"Two Eds are better than one." Happened upon Osborne's on a road trip, stopping off in Wilmington last week to see an old college friend for lunch and mentioning my car trouble; he steered me to Ed and his son. Post sushi at a nearby market my 15 yr old daughter and I rolled over without an appointment about 1 o clock. I explained what was happening, what I suspected, etc. We've had our Toyota Sienna since day 1, it's about 9 years old, with roughly 150K + miles. No stranger to road trips so had prepped as much as I could without going nutty. We suspected the battery was failing, and in its replacement the radiator then exhibited some non-negotiable brittle hose action, so that fell in queue as needed too because again: road trip. And we weren't even halfway finished in our anticipated travels. In short, the duo dug in and had us back on the road by 3 o clock, a wee 2 hours time. The guys at Osborne's are real honest guys. I was having trouble with the AC in my car and took it to an auto repair shop in Maryland but they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. Still charged me $175 just for looking at my car. So I took my car to Osborne's for a 2nd opinion and they told me my AC just needed an extra electricity charge to get it going. Didn't charge me any money for their service or time. I'd highly recommend Osborne's if you're looking for some honest car diagnosis and great service. My car is running better than it has in years after I dropped it off at Osborne's. I was having serious problems with my transmission and my car was losing power and Osborne's was able to run a diagnostic and fix it in the course of the morning. Took my SUV to Osbornes auto was overwhelmed with the service and how I was treated. I drive a Chevy SUV and was told by the Dealer that I needed over $1400 for engine work after being towed to the dealer by AAA. My car had over 155K on it so I was unsure if this was a wise repair. Had the car taken to Osbornes for a second opinion since I was going to scrap the car if the repairs were confirmed. Ed Osborne called me with great news. The fuel pump which was located in the gas tank was bad and could be repaired for MUCH less than he Chevy dealer. Needless to say, I told Osbornes to do the work and this will allow me to save a little more money before looking for another car in the spring.
