and you are super pleased, what gives??? lets just say they did everything right, but that drunk driver that hit us was a real jerk) I would suggest you take a real good look at the facilities... very clean. its a good indicator of the process control and their focus on details. I know the physical therapy is going to hurt, it does, but if you follow the regime, you will have a complete recovery and total range of motion. they will get you up and moving very quickly after the surgery. they will leave you with a nice reminder of the visit. the scar is a whole lot better than the before picture. the folks are personable, but professional. knowledgeable but approachable. they will share with you as little or as much as you want to know. personally, i'd recommend that you DON'T do a youtube video search of the procedure. its not pretty. But be informed of the process, ask lots of questions, and know that you got experienced professionals who do an outstanding job at a very reasonable cost. read more

It is not every day that I would give a hospital 5 stars, but if you have to have some kind of orthopeadic surgery I definitly reccomend this place. Unfortunately I have had two knee surgeries here and was very happy with the hospital both times. In addition, since it is an ortho only hospital there are not a lot of really sick people, so there is less chance of getting some weird infection or illness. When you walk into the lobby there is a calming waterfall and the lobby does not look or smell like a typical hospital. I had to stay overnight both times and the rooms are "upscale" for a hospital - each room is private and you can have a guest stay overnight on the couch that turns into a bed. They also have roomservice, which I have to say was pretty good for hospital food. Most of the staff was very friendly. My only complaint was the recovery room staff - maybe it was the morphine, but I swear the nurses were having a competition on who could get their patient out of recovery the fastest - apparently I was not winning the race because my nurse was not very patient when i did not want to wake up and get wheeled to my room. Stopped in for a little bone spur removal on my foot. The staff was very friendly and efficient. The presurgery and post surgery instructions and contacts were very helpful. The facility appears to have the latest technology and the procedure went well. Hope I don't have to come back but I know I'll be in good hands if I do. read more

Make very certain your insurance covers your surgery before you deal with this place. Make absolutely sure for yourself - do not trust to their staff, who will reassure you it's covered and make you feel like everything is going to be fine, because they're sure not friendly or reassuring after the fact when it turns out, surprise! they were incorrect, your insurance covers nothing, and you are stuck with a bill in the thousands. read more

A big shout out to Dr. Jones and all the E.R. Staff. I had multiple bee stings and they got me back quickly and were so kind. They were professional and worked quicklyt to stop the allergic reaction. It was a very scary situation but their calm demeanor helped me stay calm also. read more

I took my mom to the ER today because of a fall she had at a local grocery store. She was pretty banged up so we went in and they quoted us a half hour wait. With in 20 minutes they were calling her name to come back. It seemed to be going great, they checked her in and said it might be a little while but who knew that a little while would turn into 2 hours. Now I know ERs can be very busy places but when we were quoted a little bit and not one single person came to check on us or leave us with a remote for the tv it gets a little ridiculous. read more

I've used Nebraska Orthopedic on two occasions now for surgeries, both times several tumors were removed, lipomas actually. Now that I'm familiar with the place, my opinion on their practices are low. The nursing staff was average in terms of the care they provide but jovial and irreverent in groups. I was placed in pre-op next to a women talking loudly, obnoxiously and playing around on a tablet, which hastened to piss me off. The doctor was also marginally nasty to other people in the area. To top it off, when my surgery was over I was prescribed something for pain that had little or no therapeutic value. I would not recommend this place for surgery. Maybe since they ARE an orthopedic hospital, they should stick to that and not bridge the gap between back and neck discomfort and or injuries and real surgery and medicine. Two stars is a generous rating in my case. Don't allow yourself the opportunity to be bull dogged into having work done here. #pissed-off #swag #dandy read more

Easy 5 stars for Nebraska Orthopaedic Hospital. While back surgery is never pleasant they do everything to make the experience as good as it can possibly be. The facility is spotless and in terms of technology they're ahead of their time. Nothing is spared when it comes to the care and consideration of their patients. I've been in a few hospitals and the bedside manner and professionalism displayed by the staff here is beyond anything I've ever experienced. Everyone involved from checkin to pre-op to post-op and especially the nurses I had for my three day recovery stay are as close to angels as you can get. read more
