They provided a full inspection report and they only did the work requested, since I can do a lot of minor repairs. There was no pressure. Communication was great. well I had a leak in my rear tire that was repaired and oil changed. after the car was inspected it was found that some other issues needed to be addressed. I guess the one thing I wish I had discussed more thoroughly was the brake pad showed wear 4-5 mm. the initial report said it would be checked again at the next visit. when I spoke to the mechanic I said I would leave it up to them to decide. I had no issues driving and I believe it could have waited until the next oi change. especially when I got the bill for nearly $1500. overall it was a good experience with great service. read more

I came here twice for car service. They are polite and thorough when looking at your car. The first time I brought it in I okayed for them to change the front arm bars. I was specific in what services were okay and which ones were not approved as I went down the report with the service person. when I got the bill I was surprised to see that they charged me for other services and tried to say that I okayed all the work and would not budge. The next time I came in they quoted me over $700 for changing spark plugs on a 4 cylinder vehicle. I said no thanks and called the dealership just to find out how much they would charge. They said $300 tops. Needless to say, this is the last time I will be taking my car here. read more

This is the second vehicle that I have spent over $1000 and get the car back to have the engine light come on within a couple of hours. In addition, the tan leather interior was covered in grease and the car was muddy. When I called, they asked to come pick it up to make it right and never came, never called. My car had to be serviced and after reading the amazing reviews I headed over to Paul Campenella's. From the second I walked into the door I was greeted and instantly started my oil change. They offered me a ride back to my home and even picked me up! When my car was ready- they texted me the invoice and a really detailed report- and mentioned what was important in green, yellow and red. I was really surprised and called back and added two more services from their recommendations. My husband is going back next week! Took advantage of their shuttle services for tire replacement and oil change. They worked with the warranty company to get the tires covered. Not only did they put the spare tire back, they rounded up the Jack pieces I had left out and they put it back. Was completely surprised they cleaned up the inside when it wasn't their mess. They found stuff wrong with the car and fixed what I asked them to. I like that they take pictures of specifically whats wrong and (in my experience) they don't perform any repairs unless you give them the OK. I am a little peeved because they wanted to charge me around $300 for a serpentine belt replacement; this was the case because my car (2014 Chevy Cruze) has a difficult-to-replace belt. While they ARE the professionals, I was able to quickly find a video describing a Chevy Cruze belt replacement as an "easy fix". They are good people in there, but just be wary of what repairs rhey reccomend and what they want to charge you. read more

My check engine light came on during my drive home. I called Paul Campanella's based on their yelp reviews and they were able to have me bring the car in the next morning. Their shuttle took me straight to work without any wait--I actually ended up being early to work because I had anticipated having to wait for the shuttle. They called me mid afternoon to explain what was needed to fix my car and some other issues that they recommended that I have addressed. Some of the items were indicated to be for the overall longevity of the car, but not urgent repairs and others were more safety issues or needed to be fixed for the immediate drive ability of the car. I'm not an auto expert by any means, I and I appreciated them explaining what the different items they recommended repairing or cleaning were, their purpose, and cost. The part for my evaporation system (the cause of my check engine light) that needed to be replaced had to be ordered. Paul's gave me a complimentary loaner until the part came in and was replaced. The total cost to repair my vehicle ended up about $200 lower than the estimate which was great. It's also driving noticeably better. read more

Unprofessional service adviser in my visit on 3/17/23. Came in for an Oil change. The usual, they do the 26point inspection. Mike Donnelly insisted that they are not the shop for me since I didn't go with their recommended repairs. I told him I cannot afford the $3,000 repairs that he insists to be done and tells me that they have financing available. Told him I don't want to be in debt. Yet he keeps pushing and finally told me to find another shop. This is my experience and I will not come back to this shop and will not refer this company to anyone. read more

