This loophole was because their Agent "Star Nsurance" miss wrote the policy and didn't put the one and only owner of the vehicle and the one and only the person on the auto lien on the vehicle's insurance policy. I don't even know how you can write an insurance policy without having the owner of the vehicle on it? BUT Malik very happily denied paying for the vehicle because this loophole gave him an out. Progressive would rather spend money on fancy witty commercials then pay for loyal customer when we need them. I would suggest Geico, they're much more attentive and customer friendly. But if you go with Progressive make sure you educate yourself on all of the insurance laws and read your contract from end-to-end, because they will use any possible loophole to deny paying you regardless of if you paid them on time all the time or not. Apparently they deny coverage as a regular part of doing business, and pay Flo off for her witty commercials to draw in new prey! ---- Here's an update, a Progressive Agent reached out to me and was very nice however offered nothing except that he felt bad for my situation. I don't understand the point of that call. He all but admitted that my situation should have never happened but he blamed the agent that writes his policies and still offered to do nothing for me except try to get me to say I like Progressive and it's not their fault. He hasn't moved me in fact I'm telling you now don't ever do business with Progressive they will screw you if they have an opportunity to. Then they'll call you up and try to sweet-talk you after they're done screwing you over. I've used Geico before and I promise you they were much better company that believes in customer service and has moral and ethical values.

I gave the agent all the information needed for a small whole life policy, he gave me a quote which sounded very good, and my wife was approved. He sent me an application via email. And since my wife was working at the time, the agent made an appointment to call us back to go over the policy with both of us, so he set up a callback for April 2, 2026 from 12-12:30 pm to speak to my wife and finalize the policy. Well, April 2, 12pm came and gone, with no call back. So I called his number he gave me, the message said he wasn't available to take my call, so I called the main number for Elite insurance company. I got another licensed insurance agent, before I had a chance to tell her why I was calling she had already started her pitch to try to sell me an insurance policy. I interrupted her as nicely as I could and told her why I was calling. She found my information in the computer and after I gave her all the information she needed to confirm it was me that was calling. She just said that my agent was out to lunch. My first thought was, why would he schedule a call back to talk to me and my wife about the policy he was selling us during his lunch? She told me that he would return my call as soon as he returned from lunch. Well, the call back never came that day or the next day. So I started calling his direct line, and I would get the same thing every time, he was not available to talk my call. So I tried the company's main number again, and all I would get was my call was rotated back to my agents voicemail which said he was unavailable. I was not able to get through to anyone after that because nobody would take my call and my calls would be routed back to my agents voicemail which said he wasn't available. so by this time I was not happy with the way I was treated by Elite Insurance Company. I gave up on Elite and called another Insurance Company, I called Ethos, got a licensed agent, explained to the agent what I wanted and what happened with the last Insurance Co, and they were able to find all my wife's information in their database. Ethos, was not only able to sell me a policy for my wife, but they got me a larger amount of coverage for less money per month! Bottom line, really disappointed with the experience I had with Elite Insurance Co.

I called today after multiple VMs to have them remove my number from their call list. I could literally not get a word in! Finally I asked the agent to please SHUT UP and LISTEN!
