I brought my car in for a coolant leak. They diagnosed it as a "bad thermostat and radiator hose" and charged me $1,300. A few weeks later, the coolant leak came back and my engine overheated. I brought it back for re-diagnosis and got assigned to Andrew. That's when the real nightmare began. Andrew ghosted me for weeks while my car sat at their shop, disassembled and collecting dust. I had to call repeatedly just to get updates because apparently, nobody else in the building could help me while Andrew was on vacation. When he finally returned, he informed me the engine was "warped" and needed to be replaced. He claimed he "ordered the engine in advance" while waiting for warranty approval. Another month went by with no updates unless I called, only to later find out from the parts department that no engine was ever ordered. The warranty denied the claim because of overheating -- a direct result of their botched first repair. Preston CDJR then quoted me $10,775 for a new engine or $2,143 to just reassemble the car with no guarantee it would even run. I declined and had my car towed out of their shop. My mechanic friend (an Acura master tech) fixed it in his driveway in 2 weeks for $1,500 total -- parts included. Turns out the engine was fine; all it needed was a head gasket. To make things worse, Preston CDJR failed to return my catalytic converter and timing components. I had to personally track them down and drive back to retrieve them. No apology. No accountability. And THEN Andrew texted me weeks later asking for a "10 out of 10" survey and to mark it as "Fixed Right the First Time." This was the most unprofessional, dishonest, and incompetent experience I've ever had at a dealership. Avoid Preston CDJR Wilmington at all costs. read more

It took four hours to complete my service. And the Service Manager told me Sir it takes 4 hours to do that type of service. Even though it sat out front for 2 1/2 hours before they took it in the garage to work on it. Lied directly to me to face. Oil change, front brakes and ground rotors, flush brake fluids. Not sure what the issue is with the service department at this place. I put in a request to come in and get my Ram Truck Serviced and multipoint inspection done. Check engine light was on and came back with an active shutter module error. While waiting for the truck, 6 hours at the dealership, no call, no text, and my advisor Andrew didn't come back with any updates. I finally went to the counter and saw my truck keys sitting there with paperwork. Finally talked to Andrew my advisor, and not only did they not have the right contact information for me even though I scheduled everything online with my correct information, but they said nothing was wrong with the truck, cleared the code, cleaned the connections and asked me to drive it for a few days. Andrew let me know it may take a few days for everything to sync. For some reason they couldn't find my truck and were also confused saying that my truck's backup camera wasn't working. I didn't even bring the truck in for a backup camera issue. They pulled my truck around, put the truck in reverse and the camera came right on.Put the truck in reverse and park multiple times and the backup camera came on every time. Even checked the surround view cameras and they were all working. Another service adviser even said to me "I don't know what the hell these guys are talking about or doing" Not even 30 minutes after driving it off, the engine light came back on. Took the truck back immediately and Andrew ran the code again. Same Error. I was then told that this module and connector would need to be replaced and they are going to order the part. "The part should be here within 1-2 days and we will call you to get it in here and taken care of" They also said they completed the 165 point inspection and everything was working great on the truck. THAT WAS 3 WEEKS AGO. I haven't heard from this service place to even let me know that the part has arrived or even to come in to get this fixed. I haven't heard from them to even say that the part is on back order. I called to speak to Andrew and was sent directly to voicemail. So today, not only did I take it to David's Dodge in Chadds Ford, but they were able to fix the issue in 2 hours and get me going. While the truck was getting serviced, they also mentioned that my third brake light (light above the truck bed) was out and has been out for a while it looks like. I guess Preston Service missed that during their 165 point inspection that I paid for. First impressions are major with me. Will never go back to this place for anything and won't recommend anyone either. read more

Tried purchasing a jeep online since I'm 4 hours away and was made to go through jump after jump by adding car to my insurance and paying $250 to add that, as well as making financial adjustments, ordering checks, paid for pick up which was also $600. Just to tell me last minute (the day I'm supposed to be receiving contracts and forms) to mail back with messaging me that Saturday morning that they "sold" it. After they dinged my credit and made me go through all these jumps and disregarded other jeeps I've could've purchased instead. I DO NOT RECOMMEND WHAT SO EVER. Completely bullshit. read more

Took my car here Aug 26th for an oil change they did a full diagnostic said everything was fine yet a month later both my batteries are dead and they want $930 for it even though I had bought one of the batteries and just needed them to put it in my car. Very little communication didn't call me when it was ready to be picked up and when I came inside all they did was stare not hi how May I help you and when I announce I'm here to get my car only then I was told to go to the cashier where the cashier told me my car wasn't ready and to go back to the advisors to figure out why.... Mind you they're two steps from each other and yet when I went back to the advisors they kept they heads down no one looked like they wanted to help. Finally I announced my name and where's my car and they went to go get the guy who worked on it who arrived and still didn't say anything to me until I asked if he was who I was supposed to be speaking to. Waited then for him to tell me what's going on he told me I can go take a seat until the paperwork comes. It was all very me man me know cars you women you know nothing read more