For the last 5 years , Campanello's has provided outstanding service for my Lexus RX 350 . After dropping off the car , a detailed , comprehensive , emailed report is sent that is followed up by a phone conversation , I was fully informed about the work my car required . Most recently , The extent of the repairs , while expensive , were in line with normal wear and tear on a 2010 vehicle . Campenello's generously picked me up at home , loaned me a car ( a Lexus) for 4 days and went above and beyond any car service i've ever received before . Manager Jason answered every question I had and communicated clearly with patience and kindness . I also needed an estimate on body work . Campenello's offered to facilitate this process by driving the car to a reputable body shop and obtaining an estimate . All the while I am driving the loaner car they provided . These people are the BIGGEST RIPOFFS EVER!!! They will tell you that you need all these things done even if youve changed your air and cabin filters yourself earlier!!! I changed my sons myself, thats how easy they are!!!! They got the gall to charge OVER 47.00 to change them when it literally takes about 2 minutes each, plus they jack up the prices for parts 3 times, too!!!! Total scammers!! Honestly probably one of the best shops you can go to. What's not to love about a family run business with people who actually give you the run down of all your problems that your car has. No bullshitting and straight up honesty is what you get from this shop. So far I have taken a 2017 sonata sport and a 2005 rx8 shinka for full inspections. They give you a link of all the issues that were found and tested for during trouble shooting and visual inspections. The link is always accessible if you ever lose your papers or you lost your email or what not so you will always have service history backed into there cloud. The employees there are amazing and have manners they will explain what needs to be done, estimates, and provide basic services such as refilling windshield washer fluid. This shop charges outrageous prices to uninformed customers who do not realize the reason so many employees are sitting around at desks when you walk in, smiling and being nice, is because you as the customer are paying for them to be there. When I was quoted over a thousand dollars for an axle boot repair, I went to John Pinter who specializes in Audis a few blocks away and was quoted by him only 300 bucks for the same repair. This was after I already told him Campanella's quoted 1000, exposing myself that I had no idea what a fair price would be, and he still said he wouldn't feel right charging me more than 300 for the axle boot, a repair he said he can do in fifteen minutes. John also told me that Paul Campanella often takes on work at his crazy prices, and then hires John to complete the work, especially on imports like my Audi. And BOTH parties turn a profit. Now the 1000 dollar cost starts to make sense. Hint to readers: Go to John Pinter. The shop is ugly and in a bad location because you're saving money. Get a five dollar uber ride to work rather than being thrilled about a 'free ride' you overpaid 700 dollars to take. Paul, back to our phone conversation, my feedback to you was about the amount of the fee, not the existence of the fee. And that's also in the recording you cited in your response to me on google reviews, which you didn't advise me of when you called me and is frankly both creepy and funny to me that you'd go back and listen to that whole call again rather than just refund a customer of ten years a few bucks. While we're sharing things discussed in confidence over Google reviews, when you drove me to work one day one on one you told me your employees won't stay off their phones so you had to address it in a morning meeting with them. If your employees are that bored at their job, fire them and charge less. Free advice. Paul, instead of listening to me and having your actions back up your feigned concern for me as a customer, you kept the 125 in full, which I was still glad to pay so that my total cost of repair ended up being 300 to John Pinter plus 125 to you, making 425 instead of 1000+. I was nice to you on the phone because you're a nice guy, and so am I. I didn't then 'run to my keyboard' to tell a different story than I told you. I walked, and I entered the exact result of our conversation into the system of record. Your arrogance towards me and anyone else that has something negative to say about you is very clear in your response here as well as any other negative reviews on your page, and there are many. In conclusion, keep handing out k cups until you get enough 5 star reviews to make this go away. I've said my piece. THIEVERY IS THE BEST WAY TO DESCRIBE THIS COMPANY'S BUSINESS PLAN! I brought my car here for one new tire, possibly three new tires, as well as an oil change. Within a couple of hours of having dropped off my car there, someone contacted me to tell me that my well-maintained 2007 Honda Fit needed $4,700 worth of work done to it in order for it to be driven "safely." Ironically, none of the work involved the motor or transmission. Imagine that? The car isn't even worth $4,700, and it only has about 120,000 miles on it!! I have always been diligent about regular maintenance of my car, so there was no way in hell that it needed $4,700 worth of work that they claimed was necessary for it to drive safely. Could it be that they were taking advantage of a FEMALE customer who they THOUGHT "doesn't know any better?" Or......could it be that they were taking advantage of me being a NEW customer? Maybe they need their customers to pay for their new state-of-the-art facility that deceives people into thinking they are competent and professional???? Needless to say, I didn't fall for the fraudulent manner in which they run their business! I told them to not do a single thing and that I'd be right over to take my car somewhere else for servicing. When I got there, one of the employees stated that I couldn't have my keys back unless I signed a document stating that the car was "not safe to drive." I told them what they could do with that document because I wasn't going to sign anything, since they didn't do any work to the car! They insisted, however, until I threatened to call the police for THEFT~! They were then quick to give me my keys! Two employees followed me out to the parking lot to my car and harassed me the entire time, even as I was driving away! As I drove away, I noticed there was a used cabin air filter on the floor of my passenger seat. They had the nerve to take out the filter but not put it back! When I spoke to them earlier that day, they quoted me $150 to replace it. I told them absolutely NOT. Later that evening, I bought a new filter at Auto Zone for $19.99 and replaced it myself~! To charge $130 for one minute of labor to replace the cabin air filter is nothing less than thievery! They also quoted me $115 for a simple oil change that I had been paying $35 for elsewhere! I'd place a LARGE wager that all the positive online reviews for them are from friends and family of the employees. There is NO WAY in hell that anyone, with even as little as a half of a brain, could be satisfied with shysters working on their cars! CONSUMERS BEWARE !!! FOOTNOTE: This company sure does know how to create fictitious responses to negative reviews! Their stretching of the truth is an understatement! My cussing began AFTER I was told I needed $4,700 worth of unnecessary work AND after I was told I wasn't going to receive my keys to my car simply because I refused to sign their bogus documents!
